And the guidebook...! I was the person who recommended "Tarot of the Abyss." I am thrilled you love it as much as I do. I agree it is perfect for deep, soulful work. Another deep deck I would recommend is the "Divine Muses Oracle." Based on mythology, archetypal symbolism, and alchemy. The guidebook is very detailed, too. I love Caroline Myss Archetypes in conjunction with my Light Seers Tarot to go deeper and activate the power of that specific archetype within me. Oh… that such a difficult one to answer. I am super curious about the Tarot of the Abyss.. I am a hughe fan of the Vice versa, it’s super underrated. You brought such great decks to my attention - thanks for this and Christmas hugs from the Netherlands 🇱🇺🤗
Agree. The best guide books are the ones that explain why certain symbols are used. Also love the Abyss and thanks for reminding me to use my soul cards.

For deep soulful readings I love guidebooks that explain symbolism and really give food for thought, which the Star Tarot does in droves. I have the Deep Place Oracle in my Etsy cart and That one is going to be a very near future purchase as it’s simply put just stunning and so soulful. I’m all about the guidebooks in addition to using my own intuition, especially since I started my new divination journey a little over a year ago, so guidebooks are a wonderful tool in strengthening my intuition and helping me see things I possibly wouldn’t have. These are all stunning decks, I dont own any other of Kim’s decks aside from Archetypes however I need to really start working deeper with that deck.wonderfully enlightening video! 2024 for me is all about digging deep, self health and care, so I’m loving some of your recommendations (even though this video is a bit older, there are a lot of decks that are timeless, if they’re not OOP lol.)
I have a quick question, when you purchase new decks, especially decks with chunky guidebooks, do you read the entire deck front to back, reading each cards meanings before you work together with them for readings or do you read only until the meanings and then only when cards are drawn do you read their meaning?
It depends. MOSTLY, I will go through the deck and pull out the cards that stump me and read those from the book. Then I'll use the book as I go when drawing cards.
