Just wanted to do something on this game - this scene seems to be a perfect indicator for how bizarrely awesome this game is! I'll give you three guesses as to the boss's weak point!
Ulmeyda used his blood to cure the people in his town of various diseases, as just about everything he had come in contact with, he had become immune of somehow. That's why they know what his blood tastes like. He tried it with the Heaven Smile, and things obviously didn't go so well :P
he became immune because he had a very well working nervous system if you want to know more about that watch kurgezat’s (or however you spell it) video on the immune system basically the memory cells were prepared for the disease because the cells took some samples of whatever disease Ulmeyda injected himself with and if the cells come across the disease again they can destroy with disEASE
@@redxavier8770 He was grooming Clemence to take over for him to help others, as Andre knows the US government is out to get him. It’s also implied that Clemence turned over the high speed car, still stained with Andre’s blood, over to Emir at some point before the epilogue chapter of the game. He was grateful to him for not letting Ulmeyda fall into the hands of the government and wanted to repay the kindness of putting Ulmeyda out of his misery once he became a Heaven’s Smile.
Honestly, I think killing him in one hit is sufficient enough. You're thrown into this boss battle without being told anything so you'll probably die a few times before finding out his weakness is behind him. It just looks easy here because the player knows what's going on.
Not to mention it wouldn't make much of a difference if you had to shoot him a few more times, and most of the bosses die in one hit anyways. That said it was disorienting and stressful as hell to actually play for the first time, with the music and extremely tight camera.
@@SprDrumio64 Nice! Some replays, I end up nailing the weak point in one hit. Other times, It flails around so much that I end up missing an opportunity to kill him.
@@Reapermaskhybrid You're not wrong, I just never watched or grow up with that show so it escapes me Still means he has atleast 3 roles defining how good his VO work is, which is impressive.
I think one of the things that makes him hard is that if you're not wearing a certain ring that increases your defense, you'll die instantly by his attacks. Which was supposed to make this boss very scary.
@@frds_skce my process was: I first tried to shoot him, but it had no effect. So my next idea was to try to approach him from behind. And that worked, haha. The boss where you had to shoot the tie was a lot more difficult for me to figure out.
When I first heard how Andrew made his fortune with a company that just ran ads was dumb and could never work in the real world but in the last few years I actually think it's possible. Many people watch the super-bowl just for the commercials and if the name brand was popular enough than people would think only the best products would be advertised and so companies would pay top dollar to get in.
@@WisteriaNerium The game never says that. The reason why the army goes after Andrei is because he has the Yakumo, a power/knowledge that enables the wielder to create the perfect government.
@@WisteriaNerium Yes, because the military is so well known for their honesty. I like this game and so I appreciate how it spoon feeds me the story among a jumble of craziness so it is tough to pick up a proper viewing.

I stumbled upon this video when I was a kid, and was understandably weirded out. Then the fight started and was terrified. This lived rent-free in my mind for years, then I played the game on Steam and fell in love with this whole level
With a stroke of bullshit luck I managed to kill this guy in a minute, literally did not know how I managed to get behind him but that afro was just floating there begging for me to shoot it, so I did and that's how this boss fight wasn't super frustrating for me.

Thinking about it we encounter more people in InterCity than anywhere else because all of the citizens are immune to the Smile disease thanks to Ulmeyda creating vaccines from his blood.
@@TakoTrucker Yeah he doesn't I didn't say he did, but the people of the city gain immunity to smile thanks to his Blood. That's the whole point of his son coming out and tasting his blood without melting. He and the other residents are immune.
@@pinkstarmona1695 i assume that after the fight all of the smily stuff in his blood got removed (or his cult members are built different idk this game is weird)

I gotta say, I even at my age now, since I got the game just a few weeks back, I kept thinking Clemence, was going to die, and kept turning away. But during the boss battle, on my first try I died running around randomly, I knew what to do, just not how to do it. But the second time, I lucked out and found his afro in honestly, just like 2-8 seconds, can't remember vividly.
Ulmeyda would have his followers ingest his blood at regular intervals in order to inoculate them against the viruses he had developed resistances to in the hopes of stopping the Heaven’s Smile transformation. However it was the one thing Ulmeyda couldn’t protect himself against, and he knew it while the US government did not, leading to the events seen in the video.
I was considering watching a playthrough of Killer 7 instead of playing it, I've already started it a couple times but didn't get used enough to the flow of the game. But this is surreal as fuck, I think I'll make sure to experience it first hand
Ok I gotta Know. Is it his veins that are holding the Afro or his blood? The cutscene makes it look like his blood is sentient and started controlling him but in game they look more like Veins...
9:04 as someone who did not play this game yet i have many questions ESPECIALLY how do YOU know what his blood tastes like and can destinguish it between other's blood!?
Ok so to sum it up real quick Andrei basically discovered he had the greatest immune system known to humanity on accident. He began to intentionally infect himself with different viruses and diseases to create vaccines out of his blood. He then gave his vaccines to those who were brave enough to follow him. That’s why Clarence recognised the taste of Andrei’s blood, and why there’s a theme of being a daredevil (the car challenge and “take the big risks” being the big examples) Heaven’s Smile in the game is essentially a phenomena that’s being used for terrorism, where someone loses all sanity and turns into a walking bomb. Andrei, scared that he’ll become infected, poses as a terrorist and crazy cult leader to lure the protagonists to his town. He figured that if something happens and he gets infected, he can be put out of his misery by them since they’re the only one who can kill the Heaven’s Smile. Unfortunately the military intervenes and injects Andrei with Heaven’s Smile to try and develop a cure against his will. The general dying from the rain is due to him being infected by both Heaven’s Smile and all of the diseases being introduced into him at once. It’s also why Andrei wears the astronaut suit around others; he’s a walking biohazard and it’s the only way he can be sure he isn’t infecting others
this boss is awesome in theory but I wish he had more health, like as soon as you figure out his weakness it's over like that. I thought you were gonna have to flank him 3 times at least, shame
It's such a joke commenting about something as wonderful as this game without even having played it. First nothing to compare with Halo since Halo is a game for a wide audience. @Avalanche While I love Suda51 stories, I can't deny that they're pretty pretentious, and I can understand there are people that don't want a story that only starts making any semblance of sense after thinking about it for like 2 hours after playing it. While I completely understand where you're coming from with your opinion on killer7's story (even though I personally liked it), I don't understand why you're saying the gameplay is bad. I feel like after you learn how the systems work (the game itself unfortunately explains nothing) it's actually really fun and unlike anything I've ever played, it's an incredibly unique take on the on-rails-shooter genre since you can actually choose where and when you move and switch between 3rd and 1st person.
No I don't think so, I think it's more just a passing of the torch. I interpret that the white car was clemence being a blank slate and him and the car given to him by Ulymeda being covered in his symbolizes him carrying on Andrés will
