For anyone who didn't realise, Truffle Tussle was because when you heal the boss, you get more hits in. When you get more hits, more Lil Fist damage stacks.

But it requires the least perfect blocking of ANY build. You HAVE to parry way more to beat her normally. Also don't have to parry you can just block regularly
Why not using the fang from infected spider? 30% chance on parry to explode. Wouldnt that make more sense than the defense badge? Of course, if you have it. Just imagine it would proc everytime of her 5 attack combo :D. Might try to test it. EDIT: Why do you people keep telling me the explosions heal her? I know they do and thats exactly why I suggested it. You want her to live long enough in the first phase to stack the lil fist. In the second and third phase you of course continue with power droplet. But with fang you can get easily 150+ stacks, that means a lot bigger change in second and third phase. If you are patient, by simple blocking you can keep healing her over and over until you have like 200 stacks, then you are like one punch man. On the top of this, once you have the matriarch weapon, you can switch midfigths to heal her with the bombs in the first phase as well and make the process of stacking faster.
@@Paraly5er Just tried it like 20 times. With defense badge it was like 110-120 stacks, with fang I had it also, but few times I got to 130+ stacks in the first phase... once even 156. But shield explosions cause kind of visual smog and I would not suggest it to the average player. I was playing it on Whoa.
I really think they should leave this build untouched at least for a pretty long Time since you need to have a ton of endgame gear and mutations wich the average player problably dont have. I think that if you spend the Time grinding for all of this you earn the right to "cheese" if you choose to (THIS IS NOT PVP!). Theres creative mode after all. Cant get More cheese than that
I wouldn't consider this cheese tbh as the infected brood can still hit you. Cheese implies you are getting to a safe spot where you can't be hit and can't lose the fight

Like why would they Nerf something in a PVE game that in first place has a creative mode with so many settings including a GOD mode Is beyond me. They should focus on actual bugs/glitches and BUFFS! even to insects instead of nerfing a specific item just because once you have ALL the rarest/hard-2-get gear in the whole game becomes "too powerfull". Your strategies do nothing but reflect how frikin smart and skilled you are.

They should add a assassin bug as a stepping stone to the infected Broodmother the (armor set would give you more resistance the more bug parts you have and the higher the tear the parts are (tear 1 0.05) (tear 2 0.5) (tear 3 1) (boss parts 5)) (the mutation makes you life steal if you Perfect block) (the weapon will do poison and toxicity and it will be a spear)
I found this method to be more difficult honestly. I tried this for a bit and got angry so I said screw it and did my own build. I did full fire ant armor set with the sleek route. Fire ant shield and a level 9 fresh toenail scimitar. As for mutations I did Parry Master, Blademaster, Sour Sensation, Coup De Grass, and Corporate Kickback. It got me through the first 2 phases quite easily and for the third phase I found it much much easier to just hold the block button for the Infected Broodmother's super fast attack, and parry everything else.

For anyone wondering, if you can block this is DEFINITELY worth, just beat ibm with using 0 heals, I did have to restart once, but that’s because my controller disconnected, as long as you can perfect block screams it becomes extremely easy, for phase 3 I just held my shield on her extremely fast attacks, hit her till she screamed, then perfect blocked-boom easy
And for anyone that doesn’t wanna do crit, you don’t NEED to, I did it with ladybug for healing, (my only max set on my new play through) kept coupe on, but only had phase 1 trapper, so I used manta
I feel like you should do another mutation tier list since there are a bunch of new ones and alot of them got buffed. Also you should try out corporate kickback because every time it activates it can get you back to full health easily.
Hey Paraly5er, i think I made a new life steal built (that means i havent seen it anywhere) and i killed 3 ox beetles with it and it would make me very happy if you could test it out. here is it: mask of the broodmother on sleek, widow armour chestplate on sleek and legs of the broodmother on sleek so you got a lot of poison damage. then a Tick Macuahuitl on mighty best case is max level so you do more damage. and a ladybird shield for the chance of a free attack or a fire ant shield for corrosion. for mutations i took corporate kickback because its really good for healing + swordmaster + mom genes + coup de gras+ the mutation for extra crit damage idk the name i didnt unlock it. and the trinket is the health and safety badge for more healing. and to negate the damage from it i would take one bandage every fight. edit: its a poison life steal built if you havent noticed. it does very much damage because of the poison and it heals yourself a lot
Challenge idea: you can only parry, if you get hit or block you restart to last save, of course the objective is to kill normal broodmother Another idea: no armor which is simple but challenging, once again just kill broodmother I know these ideas aren't the best but they could make a decent video I guess

Maybe you can explain why the chopper and smasher mutations? As chopper is only useful when useing a chopping tool and smasher when useing a smashing tool and as we are unarmed neither is applicable
Power droplet effect - Unarmed attacks have a 25% chance to deal a second hit. These 2nd hits that deals 6 damage and are able to inherit effects from Mutations and Armor intended for different damage types. This means mutations like chopper and smasher become useful

I personally use my summon build for everything I have widowling trinket full sleek broodmother gear both summon mutations cardio fan and bleed. It is also my status effect build and it works great against most bosses
hm why do u need perfect block? I dont loose the stacks if i hold block. So whats the point of perfect block? I think you can get a lot of block strengh to not reach the maximum of the blockbar in the whole fight. Also the Shield Solidifier trinket is very good.
No need to make it sleek, the inf brood has a really high stun cap so chances of stunning her are minimal. This build would work fine with stamina drain, no need for the mite hat I guess
I'm missing your mythbusting series, i hope you arent done with it. i just switched between defense badge and Entomologist Badge and i dont notice a huge differance on my poison bleed build so ...... Myth: attack damage buffs (and debuffs) dont affect damage over time ie: poison/bleed. im hoping this means i can take advantage of defense badge without losing much damage at all.
Hey Paraly5er, are you aware you can unlimited fire a crossbow ( No cheats ) as long as you have enough stamina and arrows?? The arrows can be any type you want, any crossbow you want, I prefer ox crossbow. cant be done by normal bow sadly,
Like I said in the video once you get the Hoagie use the super duper to dupe it for 1k so you don't have to keep collecting the toenails and stuff. I make these videos to help people beat the boss and sadly don't have enough time to hop on everyone's worlds and help them beat it
@@Paraly5er The Sleek modifier on it cuts stamina regen delay in half. It plus the Ladybird Shield is a build all on its own because the free attack effect from the Ladybird Shield lasts long enough for your stamina to regen even while attacking, since free attacks don't interrupt it.
When you equip anything it automatically removes the lil fist stack so this won't work, I thought of it during testing. The only thing that does work is the volatile fang trinket

It's a shame they nerfed lil'fist again by limiting the stacks to 100 after basically gutting it in the rework. Still makes for some fun shenanigans though
Im working on blocking the 5 piece but once the second wave hits its impossible to not get hit from all the bombs going off and the constant smoke in the air where i cant see her. He second starts much calmer than mine
@Paraly5er I know the smoke doesn't but she does it twice in a row and I can't see her anymore. I'm going to keep trying but that second wave starts immediately with bombs and a scream so it's hard to avoid getting hit and I lose my stats
Chopper makes the boss weaker to busting, stabbing and chopping attacks by 20%. Smasher makes the enemy attack speed reduced by 30%. Using the fists with lil fist and power droplet means that the second attacks produced can be ANY attack type including chopping and busting. When this applies these effects will proc making the boss take more damage and reducing it's speed meaning less attacks to block
This is why we get unnecessary nerfs that make mutations useless bc ppl purposefully find ways to cheese the game. Most people arent doing this. But of course top streamers and youtubers are the ones they watch to fix the game. Imagine they put a weight limit on your character. Make it worse for us
Not really my fault. I'm trying to make ways to beat the boss easily for everyone. They just nerf everything at every chance. This wasn't even that OP tbh, it requires a good amount of skill to not get hit at all.
@Paraly5er haha It must feel kinda awesome knowing the devs sort of use your boss killing builds as a benchmark for what they want and don't want. It's cool to see there only nerfed it a Lil bit. 100 stacks will still kill stage 3 in about 20 hits or less
Why assassin amour? How much is it helping? Why not, fire ant legs for more damage, Termite chest to slow her down, and wizard hat for the perfect block and damage? (still checking if wizard hat's damage works) Also if anyone knows of a better helmet, please tell me.
Assassin armor for the crit chain. The goal is to stop her attacking in stages 2 and 3. Assassin armor makes it so if you crit you are more likely to crit again and crits stop her from attacking.
@@Paraly5er but didn't they change how you hit them back? I thought they now have a timer before you can do that again, Also what's the Percentage of crit Chain? So shouldn't that mean slowing her down will be better because it's more consistent?
@@fidoughbreadit The timer is for stunning enemies. Stunning is when they get the yellow ring around there head. Crits cause a stagger effect that stop an enemies current attack.

It's 4am for me right now, so I won't be testing, but look at your video, the first crit hit her back, but the other crits are not. I used that build before, and I remember knocking back the bosses a lot, and now it doesn't, maybe it was a glitch before or they did change it in the 1.2 update.
@@Paraly5er Edit: Chain Crit was fixed and now correctly works with regular attacks, thanks to patch 1.2.3. However, the stagger resist mechanic prevents Infected Broodmother from staggering again for an 'X' amount of time after a stagger from a crit.
Whenever I kill her phase 1 and have all my stacks she just screams as soon as she starts phase 2 and I lose all the stacks, did they patch this or smthn?
Sometimes I perfect block and I get staggered and lose my stack cause she hits me. It usually happens with the 5 piece and idk why I’m on controller so it’s difficult asf
Yeah she will, bosses can be weird though, like sometimes if you reload and summon again they can ignore you. You could turn player damage off and then you can't lose the fist stack haha

They really need to add a way to craft trinkets or a respawn timer. Cause in my shared world of like 248 days. A couple montha ago, the game crashed and deleted all my equiped gear including the power droplet and now there is zero point in doing a fist build without the power droplet. If anyone can think of a way to help me get it back please let me know. I can't revert the save cause I am not the owner of the save, plus that was over 175 days ago
@@Paraly5er I've checked every update and it's not there. So basically this was when black widows came out, I died to its poison and then the game crashed. I load the game back up and all my equipped items are gone. Weapon, trinket, and armor just gone. I checked all over where I died and in the black widow cave and absolutely nothing there. I don't care about the armor or the weapon. I just want the trinket back.
@@SlothManGames that sucks, have you tried doing the recover backpacks option in the game menu? That would be the only other way I could see getting it back
@@SlothManGames Don't think there's any solution. I would try using debug to recover backpacks and maybe it'll spawn back at spawn. Final option would be to use the cheat engine on PC to spawn it in

Each to their own. I used this on my Whoa save and got it on the 3rd try, I find this is much easier personally as much less blocking required

You should be able to hold down the shield to block the screams too I'm pretty sure, just risky as you get stunned temporarily

You don't NEED to perfect block but it helps to avoid being stunned as if you get stunned you are more likely to get hit
I am usualy playing without stamina drain in custom on grounded so what build should i use. Also why didn't you make the koi armor sleek?
No need to make it sleek, the inf brood has a really high stun cap so chances of stunning her are minimal. This build would work fine with stamina drain, no need for the mite hat I guess
I'm missing your mythbusting series, i hope you arent done with it. i just switched between defense badge and Entomologist Badge and i dont notice a huge differance on my poison bleed build so ...... Myth: attack damage buffs (and debuffs) dont affect damage over time ie: poison/bleed. im hoping this means i can take advantage of defense badge without losing much damage at all.
Hey Paraly5er, are you aware you can unlimited fire a crossbow ( No cheats ) as long as you have enough stamina and arrows??
The arrows can be any type you want, any crossbow you want, I prefer ox crossbow. cant be done by normal bow sadly,
Yeah but you get a debuff which massively reduces damage so it isn't very effective
Do you need the assassin armor
This guide doesn't work as well anymore. Fists is still doable though and I would highly reccomend the assassin armor

Like I said in the video once you get the Hoagie use the super duper to dupe it for 1k so you don't have to keep collecting the toenails and stuff. I make these videos to help people beat the boss and sadly don't have enough time to hop on everyone's worlds and help them beat it

@@Paraly5er The Sleek modifier on it cuts stamina regen delay in half. It plus the Ladybird Shield is a build all on its own because the free attack effect from the Ladybird Shield lasts long enough for your stamina to regen even while attacking, since free attacks don't interrupt it.
Technically if u get her grenade u can get loads of stacks of little fist
When you equip anything it automatically removes the lil fist stack so this won't work, I thought of it during testing. The only thing that does work is the volatile fang trinket

I get hit by those explody things every damn time on phase 2 and it ruins my stack. This method seems impossible now I dont get it.
I've done it since, just have to find a spot that is safe from explosions, near the spawn for the boss is usually where I go

They nerf because they want it to be hard, but use it before it gets nerfed haha

I just beat her finally and didn’t get enough parts to build 1 single item from her. That’s ridiculous considering how hard the fight is
Yeah make sure you use dissection expert before looting and also rub a stuffed infected bug for more loot too

It's a shame they nerfed lil'fist again by limiting the stacks to 100 after basically gutting it in the rework. Still makes for some fun shenanigans though

Im working on blocking the 5 piece but once the second wave hits its impossible to not get hit from all the bombs going off and the constant smoke in the air where i cant see her. He second starts much calmer than mine
The smoke doesn't damage you, the bombs have since changed but are still avoidable particularly near the point at which you summon her
@Paraly5er I know the smoke doesn't but she does it twice in a row and I can't see her anymore. I'm going to keep trying but that second wave starts immediately with bombs and a scream so it's hard to avoid getting hit and I lose my stats
I’ve given myself a rule where I can’t use a fist build until I beat it regularly so I’m gonna use this after I’ve killed it for all the stuff

I have a build so full set of infected broodmother armor the power droplet lil fists and truffle tussle and maybe throw in a beefy liquid rage

My blocking just isn't that good. The idea of me fighting her and not missing at least one block makes me laugh. Good guide. I suck.
Unfortunately you need to be able to block to beat her. The majority of the blocking here is in phase 1 which is the easiest phase to block.
I m playing all day and i stuck at [phase 3 every time... this dude makes it look sooo easy!

Why chopper and smasher??
Chopper makes the boss weaker to busting, stabbing and chopping attacks by 20%.
Smasher makes the enemy attack speed reduced by 30%.
Using the fists with lil fist and power droplet means that the second attacks produced can be ANY attack type including chopping and busting. When this applies these effects will proc making the boss take more damage and reducing it's speed meaning less attacks to block

This is why we get unnecessary nerfs that make mutations useless bc ppl purposefully find ways to cheese the game. Most people arent doing this. But of course top streamers and youtubers are the ones they watch to fix the game. Imagine they put a weight limit on your character. Make it worse for us
Not really my fault. I'm trying to make ways to beat the boss easily for everyone. They just nerf everything at every chance. This wasn't even that OP tbh, it requires a good amount of skill to not get hit at all.

@Paraly5er haha It must feel kinda awesome knowing the devs sort of use your boss killing builds as a benchmark for what they want and don't want. It's cool to see there only nerfed it a Lil bit. 100 stacks will still kill stage 3 in about 20 hits or less

Assassin armor for the crit chain. The goal is to stop her attacking in stages 2 and 3. Assassin armor makes it so if you crit you are more likely to crit again and crits stop her from attacking.

@@fidoughbreadit The timer is for stunning enemies. Stunning is when they get the yellow ring around there head. Crits cause a stagger effect that stop an enemies current attack.

It's 4am for me right now, so I won't be testing, but look at your video, the first crit hit her back, but the other crits are not.
I used that build before, and I remember knocking back the bosses a lot, and now it doesn't, maybe it was a glitch before or they did change it in the 1.2 update.
@@Paraly5er Edit: Chain Crit was fixed and now correctly works with regular attacks, thanks to patch 1.2.3.
However, the stagger resist mechanic prevents Infected Broodmother from staggering again for an 'X' amount of time after a stagger from a crit.
do i take damageif i hold the sheild? i heard somewhere it takes stamina but perfect doesnt cost stamina
Holding the shield prevents damage but will build up the block bar on the shield, if it fills up you will be stunned for a couple of seconds
Yeah you need stamina for the held down shield blocking to prevent all damage

Hold down your shield to block the scream, you will be stunned for a second but be fine, then just make sure to avoid the explosives

You lose it when you exit battle. You could build it up if you brought stuff in like ant eggs but you would have to not get hit at all

Sometimes I perfect block and I get staggered and lose my stack cause she hits me. It usually happens with the 5 piece and idk why I’m on controller so it’s difficult asf
I think it's something to do with the blue liquid, try and keep her out of it by fighting her near the entrance to the lair

Yeah she will, bosses can be weird though, like sometimes if you reload and summon again they can ignore you. You could turn player damage off and then you can't lose the fist stack haha

Yep this would also work, or bomb arrows, or bombs. Just can't do it in solo as if you switch off of the fists you lose the buff

They really need to add a way to craft trinkets or a respawn timer. Cause in my shared world of like 248 days. A couple montha ago, the game crashed and deleted all my equiped gear including the power droplet and now there is zero point in doing a fist build without the power droplet. If anyone can think of a way to help me get it back please let me know. I can't revert the save cause I am not the owner of the save, plus that was over 175 days ago
I don't think you can sadly. I've never heard of stuff dissapearing though, surely it's somewhere? Have you tried checking where it spawns again?
@@Paraly5er I've checked every update and it's not there. So basically this was when black widows came out, I died to its poison and then the game crashed. I load the game back up and all my equipped items are gone. Weapon, trinket, and armor just gone. I checked all over where I died and in the black widow cave and absolutely nothing there. I don't care about the armor or the weapon. I just want the trinket back.
@@SlothManGames that sucks, have you tried doing the recover backpacks option in the game menu? That would be the only other way I could see getting it back
@@SlothManGames Don't think there's any solution. I would try using debug to recover backpacks and maybe it'll spawn back at spawn. Final option would be to use the cheat engine on PC to spawn it in
