Covering up anyone's truth is wrong. People should be able to here your opinion or truth and then decide what they believe.
Masha the presenter is very beautiful.
Yes! She’s quite famous too! When we were filming we attracted a huge crowd
@@SamsRussianAdventures She’s incredible!
Suzdal is just magnificent. Sam, just wanted to let you know that Suzdal is celebrating 1000 years old this year and in summer (especially in august) there will be arranged a bunch of things devoted to this milestone.
You are a good Man Sam… little older experience Man… you can educate people… that’s good…. Keep up the great work Brother
Thanks mate! Appreciate you.
The estate you visited should restored. It would be a beautiful museum.
100% let’s hope it will be done. Ten years ago it was possible to just walk around inside and was full of graffiti, beer bottles and needles. Now it’s a museum with a paid entrance.
It's a shame it has been brought to ruin in the first place! It was used until mid-1970 and was ruined during 1980-s and 90-s, when it was abandoned.
I am a middle-class American living comfortably in a quiet Midwestern community, yet I could definitely see myself living in this Russian community. Some things seem nicer where I live, but some things look nicer there. With everything taken into consideration, it's the people that make a community what it is. Good people make for pleasant living, no matter where they are.
100% agree 👍 Thank you 🙏
Excellent video Sam! You were so brave to have that icy bath! You are an English Viking!! There is still plenty of snow there! I love your videos. They are so loving and the way you introduce these nice places and nice people is really fantastic! Great video footage! Chapeau! Thank you very much ❤
I always quite like the snippets of Russian disco-pop you have on in the car.
Haha it’s from a station called radio dacha
Thank you for sharing your adventures in Russia with us. From a lady who lives in Scotland 🏴
I bet that castle and whole area was really pretty back when brand new!
So much to see and photograph. So many friendly people.
Yes! 👍
Yes Yes Yes Sam, Banging Vid !!!! Привет из Кейптауна, Южная Африка!
Thanks for showing all these interesting buildings.
Glad you like them!
I really enjoyed that, Sam. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Thanks mate. Glad you liked it
Wonderful stuff Sam. Your Russian friends are so friendly and beautiful, it is a pleasure to meet them.
They are! Thank you 🙏
👏👏👏👏👏😍 with the perfect ending: Home, Sweet Home ❤
Nice rural village
I cant believe you went into that icy water. I couldnt for any money in the world.😂
Haha!!! You can!!!! It’s a quick chill and then it’s all over!!!!

I enjoyed the tour. Thanks!
I like them low key vide small town. It has a lot of charms and plenty things to do outside with nature
Yes! Russians live a very outdoorsy lifestyle
Again with a worthwhile video. I hope the exposure you get from filming with the "pro" group gets you more views and subs. I am getting to feel almost part of the neighborhood in Vladimir (sp?) I hope you do something on the 9th of May Russian Celebration. 🧨🎆🎇✨🎖
Thanks. I’ll try and do something but I’ve heard there won’t be much celebrating this year because they are preventing large gatherings
No wonder Russians on holiday overseas are happy to return home, Russia looks so different and exciting. Compare it to Manchester where the largest pop music venue in UK has delayed its opening concert umpteen times because they couldn't find a decent modern pop group, by modern I mean any music played after I lost my youth.
Then again, I guess Crocus City Hall has had to cancel a few events recently.
The custom to take a cool bath into the icy water is hilarious. Russians are tough to live in heavy winter time. Thanks Sam for sharing.
Yes! I agree! My friends do it 3 times a week!!!
It is little Viking blood in you as well.. good.. this is what we doing in Sweden 🇸🇪 and Finland 🇫🇮 winter time.. Sauna and ice bath
Yes! I think we are all very similar!!!!
Really great video....have a good weekend.
Thank you! You too!
The man the myth the walking legend himself... Good ol' Sam! Another good vid. Can't wait to watch the episode on that channel "we and them" I know of now thanks to you. CHEERS! ❤🇷🇺💪
Hahaha thank you 🙏
Hope you will enjoy it!
Nice video Sam..keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
Great video Sam! Such a beautiful place.
Thanks a ton!
You're welcome.@@SamsRussianAdventures
Спасибо для ролик. Очень приятно было.
As always Sam, that was very interesting and enlightening. Speaking personally, I'd have given the ice water dips a miss 😱.. 😅.. I recon the indigenous Russian population must have anti-freeze in their blood. Please send the formula as here we are on April 27th in the UK and it's still below 10 Celsius with a wind chill taking it below 5 degrees.
Excellent video Sam! Looking forward to future videos!
Thanks mate
You're very welcome!
Keys in Russian means not only an object that opens locks, but also water making its way out of the ground (a spring). Just like in English, Spring is not only spring (season)). Therefore, the place of Hot Springs means - The Hot springs
Thanks! Sorry for the mistake. I always thought it was a strange name!!!!
See U soon ! I'm just near ... 🤗!
Thank you wish I was younger I am a pensioner in UK if I went to Russia my gov would sanctions me 😊
Really? How would they do it?
Sam jumping in the ice water hole is the funniest thing. The look on your face is priceless 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dude your channels are amazing man, thanks for the chat yesterday regarding moving funds to Russia, I will await that video and I have subscribed. You speak excellent Russian too!
Действительно, у богатых людей России и раньше были эти огромные особняки. Но, по крайней мере, они построили их в России, а не возили деньги в Дубай или на побережье Средиземного моря. По всему видно, что нефтяные деньги и здесь, во Владимире, не остановились...
What an impressive castle. I thought it was funny watching the other people film their footage. I'm sure you look just as silly, but at least we see from the other side. Glad to see you take the ice plunge! Showing your house to a prospective new wife?
Haha if my future wife is watching the video!!!
"Land and sea" by Vilis Lacis, writer from Soviet Latvia in street library ! From the times when countries were united. Blast from the past !
Fantastic variant Sam
Watched the "professional" Vlog too - they do a great job and she is brilliant
Well done - cannot wait to see some summer Vlogs from you round Vladimir
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. I have some interesting videos planned.
You helped them a lot. I'll check em out
I think they helped me!!!!
Always entertaining!
I love small towns in Russia, on weekends I visit them sometimes😏
Small towns are so relaxing
Looks like a fun filled day. Thanks for sharing.
It was! Thanks for watching.
Hi Sam brilliant blog , and yes when I have enough money I would like to move to Russia 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi, Sam. You encounter kind, yet stunning, women almost daily, take in beautiful landscapes, hear interesting Soviet stories from cool babushkas occasionally, and eat blinis whenever you like. This is a good life.
Haha it sounds like paradise!
I ❤ to see your video. Russian daily lifestyle. Street art, suburban style. Unique perspective and you have alot of friends everywere you go 😂
Thanks. I try to speak with people everywhere!
Я русский и вообще не купаюсь в проруби зимой! 🤣🤣🤣

What do you work at??&nice to see u more up beat .Fellow Brit.
Thanks mate. I create content for my channel and help produce a few others.
I like both sides of the street in Vladimir. Authenticity, a bit of fixer uppers, but this doesn't bother me too much.
Me too!!!! Thanks mate!
I'll never see snow the same way
Hahaha 🤣
I'm confused, why is there snow and ice on this video and other Russian youtubers video shows spring and no snow. Is this current video or is it not current ?
Hi, I filmed this at the beginning of March. I was waiting for the video that they filmed with me to be uploaded to their channel.
Please give us the link when the video goes out!
It’s already been published. Just click on the title of my video
@@SamsRussianAdventures I just watched it, great video! And you rocked, Sam 😍
I live in the USA in the state of Michigan and we have e those street libraries all over also. Put up by different people in front of their houses usually. They usually have kids books of all ages.
Oh wow! That’s a great idea! 💡
Not "hot keys", but "hot springs" :)
Thanks 🙏
@RealFranzy - I am glad that Sam said “keys”.
i just worked out that the old Scottish slang term for toilet - ‘cludgy’ - is from the word for key.
Cluj ключ klyuch etc, from when there was outside toilets. Tenement buildings, one takes the key to lock.
When Sam mentioned “hot keys” at 27:00 then i realised.
(Thousands of German words in Scots as well as Russian words and terms. ‘Brats’ - ‘children’. etc)
8:26 The guy on the right haha
Another great video, Sam. I really liked the dark-haired young woman who demanded 1,000 roubles for you to enter the gate. I enjoy that kind of smartass humor, and she's very cute as well.
You mentioned Natasha's unfair filming of that street in Vladimir. I started watching her when she was still in the Vladivostok area. She seemed a bit depressive to me, but I was interested in hearing a more negative take on Russia as a way of balancing Sergey Baklykov, Eli, and Slava at RussianPlus, but IMO she never had anything informative to say, and when she got to Georgia and fell for every piece of Western mainstream propaganda, I lost interest.
Hi mate! The black hair girl was the producer. She’s really cool, she made filming feel less stressful. Natasha slowly slipped into more negative content. I actually made a video counteracting her video in Vladimir. I showed the reality and her fans refused to acknowledge anything I showed in my video and said I was propaganda.
I later found out that she made a copy of a video made by a local who pointed out the locations of poor areas of the town! I wrote to her to ask why she visited the town with the intent of simply recreating a video about the negative aspects of the town!
@@SamsRussianAdventures Thank you for the extra background info on that cute producer as well as Natasha.
I have no issues with people offering solid criticism of their country or their government. Every country and every government has its good and bad points. For example, here in the USA, we have a CZcamsr named Nick Johnson who specializes in visiting seedier and more depressed areas, but he does it in an honest way, trying to tell a bigger story than just the negative. Still, his video about Jackson, Mississippi makes you wonder how such a place can exist in America, how our government can allow this to happen. There are many other examples; we have a lot of problems in the USA but I still love my country. The important thing to me is that the CZcamsr is honest, and doesn't lie.
You did a grest video about Russian CZcamsrs who lie about their country in order to get views and money from Russia-hating Westerners. Hate-porn. I'm sure you're familiar with the notorious Inside Russia. He went from positive to negative content overnight. I knew he was lying when he did a video about empty shopping malls, devastated by sanctions. Not only had I already seen videos by A Different Russia, Eli and Svetlana which showed how the sanctions had a minimal effect over time, but I used to live across the street from Northgate Mall in Seattle -- now known as Northgate Station -- the first postwar mall in America, built in 1950. So I already knew that on an average weekday during working hours, the mall was all but deserted. Then Sergey Baklykov did a video showing the wonderful mall in St. Petersburg empty during working hours, but packed to the gills in the evening and on weekends.
Bottom line, if a CZcamsr lies to me, I have no use for them. Honest criticism, yes, lies because you hate your country, no. I wouldn't have known about Natasha's lies if not for you, so thanks, mate! And lastly, it's a shame that Natasha's fans called **you** a liar and a propagandist, instead of her. None so blind as they who will not see.
She makes very nice window display : ) I think most people do not realize life is slower there. Everything is not go go go. If you want to go out for lunch you sit down and wait for the food to be cooked. Most westerners are use to instant gratification for everything and get bored easily without constant changing stimulation. I read somewhere that the average attention span of western people is one second above a goldfish, goldfish 8, person 9. It use to be about a half hour before they lost interest but just bubbles now.
I think that is why so many young people want to leave these places, they are young and want to go, see, explore like young people do. Eventually you realize there's no place like home, in all it's boredom : ) Unfortunately in western nations now they do not feel like home anymore, more like asylums.
Thanks for your feedback. So many people wrote similar comments you your one (about the changing of western society, not goldfish!)
It’s a shame that things have changed so much.

Hi Sam
A very interesting topic would be Russian TV. Especially Talk Shows, asked you before to do this as I find the Talking Heads on the shows UNBELIEVABLE. I would like to know what regular Russian think of these people and their points of view.
looks nice. Question, say i wanna move to russia, to live, can i take my pets with me, ive got 3 cats and 1 dog
It is allowed to import dogs and cats transported for personal use in an amount of no more than two animals without permission from Rosselkhoznadzor and prior quarantine, but with the issuance of an international veterinary passport.
According to the legislation of the EAEU, animals must have the following vaccinations:
dogs - against canine distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus infections and adenovirus infections, leptospirosis (unless they were treated prophylactically with dehydrostreptomycin or a substance registered in the exporting country that gives an equivalent effect);
for cats - against panleukopenia;
When do you need permission from Rosselkhoznadzor?
Permission from Rosselkhoznadzor will be required:
if you plan to import more than two dogs or cats into Russia;
if dogs and cats are imported unaccompanied by the owner.
Animals must be imported through checkpoints where veterinary control is carried out. The list of such points, as well as their operating modes, can be found
thnx for the info
I think your channel is better than the other channel us and them because you seem to keep it real. Showing both sides of the coin, unlike the person you said would only show one side of the street. One reason I don't like the us and them channel is because they do takes until they get it they way they want you to see it. So it seems staged, not genuine. I go to youtube and try to find the everyday people like your channel. So keep the videos coming. I enjoy seeing the pieces of Russia from a guy just walking down a road like we are just taking a stroll.
Their channel is more professional as it’s also shown on tv. Yes, I think a man with a camera is more raw and real.
Love this !!
Thanks mate

Russia is pretty much just like Norway, just larger scale and less ocean.
Yes! We have the same climate
Россию омывают три океана: на севере - Северный Ледовитый, на западе - Атлантический, на востоке - Тихий.
Россию омывает 15 морей.
Russia is washed by 15 seas and 3 oceans
Yes, but due to the sheer size of Russia, you can't see the sea from most places. I would love to live in Russia, at least would be nice to have a house there for vacations. So much space there.
So they have two types of coats for winter - depending on how cold it is?
A raincoat vs a thicker insulated coat!
In severe frosts, a fur coat or sheepskin coat is best. Nowadays this is considered not very fashionable, although if they are beautiful, they wear it.
Previously, during the frost season -30-40 degrees, people wore felt boots, these are shoes made of very tightly rolled sheep wool, it is believed that they are the warmest for frosts. Now severe frosts are not so often, so they use warm boots.

Russian streets are clean, but perpetually dirty. The cars are just perpetually dirty.:)
@paulparoma - You got 2 tautologies, a logical fallacy, and an oxymoron all in the one post.
The tautology and the oxymoron hurt my head. Then it unhurt by you being inherently wrong.
(the syntactic structures are askew, and Hegelian dialectics are moot - besides Georg Hegel is dead)
Axiomatically inaccurate - your assertion & claims are impossible.
In fact there are 2 oxymorons.
Now i am unsure if you hurt my head or i did. I think i’m confused but i’m not sure.

Hopefully they will restore this amazing historic place soon, to it's original condition. I can only imagine what it looked like once back in the day. It's really heart breaking to see it like this, and nothing is being done about it! I know that it would probably take 1 billion rubles to make it happen, and it's always money issues. And even if they collected it, there is always a chance that someone would steal it. Just like they stole the money that was to be used to renovate the university in Vladimir that Milena goes to! Sad! Thanks Sam!👍❤
The face above it had to be Rasputin, I bet!
These places because the once belonged to Russias land owners prior to the revolution, were used mainly as storage or hospitals. But as they deteriorated, they then simply became abandoned. They are slowly being restored. This place is now a museum and you must pay to enter. The majority of reconstruction goes on all the old churches which suffered the same fate during the Soviet era.
I get the impression that the Russians are very much "one" with the climate.. They actually seem to enjoy the harshness of weather in Russia.. Probably for the best.. If you can't beat it, embrace it!
South Russia is not bad. Subtropical climate
Definitely! We have bbqs in winter!!!!!
кто долго живет на Севере плохо переносит жару.Сосуды привыкают к прохладному климату.
Yes but I wouldn't say it's harsh. Th climate in central Russia is like in Scandinavia or Canada but you probably don't consider it to be harsh there
