For one he is so much taller then you think he is and he is a super awesome and super nice guy I got to tell him how his music has saved my life more times then I can count and he asked if he could give me a hug cuz he was so happy is music helped so much.

One thing I REALLY like about this song is how the instruments, though powerful, are slightly muted and Jake's vocals take centre stage. After barely escaping from an abusive relationship with my sanity intact, I felt like this for quite some time, until a old friend saved me from it just a week ago. I’ve been here since the release of Stronger Than My Storm, and I don’t regret it. You guys saved my life more times than I can count. I found you guys at my worst, and thanks to you, I finally got on antidepressants. I don’t know how I managed to survive, but after 5 years of self harming, 12 suicide attempts, and countless mental breakdowns, I managed to get out of that hell. There’s still days that I can’t get out of bed, still nights when I want to end it all, but I’m finally recovering. Thank you for saving my life.
Been here since 3/11/23 (March 11). I don’t regret it at all :)

When the monsters in my head keep screaming at me telling me I'm worthless, I'm a burden so just do everyone a favour and end it. When every breath is a struggle and every heartbeat hurts. How f**king divorced from reality does he have to be to not realise how detrimental depression can be and how dark that hole can be. The sooner these cretins are out of power, the better.

You just know when to release the songs...You know the words to say. My thoughts have been growing darker again because of my daily seizures, brain slowly rotting and a doctor who I feel is giving up on me. Never had a job or any "normal" experience like others. Maybe 10 seizures at most while I'm awake and more while I'm asleep. Never had a job because no one wants ti give me a chance. Citizen Soldier as a whole just knows what to do to make myself feel better. Reminding me I'm not alone in this war. I can cry out those negative tears and smile. Continue what you're doing, Jake. All of you.

For the last 20+ years I have hit rock bottom several times, every time I recover stronger the next hit is worse and so on, I just wish that this was over, I grasp whatever sliver of hope I can get just to continue, but I get tired, I can't sleep without meds, I'm overstressed, every day is having part of my mind trying to keep hold of my worst thoughts while at work, having to keep a mask that I barely let go while outside of my bedroom, suicidal thoughts hunt me every day, just so the pain and the torture my mind feels end, I just want peace, I just want to rest and I just want my hyperactive mind to stop overthinking just so I could breath.
Thank you CS, you have given us a voice to show the world what we are going through the feelings,the loneliness, the fight, you are a safe place for how we feel. May you be blessed for ever.

I needed to add something to the part which making the depressed feels he/she is not alone, along with making them see that there's someone who feels the same, there's also *a need to encourage them to change the negative view of things* , and that's what's missing in the song and some others I have heard.
Making a recovering view lyrics from the start to the end is different than describing an ugly feeling from the view of the depressed at the the start, then finishing it with the recovering view you want them to adopt. In this song's case, it is describing from the depressed view without the recovering finish. *Adding a brighter point of view ending is necessary.*
It is so hard to picture what a person who's on the edge because of the toxic thoughts would do after listening to this song, the thoughts will stuck in deeper, and God forbid... they might commit it😖.
What if in every work you do that describes feelings like these, have a change of view from the Bridge part till the end of the song? Just like your song *Would Anyone Care *, Imagine what would the same depressed person would feel like after it? Will he/she suffer more from the thoughts, or will they remember what you said about recovering and feel the need to work on it because they have set a reminder tells them they *can* live a better life?
I remember how I teared up with a feeling of relief after hearing *Reason To Live, Victim or Survivor, Save Your Story, Face To Face, Stronger Than My Storm, Still Breathing, and specially Would Anyone Care.* These ironically response to this song.
Words strongly affect the listener, by describing the pain, it adds more to remembering it, and leaving it this way, makes it easier to throwing one's life away, but in the case of Would Anyone Care, when remembering the pain, makes you feel someone else understands what you can't let it out of your chest, *then tells you you can't be replaced, you were meant to live and this world needs you, because there's a benevolent change you are meant to make, and leave a mark of goodness , that's why you are meant to exist, to live, and as long as you are here, there's always a reason, a way to take back your life and be better, Always,* then leaves you with this reminder, the person will feel better and this reminder will crush every ugly negative thought that comes and be replaced with *a relief.💆🏻♀️*
