Because the lyrics are actually a story (kinda) listen as it’s telling a story about a girl who doesn’t want a relationship anymore.
@@devinalexander2436 i.... know what the song is about. everybody does. its hard not to know what its about, because its a very blatant song. im saying that, in most cases where a man covers a song where a woman is singing from the perspective of a woman in a relationship with a man, they will change the pronouns in the lyrics to not sound gay and make it from the perspective of a man in love with a woman instead. they didnt do that here tho, and thats cool to me
Tbh, I didnt even consider this to be "Gay" to begin with. Thats not the Point and I think hardly anyone thought about this, except you are very much on the fence when someone even remotely cuts into the topic. They just stayed true to it.
Well because if they would of changed the lyrics it wouldn't of been a cover. It's why I love Zebrahead cover of Avril Lavigne's Girlfriend and A Day To Remember cover of Kelly Clarkson's Since U Been Gone cause they kept the lyrics and also did the same videos as the original.
