      Covering up anyone's truth is wrong. People should be able to here your opinion or truth and then decide what they believe.

      It's a shame it has been brought to ruin in the first place! It was used until mid-1970 and was ruined during 1980-s and 90-s, when it was abandoned.

    I am a middle-class American living comfortably in a quiet Midwestern community, yet I could definitely see myself living in this Russian community. Some things seem nicer where I live, but some things look nicer there. With everything taken into consideration, it's the people that make a community what it is. Good people make for pleasant living, no matter where they are.

    No wonder Russians on holiday overseas are happy to return home, Russia looks so different and exciting. Compare it to Manchester where the largest pop music venue in UK has delayed its opening concert umpteen times because they couldn't find a decent modern pop group, by modern I mean any music played after I lost my youth.

      @RealFranzy - I am glad that Sam said “keys”.
      i just worked out that the old Scottish slang term for toilet - ‘cludgy’ - is from the word for key.
      Cluj ключ klyuch etc, from when there was outside toilets. Tenement buildings, one takes the key to lock.
      When Sam mentioned “hot keys” at 27:00 then i realised.

    Another great video, Sam. I really liked the dark-haired young woman who demanded 1,000 roubles for you to enter the gate. I enjoy that kind of smartass humor, and she's very cute as well.
    You mentioned Natasha's unfair filming of that street in Vladimir. I started watching her when she was still in the Vladivostok area. She seemed a bit depressive to me, but I was interested in hearing a more negative take on Russia as a way of balancing Sergey Baklykov, Eli, and Slava at RussianPlus, but IMO she never had anything informative to say, and when she got to Georgia and fell for every piece of Western mainstream propaganda, I lost interest.

    • @SamsRussianAdventures
      @SamsRussianAdventures  Před 2 měsíci +2

      Hi mate! The black hair girl was the producer. She’s really cool, she made filming feel less stressful. Natasha slowly slipped into more negative content. I actually made a video counteracting her video in Vladimir. I showed the reality and her fans refused to acknowledge anything I showed in my video and said I was propaganda.
      I later found out that she made a copy of a video made by a local who pointed out the locations of poor areas of the town! I wrote to her to ask why she visited the town with the intent of simply recreating a video about the negative aspects of the town!

    • @steved1387
      @steved1387 Před 2 měsíci

      @@SamsRussianAdventures Thank you for the extra background info on that cute producer as well as Natasha.
      I have no issues with people offering solid criticism of their country or their government. Every country and every government has its good and bad points. For example, here in the USA, we have a CZcamsr named Nick Johnson who specializes in visiting seedier and more depressed areas, but he does it in an honest way, trying to tell a bigger story than just the negative. Still, his video about Jackson, Mississippi makes you wonder how such a place can exist in America, how our government can allow this to happen. There are many other examples; we have a lot of problems in the USA but I still love my country. The important thing to me is that the CZcamsr is honest, and doesn't lie.
      You did a grest video about Russian CZcamsrs who lie about their country in order to get views and money from Russia-hating Westerners. Hate-porn. I'm sure you're familiar with the notorious Inside Russia. He went from positive to negative content overnight. I knew he was lying when he did a video about empty shopping malls, devastated by sanctions. Not only had I already seen videos by A Different Russia, Eli and Svetlana which showed how the sanctions had a minimal effect over time, but I used to live across the street from Northgate Mall in Seattle -- now known as Northgate Station -- the first postwar mall in America, built in 1950. So I already knew that on an average weekday during working hours, the mall was all but deserted. Then Sergey Baklykov did a video showing the wonderful mall in St. Petersburg empty during working hours, but packed to the gills in the evening and on weekends.
      Bottom line, if a CZcamsr lies to me, I have no use for them. Honest criticism, yes, lies because you hate your country, no. I wouldn't have known about Natasha's lies if not for you, so thanks, mate! And lastly, it's a shame that Natasha's fans called **you** a liar and a propagandist, instead of her. None so blind as they who will not see.

    She makes very nice window display : ) I think most people do not realize life is slower there. Everything is not go go go. If you want to go out for lunch you sit down and wait for the food to be cooked. Most westerners are use to instant gratification for everything and get bored easily without constant changing stimulation. I read somewhere that the average attention span of western people is one second above a goldfish, goldfish 8, person 9. It use to be about a half hour before they lost interest but just bubbles now.
    I think that is why so many young people want to leave these places, they are young and want to go, see, explore like young people do. Eventually you realize there's no place like home, in all it's boredom : ) Unfortunately in western nations now they do not feel like home anymore, more like asylums.

      It is allowed to import dogs and cats transported for personal use in an amount of no more than two animals without permission from Rosselkhoznadzor and prior quarantine, but with the issuance of an international veterinary passport.
      According to the legislation of the EAEU, animals must have the following vaccinations:
      dogs - against canine distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus infections and adenovirus infections, leptospirosis (unless they were treated prophylactically with dehydrostreptomycin or a substance registered in the exporting country that gives an equivalent effect);
      for cats - against panleukopenia;
      When do you need permission from Rosselkhoznadzor?
      Permission from Rosselkhoznadzor will be required:
      if you plan to import more than two dogs or cats into Russia;
      if dogs and cats are imported unaccompanied by the owner.
      Animals must be imported through checkpoints where veterinary control is carried out. The list of such points, as well as their operating modes, can be found

Showing both sides of the coin, unlike the person you said would only show one side of the street. One reason I don't like the us and them channel is because they do takes until they get it they way they want you to see it. So it seems staged, not genuine. I go to youtube and try to find the everyday people like your channel. So keep the videos coming. In severe frosts, a fur coat or sheepskin coat is best. Nowadays this is considered not very fashionable, although if they are beautiful, they wear it.
      Previously, during the frost season -30-40 degrees, people wore felt boots, these are shoes made of very tightly rolled sheep wool, it is believed that they are the warmest for frosts. Now severe frosts are not so often, so they use warm boots.

      @paulparoma - You got 2 tautologies, a logical fallacy, and an oxymoron all in the one post.
      The tautology and the oxymoron hurt my head. Then it unhurt by you being inherently wrong.
      (the syntactic structures are askew, and Hegelian dialectics are moot - besides Georg Hegel is dead)
      Axiomatically inaccurate - your assertion & claims are impossible.
      In fact there are 2 oxymorons.

    Hopefully they will restore this amazing historic place soon, to it's original condition. I can only imagine what it looked like once back in the day. It's really heart breaking to see it like this,and nothing is being done about it! I know that it would probably take 1 billion rubles to make it happen,and it's always money issues. And even if they collected it, there is always a chance that someone would steal it. Just like they stole the money that was to be used to renovate the university in Vladimir that Milena goes to! Sad! Thanks Sam!👍❤

      These places because the once belonged to Russias land owners prior to the revolution, were used mainly as storage or hospitals. But as they deteriorated, they then simply became abandoned. They are slowly being restored. This place is now a museum and you must pay to enter. The majority of reconstruction goes on all the old churches which suffered the same fate during the Soviet era.
