What a wonderful creation by Great SD Burman,Asha bhosle and Manna de.There are few songs where other singers contributed for Kishor Kumar.Manna de was one of those. It indicated that the objective of all these stalwarts was to produce a Quality Song.Since Kk himself could have sung the song but it was SD who knew exactly the most suitable voice for the composition and KK too agreed for the same.It was really appreciable that everyone had thought of melody first. The song has excellent beginning and just fit for a rocking dance situation.Use of Guitar,Drums,Accordion create wonderful vibrations to take a listener to the dancing world.Kalpana looked beautiful and Kishor Kumar as usual was fantastic. Its a pure melody of 60s when twist and rock n Roll were in fashion and SD Burman was fantastic to put Shailendra's unmatched lyrics to rocking rhythm through spectacular Asha and versatile Mannade.Enjoyed thoroughly this immortal melody. Thanks a lot for uploading such rare gems..
The singer is Manna Day. I believe Manna Day and Edwina both were not included in the credits of the movie. This is one of few songs in which Kishore Kumar got playback from other singers. Other songs where Kishore Kumar got playback: Chota sa ghar hoga (sad version) - Naukari - Hemant Kumar; Ajab hai dastan Teri yeh zindagi - Shararat - Mohammed Rafi; Man mora baawara - Raagini - Muhhamed Rafi; Aap huye mere main tumhari hui - Karorepati - Manna Day; Pehle murgi hui thi ki anda - Krorepati - Manna Day; Chalti chali jaaye - Door ka rahi - Hemant Kumar; Apni aadat hai - Pyar diwaana - Mohhamed rafi.
I guess you and the ones before you are correct. My apologies. I just checked with a different online source to confirm and it agrees with you. Thank you for the correction. I'll make the change.
It’s incredible to note how quickly Indian intellect grasped any new medium introduced and raced far ahead in it, take for example movie making cinema and what wonderful mesmerizing thoughtful path breaking content even with none of so called too much modern cinema machines of west , the minds sensibilities which were far ahead never gave any technical glitch or content glitch right from that beginning and all of it with visual proofs this number from that era of “ mermaid’ gowns , Doll round eyed heroines, clubs music the works
Can't get over Asha's superlative rendition, ably supported of course by the great Manna Dey! The lady sounds utterly magical and the restored sound is simply glorious!
I watched the movie ,when this movie was released initially . This song was in colour .Due to neglect and in absence of proper upkeep the song has been rendered ,black and white.

मन्ना डे ही गायक हैं इस गाने में .किशोर कुमार जिस पर अभिनय कर रहे हैं.
यही एक गाना है जिस में सचिन दा ने परदे पर किशोर को मन्ना डे की आवाज़ दी थी.
