Fantastic video, the drivers side is just as much of a nightmare ! we ended up pulling half the bumper off, and using adapted screwdrivers to get the bolts out and to move the headlight assembly. One thing i also noticed is that the highbeam one also looks like to be a complete nightmare. At least the sidelight and mainbeam are easier i guess ! ridiculous design. At 20 minutes, thats almost the time it takes to take the bumper off anyway, :( next one i do, i might just replace the entire lot on both sides, all bulbs. less hassle and time on this lololol
Michael Foran not a bad idea. I’ll definitely be dropping the bumper for headlights next time...I’ve found that is not a such a chore... but ridiculous for a bulb change. Lucky it’s a great car to drive otherwise 😉
Why did I take advice from you, later I realised that you can take of that white plastic from tank for windshield cleaning and u are right where u need to bee
The wire clip kinda thing? with difficulty… I think I recall using my phone as video to look in the hole and do it by feel. … might be matter to hack up and take the wheel off !
Very easy to remove the bulb from the bayonet one handed when it's in your hand in front of you. Not so easy when it's in situ and you can only get one finger tip on the glass. In fact it's not possible and if I don't separate them it's not coming out. Even if I did, I wouldn't get it back in. I can loosen the fitting, but it will NOT come out, from the top or bottom entryway. The headlight is going to have to be removed for us!! Very frustrating!!
I would punish the engineer who designed this mess, to change the bulbs in all Renault cars. I took half the car apart to change that bulb. Also check the power plug of the H7 bulb. It is of poor quality, the shoes come off and the cable burns.
Hi Chaz. Are you sure we're talking abut the same model Renault. Because myself, and everyone else it seems, finds changing these headlamp bulbs a nightmare! I did one on a Renault Megane Scenic, it was easy, but not the Renault Megane!!! I'm glad you didn't have a problem....intriguing.
The man who make this car is crazy no jokes
Best video thus far. I’ve got the bulb out but I’m soooo stuck now😒 Not sure I have much patience for more haha
Congrats man. I could not reach the lamp this way

Did my headlight bulb had to take the front wheel off to get the bulb in crazy design
thanks, good video, but it's missing how did you get the butterfly out? mine is really hard. how do you do it? thanks!

Would it be easier to jack up and take the wheel off, out of the way?
After looking to several videos and trying a lot I got the lamp but it was ok. There is a bad conection

You’re spot on, it’s a pain !
@@Simon78 Thanks Simon and for your tip to oxraap. I will look out for that when taking the bumper off!!!! Cheers.
Should employ some Japanese engineers just to simplify some of these DIY stuff. Have failed to change mine sofar. Wait till next day.

Good point for others! I found a LOT of the plastics for hoses and wiring brittle … esp connections as you say
Why did they make it so freaking hard to change a bulb!? 🤦🏻🤣
fucking engineering
Changed mine from top it was easy
Chaz Madge next time it’ll be bumper off job I think! Taking that off is far easier than it seems!
