It was 1979, a small town in Delta County, on the Western Slope of Colorado. A small cabin up near Surface Creek. The only home I ever knew, went to live there with my aunt and uncle. The only mom and dad I ever knew in my life. I left for the Navy in 1984 and never made it back. They have both passed. I look forward to seeing them again when my life on this earth is over.
