Jade Arcade not always true show me where you can play Super Mario World on your PC without emulation show me where you can play Gears of War on PC games that are made for console you can't play on PC and a lot of times if you can the PC version is usually broken and needs a lot of fixing and they sometimes never fix it the Nintendo switch seems like a great console and it may be after they fix all the problems but right now it's not worth the price tag no matter if it's only a handful breaking you won't know if yours is going to break if yours does break not telling how long it's going to be before they fix it it's just like every other company out there may take months before they fix it what if it's a hardware issue and they have to bring out a version 2 or what if it's a software problem then it may take weeks before something comes out I'll wait and save my money when all the problems have been fixed one of the biggest problems that's holding me back from buying it is the dock that scratches The screen hopefully they fix that if they do I'm buying if they don't I'm not and I have a Wii U and I have bought all the other consoles at one time

this video is literally just cherryicking. this is maybe 0.01% or even less of all switch consoles on release- small manifacturing mistakes can happen or the device could've even be damaged in shipping. almost all consoles arrived working in perfect conditions, otherwise this wouldve been a far bigger story. this video was mostly just done to scare people

I’ve had my switch sense launch and I remember watching these videos being scared that this would happen to me. I took care of my switch like a baby. I do remember having those joy con strap things for the switch and I put one on the wrong side and it took me forever to get it off.

What an oddly nostalgic video....I bought my switch in 2019 and it came broken it bootlooped over and over and I had Amazon give me a new one in exchange and I have that new one to this day and it never failed me

I once had this really weird glitch with my old Apple iPad mini, I turned it on and it basically had this really really loud screeching noise, it only turned off a little bit afterwards once I reset it.

I'm rather grateful that I have never gotten any new console day one, I usually wait up to 3-4 years before getting my hands on the console.
Lucky for me I got it day one and didn’t ever have a single issue. Crazy looking at this video and knowing they still never resolved stick drift. I traded my launch model for an OLED and both joycons from the launch model had stick drift. Then the new Oled model I got the left stick had stick drift out of the box.

The ironic thing is that my Nintendo Switch that I bought at launch is still working very well. Also, that thing with mixing up which side the black bars go on; It took me a while to find out there was that lock trick to get it off. I wonder if any of these issues ever got fixed over the years.

New edit: I own a switch never have many problems but it does freeze sometimes when i play games, maybe its because of its age because i had it since January of 2018 but i got it as a birthday present.
New edit: The freezing continues, it happens occasionally, not to a point that it is extremely annoying. I read replies that said that its not age, i don’t know why it freezes at such a new age. I might get it sent in to Nintendo.
New edit: I know this is late, but My mom found the switch at a local store and she got for a cheap price, so someone possibly treated the switch horribly im not sure, im just assuming. I tested all games and found that My Switch freezes when I play games that are huge like FoRtNiTe(btw fortnite is garbage), Minecraft, I played that game a lot with my cousins. So I don’t expect it to play smoothly if I play Skyrim tbh. But for the very few people that like being smart asses(I saw like two or three), I said the “People that buy game systems at launch are basically test subjects for the companies” comment trying to joke around.

My mom got my switch a couple weeks after launch, then gave it to me for Christmas when I was young. The thing is still working 7 years later, the only issue with it is stick drift but it runs everything perfectly fine. Never had a single issue
same, had mine since early 2018 and other than joycon drift, it works great. I've even left it on for multiple days before without a single issue.

I owned a launch console until I upgraded to the OLED. I never had a single issue with the tablet, screen scratches due to the dock, or joy con drift.
I did however put the side strap on wrong one time.

Really obvious, this is a plastic screen so it’s gonna “scratch at a level 3 with deeper grooves at level 4” so keys and the dock will even scratch it.

This is why you're not supposed to buy consoles when its launched
The switch had the strangest hardware faults. When i got my switch and played botw for the first time i noticed when i had both controllers connected the screen would literally just go blank after about 30 seconds. Playing with both controllers disconnected from the console was fine though, and putting the console in sleep and waking it would fix the screen.
So my switch is on the way and when I seen this i was so scared then I seen 3 years ago and realized it was the first launch, thank god

Well no, this comes from every single monitor manufacturer in the world, a singular dead pixel isn't a defect, you have nearly 3,000,000 pixels in your screen, sometimes one won't work. It's considered a defect when 6 or more pixels are dead in a cluster. So fact check before you think it's arrogance.

@Limonka90 - No, the difference Limonka is that monitor companies deliberately stress test every single monitor for HOURS before releasing it on the market - if there's a few dead pixels, it is a literal fluke and error that it got passed the screening process. I do not know if Nintendo goes through similar screen stress tests on handhelds and products like this - however, when it's a Mass issue - it is a defect, saying "It has to be 6 or more" is retarded. It is arrogant for them to think a MISTAKE, an ERROR, a product malfunction is anything BUT a defect. if your analog stick is tilted and your character moves 'Slightly left/forward' even while you're not touching the analog stick? Guess what - It's a defect.

I got recommended this cause i got mine on release day and luckily theres no problem with mine. No glitch, screen errors, no sound coming from it, no error for screen touch, and no game card errors so mine was really good and survive till this day I still play with it

My first Nintendo switch unexpectedly stopped turning on or charged, it was a gift from my mom before my parents divorced so it broke my heart to lose that peace of memory that I had from my mom
The reason the joycons feel flimsy on the screen is because you pulled it out while not holding in that little round button at the back of the joycon.
Mine from the way I held it got very loose and I always press the back button while sliding them out
