To bad some fans, cant be this respectful on either team. College football is about young men maturing and a great sporting event. I have lived all my life in Louisiana and I am a diehard LSU fan. With that said, Clemson played one hell of a ball game tonight. I would say better luck next year but hopefully, we will have another great team. Either way nothing but respect for all Clemson players and coaches; especially Etienne!

There wasn't much class when he claimed that SARMS can be found in shampoo, or when Clemson's ranked dropped slightly this season and he started getting defensive.
Dabo is the best hearted coach in the game. Saban should take notes from this Godly man! Thanks Dabo for being one of the good guys!

It was a great game! Congrats to LSU. No excuses. This loss takes nothing away from the incredible season this team had. So much growth took place since last Natty and this year's. I'm looking forward to next season. I still have lots to process from that game but I'm sending love to Clemson SC from the Northeast. 🐾👊🏽

What an incredible post-game interview & a stand-up guy. I was worried that getting those 2 or so calls in our favor, especially the offensive pass interference would sour the victory just a little for LSU and the way Dabo came out and gave all respect and credit to LSU was awesome. Awesome victory for my team but Geaux both Tigers... Dabo just made me a fan.
You do realize that Clemson grabbed the LSU defender by jersey, held it and pushed him to the ground. The targeting was blatant and stupid just like Shawn Wade's two weeks ago vs Clemson. They both lowered their heads, stupidly, so that face parallel to the ground, missile-like; unnecessary and dangerous - to both parties.
Clemson has had plenty of breaks the last few yrs, besides their absurd schedule and conf title opponents.
I don't think Clemson would have much to say about getting calls in their favor after the Ohio State game.
There were bad calls and no calls that went both ways all game. The OPI was definitely bad, but the PI on Fulton on the interception right before that was just as bad. It was a wash.

These receivers push off constantly, and this one was worse. He needs to keep his hands to himself and run himself open. But if you're going to stretch both sides of the jersey and jerk the guy toward the ground...even nowadays in pass happy world that gets called. GOOD CALL.

As an LSU fan, i must say that only the CLEMSON team was able to hold us in the first Quarter and play against us with the right frame of mind. My compliments and specially to your coach Dabo ; he is a fantastic human being in being humble and recognize our victory. GO BOTH TIGERS !!!!!!

Man, what a game. 1st quarter Clemson was vicious on both sides. Amazing how once LSU offense got going it almost never stopped. Clemson made moving the ball look easier than we did until midway to Q3. I'm not sure why but Trev Lawrence turned into a completely diff guy and alot of 3 and outs. Stopping Etienne was a HUGE deal for LSU and Queen had an amazing game. Just all around great play calling and execution by LSU to throw off defending champs. So proud of my Tigers and getting the W this year. This is a special year for us and will be historical for us for a long time. Dabo is such a good guy I wish him the best and Clemson will always be good with him there. Geaux Tigers!
Coach Sweeney is such a classy guy ! A couple of years ago , a real underdog beat them and when the coaches met at midfield after the game , you could read his lips when he told the opposing coach, " I'm so happy for you !" That is pure class . Great season Coach !

I'm a UGA/SEC fan, so I was pulling for LSU. I knew they would blow it out of the water(once they got their rhythm going). HOWEVER...Clemson and Trevor Lawrence are phenomenal,too, and Trevor will BE BACK! This was a great interview with Coach Swinney. He gave credit where it was due...I highly respect him.

@Keepit Grinding thats like saying no matter how deep the pool is you still have to go underneath to touch the bottom, well duh you have to play decent football to win the games,but if your entire schedule is shit, or in the scenario i presented the pool is shallower, you have to play less quality and theres more room for mistakes, and if the pool aint as deep you don't gotta hold your breath as long. Clemson was a good team no doubt, but with constant mistakes in the red zone from ohio state, and a terrible ref call against ohio state, they still barley beat osu. Lsu destroyed their competition and had better points per game stats then clemson even with a harder/more intense schedule of opponents. Was more then clear to me watching the season ending that LSU had the upperhand and was more then likely to win.

I support all college football teams regardless they win or not. I like both LSU and Clemson teams. These young players were phenomenal and they played so well. I was happy for LSU because they deserved it. To Clemson team, their coach, and their fans, yours should be proud that you made it to the Championship. Although your team did not win but yours should be proud by made it to this far. Clemson won twice within four years. That was amazing already. Coach Dabo said he felt hurt and sad for Clemson fans and his team. He should not felt that way. He needs to realize that there are so many other college football teams dream to make it to top 25, top 12, top 4, or play for the national championship, but they were never make it. Coach Swinney should be proud that his team played at the National championship. I like coach Dabo Swinney but he must realize that he can never expect to win every times. Mr Dabo Swinney, sometime in life we need to fall in order to experience the pain and appreciate life more. If you don't fail then you will never succeed. Clemson play’s no one all season. Cupcakes and high school teams. They come into the playoffs at full speed because they haven’t had to burn any gas during the season. That’s why they keep getting into the top 4. Put ‘em in the SEC and they’re maybe the 4th best team in that conference.

As a Bama fan and a huge Dabo fan since his days at Bama that’s about as classy a post game interview from a losing team ive ever seen. Nice job to coach O as I really like him too.
Sometimes we forget this are just young men, sometimes kids still when they get to the college level. We put so much pressure and criticism over them, even make fun of their lack of success. I look at Lawrence and I can feel the disappointment and sadness. Hopefully better days will come and he will learn from the fails to keep hungry for the wins.
It was a great football season..lots of great teams this year and big games..and we topped it off with epic championship game played by 2 respected programs...no losers in my eyes......both teams are winners...can't wait for next season..should be good

I Watched the game and the Clemson QB didn’t get it going for them in the last quarter’s a few miss throws fumbles and I think that cause them the game but in the 1st Quarter he was great with that 1st touchdown

They played a 7-5 team for their conference championship for petes sake. They could win almost all of their games with their second string players. They get all year to hone their team by playing less than mediocre teams. Compared to teams like LSU who had to beat a GAUNTLET of people to even get there.
The ACC was unironically worse than some non power five conference's this season.
Clemson should have lost in the semi-final against Ohio State, but the criminal SEC Referees kept them in the game. The better team, LSU, won tonight.

We agree to disagree there. All though I was very impressed with Clemson's defence last night, I wouldn't go as so far to say that they would beat every other team in the SEC. Just my opinion, it's hard having to play your best game almost every week. I'm not downing any other conference but let's be real, You have tough games and you have games you can cruise. I’m not knocking the SEC bc my team is in the SEC but the SEC isn’t the tough conference it use to be! Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M are losers every year and Outside of Alabama and Georgia, the other teams are just average anymore!

Yea, next year Clemson’s toughest game is against Notre Dame. Clemson recruits well, has excellent talent, but plays in a crappy league. With less injuries, they get stronger as the season progresses. Oh yea, they stole the Ohio State game too.

Lsu literally won by random deep balls against #1 and even those were sporadic. Give Clemson the momentum of a 3rd down conversion or a consecutive touchdown after their defense 3 and outed LSU and it would have been a repeat of last year. Henry Hale Clemson plays no one until the playoffs. They get cupcakes and high school teams all year. Put them in the SEC and let them play LSU or Alabama’s schedule every year and they might never make the playoffs again.
Respect these guys and how hard they played but that LSU team was & is the best team in the land... Wow... a great team ... Clemson gave it there best and LSU was just a better team man for man and it looked like at the beginning that Clemson was going to out coach LSU but Talent wins out over the run of the game. Clemson has class that is for sure...

LSU was just better that night. You win some, you lose some. Last night just wasn't there night. That generational talent stuff needs to stop. That's not what he is,even though he makes his team better, the pieces around him has to perform. They didn't last night. Should've gotten etienne more involved last night.

Dabo is a very class act… But they didn’t play anybody until they played Ohio State or LSU. And they suffered from that lack of competition.
It was good to see Lawrence lose after his arrogant interview after the Ohio State game.

@@Murkio98 it reminds me of the 2017 NCAA Tournament when #11 Northern Iowa blew a 15 point lead in the final 45 seconds of the game with countless turnovers. They then lost to TAMU in overtime. Their guys celebrated early and cried when Texas A&M celebrated in their faces.

I'm an avid LSU Tigers fan. I've not watched a lot of Clemson and have not been very familiar with their coach or Trevor Lawrence. What a class act their team seems to be! Great culture. Their coach, Swinney, is a super class act and you can tell that he loves the Lord and brings that to the culture. He obviously attracts young men of the same mind and soul. Trevor Lawrence is also a wonderful role model and a classy young man. He owned his shortcomings and speaks with great professionalism and leadership. Hats off to them. Can't think of a better competitor to have played in the big game. Newfound respect for the other Tigers, Clemson. Finally, congrats to my LSU Tigers... Geaux Tigers!
