Thanks for showing us what could be important for us. I believe you can also create a whole new profile and have that as your professional mode, keeping your friends on personal pages. This is important because the algorithm uses your friends' clicks as an indicator of where to reach beyond them, and if they're not clicking on your professional posts, it'll affect that organic stuff.
You’re totally right about the algorithm. What I’m not sure of is if FB would be okay with one person having two profiles. They’ve cracked down on this in the past - i.e. disabling accounts.

Thanks for asking, Bob! I really think this is best for people who are insistent on using their personal profile as their business page and are the sole face of their company. If you already have a business page and it's working for you/your team, just focus on that and don't worry about Professional Mode. I turned on Professional Mode specifically to make this video, and I'll hold onto it for the time being, but I may turn it off at some point because I don't want to dilute everything I'm already doing on my business page. I'd like to experiment with it first.

Thanks for asking! Everything I do is a combination of Canva (like blurring and creating graphics) and Final Cut Pro for video editing -- zooming, voice edits, etc. I hope that helps!

Thanks for asking - that's a REALLY good question! As far as I can see, tools like Buffer and Social Pilot (another prescheduler I have access to) don't allow you to link a personal page, which is technically what Professional Mode is. I can only assume Hootsuite is the same way. So, I'm not aware off-hand of tools that would work for Professional Mode. **But if anyone reading this question and comment has a solution, please share!**

Hello. When I click the 3 dots to turn on the professional mode, it's not there. I've checked my mom's facebook who doesn't even have Reels posted but she has the Professional Mode option available. How can I turn my standard Facebook account into professional mode? Need help please. Thank you!
Thanks for asking! My understanding is that one of 3 things may be causing you to not see it. Your account is „locked“ (change in settings), FB suspects your account is fake or there‘s fake info, or you need to update your app. I hope that helps!

Thanks for asking! No, I don't have a video specifically about how to post on Facebook. But on the main screen of your profile or page, you'll see where you can type in a post. I think it's totally fine to post the same content on your personal profile and page.
Hey nice video! Very informative. I just have a quick question, would be great if you could throw some light on this! When i turned on professional mode i noticed my videos showing a smaller number of views for eg, 250 views in the place of 12k views that the video had. And that has happened on all the videos posted before the professional mode. Does fb stop showing cumulative views when professional mode is turned on and shows only number of views since the change? Thank you so much for reaching out! I'm actually not an expert on the video-view change, but I believe you're correct - the number of cumulative views "resets" when you switch to Professional Mode.
Here's one for you. So I start an add in Profile, in doing so I click on the new link and mount the content on both profile and page. I then go to the page and boost the add targeting demographics etc. When approved by Facebook the BUY NOW button appears on the Page but not the Profile. Any workaround suggested to get it appear for both friends and followers on the page?

Great video. I have searched high and low for a solution but have come up empty-handed. No matter what I do I cannot get professional mode to appear as an option for me to turn on. Do you have any suggestions or solutions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for asking, Joey! Here are possible reasons Professional Mode isn't showing: (1) Your account is "locked" (fix this in account settings), (2) your account has fake details, (3) your FB app isn't updated. My guess is that it's problem #3, but anyway I hope that helps!

Honestly, as for the "locked" part, this is the information I found when I Googled it -- I'm not an expert in personal profiles, just business profiles, and I was just trying to answer the question as best I could. As for "fake," if you have any information in your account that may make Facebook believe you're not a real person, you want to fix it. That's the best I can offer, and sorry I can't help more!
Prof mode is not available globally.... if you are outside the US you may need to check whether your location is compatible.

Hello Mam! Can you please help me out? I don't have “Turn Professional Mode” option on my Facebook profile. I have checked each and every setting. Everything is set to public and even I don't have Facebook profile locked. Still, I don't have any option to turn this feature on. Please help!
Thanks for asking, Mohammad! Did you also check that you have the most updated FB app, and that your profile wouldn’t have any reason to be considered „fake“ by Facebook? Those would be the only two other obstacles I‘m aware of. If everything still looks good, you can try reporting the problem through FB‘s Help & Support (but no guarantees that you‘ll get a quick response). Sorry - I wish I could help more!

@@kaamilpirzada If you also have a FB business page, you might have access to Live Chat support. Check out my video about that. But unfortunately, I've found that FB is broken and not all accounts have that feature, even though they should. Best of luck!

Please understand that my channel no longer focuses on Facebook, so I haven't been keeping up with developments on Facebook. Yes, other people are now having that same issue too, unfortunately! I haven't been keeping up with FB since my channel has changed focus, so I recommend that you reach out to a CZcamsr that is still posting about FB. They'll probably be able to offer some advice about Professional Mode.

Thanks for asking, Richy! Yes, you can still send friend requests while you're in Professional Mode - I've done it in PM myself. As for the 2nd question, it may be easier to grow (and monetize) in PM because of the algorithm. You can monetize both Reels and eligible long-form videos -- see FB eligibility requirements. So….this sounds cool but I just set up a business page in order to “separate” my business from personal content. But I’ve been struggling with how to bring attention to the business page. Now I’m wondering if I should’ve done the professional mode???
I have both Professional Mode and a business page. You can leverage both in different ways. Note that the algorithm will always favor Professional Mode, so it‘s a matter of setting expectations. 🙂

Oh no! From what I understand, there are 3 reasons this might be happening: (1) Your account is "locked" (which can be changed in settings), (2) you have fake information on the account, or (3) you don't have the updated app. Hopefully that will help, and good luck!

When you're in professional mode, is there a way for just your followers to see your posts and not your personal friends? I don't want to annoy my personal friends with business-like posts.
I totally get it, Lindsay! Unfortunately, right now FB doesn’t allow for that option. You can only achieve something like that through a FB Business Page.
Im trying to understand what those percentages % mean when you are viewing performance of a page for example it shows post reach 5k and then it shows -58% en other insites aswell, gets me confused

Thanks for sharing. You should have a boost post option on desktop - I‘m coming out with a video about it this week. Scheduling isn’t an option yet. Not sure what you mean by the followers not showing. Friends are included as followers but aren’t listed.
Does turning to Professional Mode tamper with the reels' reach/views? They fell sharp; after I turned it on, my reels aren't getting as much views as before.
Just for context, I'm a real estate agent and my reels are my ads for the properties I'm selling.
Thanks for asking. Turning on Professional Mode shouldn't reduce the reach or views. Keep in mind that FB and IG recently realized that there isn't as much opportunity with Reels, so they've toned down all the hoopla about it. So the decrease in reach could very well be the change in the algorithm, which could have coincided with when you turned on Professional Mode. Just a guess. :-)

The 3 reasons I keep seeing pop up about Professional Mode not showing are: (1) the account is locked (for extra privacy), (2) there are fake details on the account, or (3) the FB app needs to be updated. I wouldn't be surprised if FB does exactly that! If you're a solopreneur, then really, you might be just fine with Professional Mode because FB just came out with boosting posts on Professional Mode anyway, which is one less advantage now for business pages.

Just seeing this. In case you have not figured this out, Facebook will automatically mute any copyrighted music, or sound in states or country where there is a copyright on it. So, if you are posting music or a video from a specific brand or artist in your story or on your page, it will most likely get copyrighted and they will mute the sound.

My understanding is that the lock profile feature isn’t available in all regions. If you do have it, you’ll see it when you click on the three dots under your banner image on your profile (desktop instructions). Good luck!

Thank you for asking, Katerina, and happy belated birthday! 🎂 Are you saying that not everyone who sent you a birthday wish had their post show up on your timeline? I looked this up, and apparently it's a settings thing, and you may have to do this on your phone rather than desktop. Go to Settings through Settings & Privacy, and make your way "Access Your Information." Then go to "Other People's Posts to Your Timeline" and you'll see hidden birthday messages. I didn't test this, but this is what I found in a Google search. I hope this helps!

I’ve been posting reels using the Audio/music option and things were going well and my followers were growing. Facebook invited me to monetize on my reels. Switched to professional mode and now reels with music are getting music violations and can’t be monetized. Can anyone help?

Hey please guide me ! I turned on professional mode everything was going well post reach and followers . I used to get 250 to 400 likes on a post but all of a sudden the reach is down 😢. Please help me i have a running buisness
Thanks for asking! If all of the sudden reach is down, it's probably an internal FB thing (i.e., everyone's reach is down), especially if your content has stayed the same. Unfortunately, all we can do is try to stick with best practices with posting and hope that FB delivers our posts to more people! Sorry I can't help more!

@@ghayasshahid FB recommends once a day. I recommend 3x/week - 1x/day, in case you get busy. It's what's sustainable in the long-term for you.

Thanks for asking! It might be the goal/objective that's set at the top of the boost page. You have to choose the right goal/objective for messenger to be an option, I believe. My channel now focuses on LinkedIn, so I haven't been as on top of FB as I used to be, so my apologies if I can't help you further. Best of luck!
