- This is the washer at the house we are renting for my grandmother while we figure out the best living situation for her. It is an LG WM3400CW front load washer. I’m sorry I didn’t show the dryer like I said I would but I forgot to cut that part out while editing this video, but the laundry closet’s floor is raised about 6 inches and I can’t reach it without a step ladder because I’m short and I didn’t want to bother with unfolding said ladder but I will do it another time.
This is very helpful, thank you. The only suggestion I would make is please steady the camera, I actually got motion sick from watching it.😵💫🤢
Sorry about that
I just bought this washer and it cleanes very well compair to the toploder i had
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hi! Thanks for the video. Very helpful. Question, how do you add the prewash cycle on the panel (same place as control lock)??
You hold the cold wash button for 3 seconds. That turns the signal both on and off.
This drum isn’t a high end drum, it’s just LGs newer drum. They used the older drum on some of these models because they had a lot left over so they probably wanted to use them up. I think they’re all gone now tho cuz I haven’t seen them for a while.
Where can I find information like this? Is there a forum somewhere? I’m looking at buying one of these or the next tier up with that display on the knob
Get the turbowash models, but try to steer clear of the ones with the knob display, just because they just recently got released and no one is sure of its reliability yet. Who knows, maybe it’s good, but it’s best to just buy the good old standard display lg models.
is it still going strong?
You may have covered this, but please provide a written direction here. How do you run a soak cycle before wash? Thank you!
@@vivianholder8775 This machine doesn’t have a soak option. Your best bet is to use the pre-wash option. You could also soak the load in a bucket or a bathtub, then put the load in the washer soaking wet.
I don’t underhand the cold wash button that’s separate from the temp controls??
The cold wash button lengthens the wash time and does all it’s extra manuevers to get the clothes as clean as warm water. Cold water from the temp control just does a regular wash in cold water
The manual says only use the "cold wash" button for small loads (under 8 lbs which is approx 8 bath towels)
I don’t think anyone would ever do that. Not even me. Also, who would wash towels on cold?
they are always adding crap no one will ever use

Too bad (and ridiculous) that LG doesn't provide any instruction on settings.
You have to go on the page.
How come the Normal option doesn’t display a total minute? Just two dashes?
The normal cycle senses the load size, and that determines the cycle time, so the cycle time on this cycle is undetermined. Expect about 65 mins for a small-ish load, and around 85 mins for a large load, with the default settings.
thank you for your video...I noticed the rinse speed button on this washer. can you just do a spin cycle without rise to dry clothes better?
Yes, you can. Also, I think each cycle has its own rinse and spin cycle with different durations.
@@maxbubbles6009 awesome thank you. Can you just clarify how to just make it soon without rinsing? (Which button)
@@Soprano0913 To get a spin only cycle, press the power button, and hold the spin speed button for 3 seconds.
@maxbubbles6009 awesome thank you so much!
Why it seems no much water during washing? Is it normal?
Yes, this is normal. There was actually quite a bit of water in there for the load size. The normal cycle, the cycle it was on, uses less anyway, because it’s the government mandated cycle by the DOE (Department of Energy).
How do I turn on the alarm sound if it is turned off
@maxbubbles6009 You explained it better than the LG guys. My problem is I can’t get it off #CL Can you please help me 🙏
Thank you! CL means that control lock is on. To get rid of that code, you hold the control lock button for 3 seconds.
Whats the depth measuring from the top side?
27 “
How do connect the darn thing to Wi-Fi ?!
Since this is the bottom of the line model, I don’t think it’s Wi-Fi compatible, but the next step up, the WM3600 is. If it had a downloaded cycle, usually found on the bottom right side of the cycle selector dial, then it is. You just need to download the LG ThinQ app.
aboutot buy this on sale read some really bad reviews. but also every single washer has bad reviews lol. literlaly EVERY washer out right now has hundreds of bad reviews butstill has4 stars. one bad thing about this is when you use the motion buttons to much and they wear out from hitting them to much, your screwed basically. it seems to almost be planned that way to instead of saving your regular setting you have to hit the buttons everytime. like me personally i use warm for everything and dont care. so ima have to hit that button and wear it out like a microwave
Good luck. I hope you like it. I think this defaults on warm water on the normal cycle, so you won’t have to do anything. What will it be replacing?
@@maxbubbles6009 a whirlpool that made a loud grinding noise and i just was done with it. unfortunately ive had a NIGHTMARE with this LG!! first off it came scratched and the dispenser tray frame is bent. i called within 24 hours. the people who delivered it were 3rd party 20 yr olds throwing things around in a bad mood. so homedepot goes well send a tech out in a few days on monday. monday comes no one calls or shows. i call home depot back and there like oh we cancelled it because the person put a tech in from homedepot when it should be a LG tech. so then im like well now what?? so their like let me connect you to LG, i wait 20 minutes and get disconnected. call back home depot a 3rd time, they again finally connect me to someone in india for LG who i cant understand with babies crying in the background. hes like let me connect u to the washer department. and im thinking is that in your basement of your house? so they connect me again to someone i can barely hear. she goes we have no LG techs in your area we have to call a 3rd party handyman tech to come to your house and hell call you within 48 hours to set up a appointment. guess what, its been 48 hours and no call. $800 for this headache and already missed 2 days of work and its not even fixed yet.

I don't like your video, it is making me really dizzy. AMATEUR.
This was over a year ago, and I’ve gotten a lot better at holding the camera, aka my phone, steady. I also use a tripod a lot so that I can don’t have to be in the room while filming.
