I completely agree! In my school, I'm the only one who doesn't drink or go partying. And I often get asked, "why do you work all the time?" And I just reply "because I want to work hard and do well in life". It's funny what some people consider "normal" haha! Loved this week in my life :)
Oh, and for the end of the video: Last week was so amazing! School is going super well and I'm enjoying all my classes. There's a new young adult group at our church which has been amazing too! I love hanging out with other Christians my own age:)

Michelle, I totally feel you on feeling "weird" or different from other college students. I don't really go out and party either and I feel lame sometimes but I too feel like it isn't necessary because I'm working for my dream and something bigger than myself.

It's so nice to see what you cook in your week in the life because that's going to be me next year when I am not living in my sorority house and I am on my own :) I really like your talk about working hard and not partying. At 5:06...I literally feel the SAME way. Why do we feel like this? (Maybe make a video on it??) I am happy with the way I’m living my college life and I just wish it was more accepting to NOT party and hang out with huge groups of people. I love that I’m working hard in school and in my job..I’m enjoying my time with my small amount of friends doing things that I love to do. I respect that you’re this type of CZcamsr 💓

Steph2Style I agree! I think it's so disrespectful when people show up in sweatpants or pyjamas - the lecturer's dressed properly, so you should be too!
PREACH 🙌🏼🙌🏼 I recently started my freshman year of college and there is SOO much pressure to go out and get wasted Friday night to “let go” of the stress from the week. But I never partied in high school and I don’t understand why people feel the need to not feel like themselves in order to unwind. In my mind it’s much easier, cheaper, and healthier to go out to eat with friends, all watch a movie, etc. it’s just so hard when I’m literally the only one around me with this viewpoint but thanks for backing up my idea that going out and getting drunk to the point where you can’t even control your actions is just childish and stupid!
Loved that you shared a bit about your diet too. I've been a vegetarian for years and started eating fish last year when I was pregnant and noticed my body responded really well. I love that you're listening to your body's needs and adjusting accordingly!
I hardly ever comment on videos, the last time may have been years ago. Anyways, even though we are the same age I feel as though you are a really great role model. You are so genuine and kind it's almost unimaginable and on top of that you just seem as though you have it all going for you and you worked for it, all of it. Every time I see you post a video my day is genuinely better. I wish you all the best of luck with CZcams, college, and whatever you pursue because I know that you will kill it. I'm completely with you! I have absolutely no interest in parties, and sometimes I feel weird for that, but I would much rather spend most of my day working hard on my studies and then relaxing by watching youtube or talking to a few close friends. I love that you talk about that stuff, since in college it can feel very isolating if you are more school or career focused than focused on socializing in large groups or partying. Loved this vlog and can't wait for more content!

YAAAAAAS!!! Thank you for saying that! Being an introvert in a city where there is so much going on all the time can be so overwhelming. New York is an amazing place but sometimes it can feel so overbearing. I'm applying to college this year, and I'm definitely looking at schools out of state.

I totally agree with what you said about working for something greater than yourself, it's one of the reasons I enjoy coming home from school and getting work done, I feel so accomplished afterwards!

Michelle, you are so cute! I'm a little amazed at how nicely you present yourself on a day-to-day basis. Some thoughts: I really loved your hair throughout this whole video -- with the blowout and no blowout. It looks a little different than before? It could just be me. I also really appreciate your editing in these new videos, I think your vlogging style is evolving and it's pretty cool to watch! Watching you as a senior just gives me so much hope for college.
I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to school and hard work. All my friends go out to parties and stuff all the time and I'm usually stuck up in my dorm working on school. But at the end of the day, I don't totally mind because my grades reflect my work and it makes me satisfied with what I'm doing

We got a terrible earthquake in Mexico so I helped out in shelters with all the neccesities food, water, clothes, medicines we are still a week later without school and I just want to get back to do normal things even where we will still help cause they are people that lost everything. xo

I mean I personally do agree on your thoughts about working hard in university. In my country I don't luckly have to pay for university but I know that it's very expensive in the US so going to college there just to party seems really pointless. Like you pay so much so you should work hard as well especially if your parents pay it, for me it would be insensitive and disrespectful to throw away the money on partying. So Michelle, who is like me, lets work hard!

I've always wondered, isn't it annoying as a college student to have to wear "business casual" clothes everyday? I believe sometimes when you're juste going to class and sit down for hours listening to a teacher, all you want to wear is sweatpants
