I have a reaction to battery pack I use it in my grasshopper Tamiya grasshopper.
A tamiya sport tuned 370 motor might be a bit faster then the stock motor that comes with these & the new mini t, could be a upgrade too consider on a budget, along with tires better made for dirt. (that pattern is more for like indoor carpet tracks i believe or astroturf.)

The suspension design on those is really cool.
Buy a 12 pack of soda, and you have a race track... Anywhere. Keep them brushed, just keep your straights short, and they are plenty fast
Just seen the price... Too many brushless mini's avail for same or cheaper price. I can get same quality from bangood for under 100$. I might bite for 120 from losi, but that's too much.
@@ragsixracing You will not find the anything near the "same quality" on Banggood when comparing to a Losi product. Not saying that people shouldn't buy from Banggood, it has its place in the hobby and helps people enjoy RC, which is great. Consumers will find value with products purchased from BG, but QC, quality of materials, crafstmanship, and design with Losi will always be head over heels above anything you find on Banggood.
@@alajeunesse254 a year ago, I probably would have agreed with you. These companies have been stepping up their game, updating their products and producing much higher quality products. Especially in the mini scales. You can get something with 90% the quality for 50-60$ less. Heck you can get a traxxas bandit for 150. This is overpriced.
@@ragsixracing I suppose we can agree to disagree. I see your point where you can buy a Traxxas Bandit for $150, I believe yesterday you could pick up a 1/10 Arrma monster truck for under $100, but I still don't feel that the pricing is unfair on the Mini-B. Anything that you buy in this price range (for 1/10 scale) would be strictly a base-model basher, where the Mini-B is intended to be a 1/16 race buggy. I've seen multiple people that have received one early state that it is hands down the best mini 2wd buggy you can get for the track. Ultimately I think it boils down to what you're looking for in terms of experience out of the vehicle, what your intended use is, etc. For me, to own a top performing 2wd mini buggy for this price to race on my carpet track seems totally fair, especially when I already have a Mini-T 2.0 and many of the spare parts I have will work with both. Like anything, though, value is perceived by the consumer and one person may find it to be a good value while another thinks the opposite, it all lies in what exactly creates "value" in a product for any individual

As racer that your gonna buy to put another few hundred dollars in to race? I can agree that this might be the best designed race chassis, so 150 for a seasoned racer to buy and upgrade is a great start. Too bad all the electronics are useless. A kit would be cool. For a new guy getting into the hobby, a 1/14 scale 550 powered 4WD, that's much faster, just as durable, tons of hop ups, is a much better value than a 2wd race buggy.
I myself love this car. I hope to pick one up used and upgraded cheap... When a newer guy finds out how hard a little 2wd brushless buggy is to control after he upgrades it. So I do agree that this is a great car, I just think there are better values out there for bashers and newbs

They are great little cars, just needs the brushless upgrade to wake them up. If you run the dirt tires or have the Mini T version with that motor, it will backflip over itself. Highly suggest running the carpet or street tread tire if you go on the pavement.
When Losi had the Micro T's, when the Front Steering Connectors broke, we would replace them with Zip Ties. Free, Choice of Colors and Helped A Lot with Suspension.
Nice looking, definitely like the yellow color more. Ya gotta run them on other surfaces, and a speed test. Different surfaces challenges your driving skills, maybe Abby can out drive ya on a different surface. Looks like a barn at a fairground. Definitely nice vehicle's. ⚓⚓👍💗👍🌻👍⚓⚓. Just ordered yellow w/ extra batteries.

Kit option with a clear body would be great, they’re a good size for a rainy day race for sure! Do they come setup for a droop?
I was just driving my mini-t 2.0 I made brushless on 3s. I use 800 to 850mah micro race drone lipos in my new mini-t’s, either 2s or 3s. The drone batteries have such a better discharge rating than the new stock mini-t 2.0 batteries. I have an original mini Baja and mini-t too. I hope they remake the micro-t also. I have a micro-t I built back in the day that’s all aluminum and carbon fiber and brushless, it even has the Losi micro aluminum oil filled shocks that are hard to find today.

@@paulclancy2404 In the mini-t 2.0 I run 2430 brushless motors. I like really high kv motors like 8200kv and up. One of them I’m running a Turnigy 9200kv motor and it runs really great on even 2s. For speed runs I’ll throw a 3s in it. Another motor I’ve ran the a lot in the new mini-t’s is a Surpass 2430 8200kv , they are great motors for the money to

Wltoys 144001 actually look stronger then those. They have aluminum shock towers and are much faster. Im pretty hard on mine and never had a break.
Did you see our video on our WLToys one? After one run, we lost our wheel nuts (common problem with that vehicle) and bent our aluminum shock tower. Crazy! And we really like WLToys 😀👍⚓😎

I really wish Losi would release a mini buggy like the mini 8ight again. 2wd is pretty useless where I have available to drive and doing lawn races etc which is what I enjoy. Im glad theyre releasing new mini kits again but PLEASE 4wd and brushess 3s! Great vid guys :)

Quality over quanity , if your mechanical sure. If your todays generation no , the losi will go 50 runs without breaking 25 hrs 1444140 will not

The very best 1/14 scale vehicle that Horizon developed was the Losi Mini 8ight B and Mini 8ight T, both had a solid steel drive shaft making the vehicles 4wd ! Don't understand why Horizon, "Losi", want to divest to 2wd for the new Mini-B and Mini-T 1/16 offerings, when there are so many cheap Chinese 2wd Mini 1/16 Buggies and Truggies on the Market. The Chinese 1/16 Scale 4x4 vehicles, including the popular ZD Racing "Rocket" and SG 1602, really need more 1/16 scale 4x4 competition from other sources like Losi.
Losi entered the mini game with the original Mini-T, which created an entire new interest subset in the RC hobby and set the mini racing world on fire. While the M8s were great vehicles (I own a Mini 8ight buggy and love it) producing the 2wd truck and later the buggy isn't Losi "divesting" but rather returning to their roots. Clearly they have hit the nail on the head as sales of the Mini-T 2.0 have been outstanding, and I expect the Mini-B to do the same. There's also no saying that they won't return to the 4wd game if sales of the current vehicles continue to do well, it just takes time to develop a product and they would never just re-release an old model.
Comparing the Losi products to the "cheap Chinese" products available is like comparing apples to oranges. In terms of design, materials quality, and performance (aside from just running fast in a straight line) the Losi products will practically always outperform any of the "competition". I suggest finding someone with a Mini-T 2.0 brushless truck, drive it around a bit, and then compare it to any other similar Chinese vehicle across the board and you will understand.
@@alajeunesse254 Horizon has this Love affair with reinventing the same old wheel. They need more competition, like they had when Hobbico-Tower Hobbies was alive and well, where redundant product was not ever introduced every year like they do today. As for the new 2wd Mini T 2.0, they are not moving out the door at my two LHS with online services.
Go with LC Racing, they have a better copy of the Mini's an awesome 12 and 10 scale buggy too. High quality parts, slipper clutches, great shocks. Much better quality than what losi is releasing these days. And thats coming from someone who has 3 TLR racing buggies.

The lil' 18th scale R/C 's are ridiculous and silly but can still be a lot of fun although they seem to have died off sense it's not an official racing class anymore. I actually have the 1/18 Team Associated RC18 M/T as well as its biggest brother the Associated 4.6 MGT big block Nitro Monster Truck both with the matching American flag bodies 😇.

Back at Christmas someone purchased 2 of the latest iPhones from an Apple account I didn't even know I had. $2,400+. In 2017 I had purchased the Litchi app for my Mavic Pro. Used the account one time. It was thru iTunes... Long story short, the bank reimbursed me and not sure if said crook was found. Although bills were paid and we had an emergency fund, it still altered finances for the following 2 months. And just felt down right disgusted. Glad my bank finally stepped up... Anyway, from what I hear of eBay you two will prevail... All the best guys ❣️
Sold a drone to a guy, nearly $1,000. He has it for a week, destroys the battery from lack of experience. Currently, ebay took his side to a point where we are out about $80 in shipping, and now have a used "broken" drone instead of a new one. Grrr. Sometimes people just suck. The good will always prevail though!

As you were taking it apart, you said "brushed motor" then at the end of the video you said brushless. I would hope for $150 that it would be brushless, which is it?
So it has brushless option but comes brushed stock. It seems rather expensive for a brushed setup, actually I was thinking $75, half the current price would be more reasonable, but then I'm criminally frugal, also more keen on flying machines.
Tbh bangood options like SG1602 is brushless, fast, can handle crashes and has spare parts as well. It's also about $100 Canadian.
It is brushed....brushless rtr will probably be out soon.

Hey, make sure you check out DRIFTOMANIAC's channel on this. The car is actually a lot faster out of the box than that after a few easy adjustments .
