  • The first cohort for the Asian Network Radio Production Development Scheme (RPDS) has recently wrapped up. The trainees have successfully completed their training and are now at an Assistant Producer and Producer level, as part of the BBC Across the UK (ATUK) plan.
Gurdev Potiwal, Major Takhar, Preeti Kular, Tanya Katoch and Vivek Sahota completed the RPDS scheme which ran for 4 months across September - December 2022 and have captured their achievements whilst on placement at Asian Network in this video.
The RPD Scheme is dedicated to finding those with the right specialist knowledge, and develop their technical skills in the audio sector. It is a paid placement and consists of BBC Academy training, followed by a placement with a production company based within the Midlands. The next Scheme will run for Asian Network this September 2023, with applications opening in May 2023.
