Mini twists are very effective at growing your hair but i found it difficult to stay consistent due to the long installation/takedown time. Chunky twists however, i find just as effective and with the added bonus of me being able to stay consistent with it. I went from a stagnant 17inches, to past 26inches just by being able to stay consistent. Just a tip for those struggling to stay consistent with mini twists/braids.
Hey, how long do you leave your chunky twists in?
@@Kedesh14 I wash my hair every month, sometimes I go longer. I refresh every 2 weeks to keep them looking neat. I spray my hair and scalp with a tea and condition my hair with a leave in before re-twisting and I donât use a comb/brush for this. I only use a brush on my hair on washdays once saturated with conditioner. I have a maximum of 20 twists in, sometimes less.

My mini twist went from taking 2 hours to a full day and Iâm only at 13-16 inches because the back of my hair grows slower then the front. They are amazing for me to maintain stretch and styles are waaayyyy easier. I not longer do straight styles because tbh my hair wasnât meant for that plus I got tired of doing my edges,
Mine grows the opposite of yours... Longer at the back, shorter in front. 15-18 inches

I used to mini twist when my hair was shorter but now it takes too long and i can't leave them in long enough for them to be worthwile to me.
My hair would start to lock after a week so I would have to continually redo the edges after two weeks.
I wear medium to chunky twists and wash every 2-3 weeks. I can leave them in between wash days or wear a twist out and refresh as needed.

I like mini twists but they donât like međ€ŁâŠ my twists unravel, i have to use perm rods at the end so itâs difficult to stay consistent with that routine with 3 kids( one of them is 4 months old)

How do you take care of your ends, or how do you re moisture after some weeks. As soon as i add moisture, they shrink or unravel.
I often will spray my hair with aloe Vera juice, water, glycerin, peppermint oil and eucalyptus oil.

Awesome video, what's your take on mini twists vs mini braids?
Honestly I prefer mini twists over mini braids. I like the look of mini braids but the installation time is brutal!!! Never mind the take down time. Just ridiculous!! So mini twists every day.

Ahhh mini braids are definitely not for everyone. Although I love the look, I donât think Iâll ever do them on my hair again đČ
Did you blow dry your hair prior?
I did blow dry my hair using the REVAIR before doing this.
Please, how many hours does it take you to finish?
This took me about 12 hours to do. Not in 1 seating but altogether I would say 12
I love this but I alway feel bald headed when I do it. I want mine to look fuller
Would adding curls to your help give the illusion of thickness? Honestly when my hair was shorter I did not always appreciate mini twists because I too felt bald but I kept doing them anyways and the contributed to the growth of my hair.
