So Duality to Changkyun was like Smoky for Joohoney... They were both going through some rough times and turned to their music for comfort.
In any case, Changkyun has always been our emo-boy. Only recently - a little more than a year ago - he has started looking genuinely happy. Everyone noticed it, commented on it, and he has also acknowledged it. That he's happier now 😊

Flower-ed is his inspiration for his tattoo on his left arm : a flower is still a flower even when they wilt, its value doesn't change, his existence's like that too.
You could also check out Loop (he has a 20min documentary around this song: Welcome to my baverse) and Nvrmnd (my fav song from him), both have mv !
I love all the songs Monsta X produces, but Changkyun's songs are really special to me 💜✨

For the concert you should also check Loop, Scent and nvrmnd. Scent is from Horizon mixtape and Loop/nvrmnd are singles. Loop he did for "Welcome to my Barverse" documentary and nvrmnd is from a compilation album collab with soulbysel. I doubt he will sing Slowly (ft. Heize) on the world tour, maybe he will sing Horizon instead.

Duality is about that he there are multiple sides to him (just like there is with all of us). so, these songs are all going to be a little different to what your used. he was putting a lot of the different thoughts in his mind at the time of writing these songs.
Changkyun explicó que cuando estuvo haciendo este álbum estaba pasando por un momento demasiado difícil para él. Como el álbum salió en 2021 y durante todo 2020 se le vió muy triste (probablemente por lo que pasó con Wonho) hay teorías de que este álbum explica como se sintió todo ese tiempo. Si te das cuenta Flower-ed habla de una pérdida y todo el álbum hace referencia a situaciones dificiles y depresión, excepto happy to die.
I really love the prose in this album. Changkyun is very insightful about fame and life in general.
Duality, Overdrive, and Off the Beat all sit at the same table but they’re also different vibes. Love his albums because they’re very cohesive
IIRC Changkyun has said about Duality that he doesn't really want to explain the lyrics to any of the songs bc then they can't be interpreted different ways. Like, the whole point of the album was to show different sides and even express things that can be taken differently. Like, God Damn, when you first watch it you focus on the visuals and how it's all sexy, yeah? But the lyrics are totally different. He's portraying duality, if that makes sense

And to your question he worked with Wooki on this album but not Yoonseok I believe. He worked with some other producers/artists (Long Drive, The need iirc) that he works with on solo stuff but I don’t think has for MX. But for all of the albums it’s mostly the same people

Sorry for not leaving comments on other videos, but I'm updating with your video reactions, hehe... but I've been very busy these months with the university :( I'm glad you're finally starting to listen to Changkyun, and yes, this album is very sad for not achieving the goals he had in mind at that time, but with those who come he is recovering his characteristic duality and above all his happiness. This was a hard time for him, but now it's happier doing what he always wanted to be, a soloist. He loves his friends in Monsta X and participating with the group, they're practically a family, but when he joined Sony he said that if he didn't make that jump in his career, there wouldn't be another chance, and he was absolutely right. Also, all songs are a diary of his life, or how he feels at each stage, that makes him so sincere with his music... Anyway, I hope to see your reactions to that brain machine that Changkyun feels when making music (Overdrive), and the beautiful album that conveys his love for jazz and bossa nova (Off The Beat!!!) :D thanks for the video reactions, as always!!!😘😘😘

Like you I’m going to see him live but in July in the U.K. and honestly I can’t wait. Been checking out all his solo stuff this month myself but nice to join you as well . And I just love all the tracks on this EP

So if I remember right this album was only digital I don’t think there was a physical album of it. Not that I know of.
It's available on Vinyl, although harder to come by. I got mine on ebay!
