Sir is so obsessed with Gabi. This episode really peeled back a lot of layers to him and how much being with Gabi means to him. Wow.
Totally agree, he's obsessed with her. Perhaps, because she's one that caged him. How did she beat him? Flip the paradigm on him. And got Sir, behind Lock & Key. Iam fascinated" by how Gabi trapped. A child abducting psychopath? She's brilliant!

@@user-eb1st2lu1v It's been clear how it's been just a little too easy for Gabi to keep Sir in her home, without him being able to at least cause enough attention when she has guests, like when he can hear their voices, for him to get her found out. If he really wanted out of the situation she put him in, he could have just called out and they could have heard him in turn.
He also could have used that piece of wood that broke off in his hand when he was exercising, to at least threaten, if not hurt Gabi with it. I think she found him as he was stalking her. I think he caused that to happen, if not just also choosing to have her catch him and let her chain him up in her home, when it's been quietly and not so quietly pointed out on the show a number of times now, how he can easily fool and harm her if he chooses.
@@bluephoenix6322 On this latest episode, it was absolutely heartbreaking to find that Hugh (Sir) was built to be the way he is now, by his horrible, cold-hearted mother. I know it doesn't excuse anyone hurting others in turn, but it sucks to see how much power a parent has to destroy so much of the sanity and goodness a person has inside, just because they're in charge of raising them. In another life for him, I would love to see how Hugh would have turned out if his mother had truly even given a penny about the two boys she brought into the world.. I also have been wondering what happened to his brother, as we wonder whether or not Hugh took that knife and killed his mother after all she did to him..
It was one episode when she made him something to eat but before she went to the basement she took time to make sure she looked nice. Sir really got in to her psyche she can’t shake off her time being kidnapped by him. God I love this show!

I’m not convinced that he can’t get out of the chain. He was peeved that she left him for a long time when she went to the reservation. I think he got out of the chain to get her back there. He has evaded the police for 20 years and followed Gabbi without being caught - is it really plausible that a little old chain is going to be the thing that locks him down. As she said, he wants to be there.

@@carmenvazquez4700 It's a stretch of land given to Native Americans that live in the US, for them to all live together with their own tribes, and families, and to practice their ancestrial beliefs.. But at the same time it's not so much a great thing, as they were forced to have only these places to live as they have been for years and years throughout history, since the continent was their home before it was "claimed" by others..
One of the sick things about the two kidnappings is that they gave the victims a purpose. After Sir kidnapped Gabi and she got away, she embarked on a mission to find others who were kidnapped that the police ignored and the media didn't cover. Her purpose came from her kidnapping. Same with Sir. He has been instrumental in finding some of these people because he knows how to think like them. He was one of them. But you are starting that he likes helping find people. Something he wouldn't have known if he wasn't kidnapped by Gabi
It's so interesting that despite all the evidence to the contrary she still underestimates the level of his obsession 🤔 He absolutely wants to be there. His only beef is being chained lol because he knows it's not necessary... he doesn't want to go anywhere 😭
Oh it's necessary for him to be chained. If he is not he would kidnap her and take her to his turf so he can be alone with her when he wants to. Keeping him chained gives her some control because she knows where he is at all times.
I hope they show us from his perspective what drew him to kidnap her
@@carolharris2401 I think like someone else has mentioned before elsewhere, that the unknown extra heat signature that was found near Gabi's home wasn't a police officer keeping an eye out for Gabi's safety by being around her house, but was Sir trying to spook Gabi by going out and making the sightings that were being reported about him, himself. I think it is very possible that he can get out of the basement, and then sneak back in without Gabi knowing he can get free.. Either that, or someone else is pulling some shady business..
@@carolharris2401 Maybe because she said or did something around him before he decided to take her, that triggered that dignity and kindness of that woman who had visited and fed him when he was hungry in his home as a teen, the woman most likely being the only person who had ever truly gave a single care about him in his life.
@lolajaramillo4620 Yeah I definitely think the black lady played a role in his decision to take Gabi. I wonder if as an adult he tried to find her only to learn she died. That may have been the trigger to make him kidnap Gabi. Notice how he tries to groom Gabi by giving her books and having her read. It's like he was trying to make her into the black lady. Deep down I think Sir is just searching for someone to love him

Anyone else wonders how Sir got in the basement in the first place ? There is no way in hell someone Gaby's size can move Sir's obvious unconscious body in there alone.

Women" can be quite resourceful, when they have to be. People, have to get over this fragile helpless" view of women. Thinking, that a woman, Can't plan or move objects. or a man. If she has too. A resourceful woman, can be just as inventive" using problem solving skills. To overcome a target. Bigger than herself" and flip it to her advantage. Kudos Gabi 👍👏👏❤️
I have a huge belief that Hugh (Sir) let Gabi take him in one way or another, if he also didn't plan for that to happen, just to be near her. I also have a feeling that the unknown heat signature that was seen near her home wasn't an extra police officer, but was Sir sneaking out of the basement to make the sightings being reported about him, himself, before sneaking back into the basement just to spook Gabi, as someone elsewhere has theorized.

Sir is truly sick in the head… that scene where he made Gabi tell him she loved him… I died a little 😥😥😥… his manipulation never ends, and she falls into his mental/emotional traps every time… smh
While I'm not defending his actions, after this last episode, it was truly sickening to see how even just one parent can destroy so much of the sanity, self-love, and goodness a person can have inside, just because they're in charge of having to raise them. I would love to see how in another life Hugh (Sir) would have lived his life, if only his only parental figure, his mother, had given even just a Penny's worth of care and love to him.. As I also wonder what has happened to his brother, and if he did end up killing his mother with that knife he was holding..
I think Sir has been searching for love. I think that is his motive. His mother telling him he is broken and that's why no one will ever love him shows that he has been searching for love. The black lady showing him kindness may have proved to him that he is not unlovable like his mother told him. I also believed that lady died and that's when he took Gabi
Anybody other than me thinks that Sir escapes when Gabi's not there, and then returns? Someone keeps lurking around Gabi's house because Zeke keeps seeing the body temps captured on the monitor.

I believe those "sightings" of Sir just may have been him. I think he escapes and then comes back because he wants to be there with Gabi. Two week in a row we saw Zeke looking at body temps of someone around Gabi's house.
I agree. He allowed himself to be ‘found’ and Dhan helped her get him in the basement.

I LOVE THIS SHOW!! It needs more followers! We haven't even hir the base of the mountain yet ..haven't climbed that far up and I fir sure would LOVE to keep climbing cuz I want background stories . We don't know enough about Zeke yet or why if they find people they can't find Margaret's son or what happened to Dhan in war and more about how Gabi git taken in the first place and most importantly WHO IS SIR? WHATS HIS STORY? DID HE LOSE A KID AND START KIDNAPPING OTHERS? WAS HE TAKEN AS A CHILD? WHAT MADE HIM THE HANNIBAL OF FOUND??? I will say though, Mark Paul got hotter with age🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
While I agree with you on that last part.. I have to wonder how you haven't seen the latest episode yet, how quite a bit is shown about Hugh (Sir's) background as a child, then a young teen. It explains a whole lot about why he is the way he is, and brings up some more crazy questions and theories about that time in his life, but especially what could have happened after..

He (Sir) feeds off of the treatment she (Gabi} gives him, it reminds him of his mother that treated him badly.
I think Gabi also reminds him, or he feels mentally and emotionally triggered somehow, to believe that Gabi can also provide some comfort to his lack of belief that anyone could love or even care about him, except for that woman who treated him so kindly who visited Hugh (Sir) in his home and fed him, when he was a teen.
Yes I forgot about the women who came and fed him. While his Mother was finding ways to take his food from him.

Damn! Sir, is one sick puppy. if Gabi leaves him, or turns him in. He'll kill Lacey. Shows how strong and powerful" his obsession with Gabi is. Sir, will destroy the person. Gabi loves" more than him. To keep her bound to him. Controlling dangerous psychopath. This show is compelling ❤

Bella (Lacey) was always just a companion for Gabi, never someone that Sir ever really cared about like how he cares about, is obsessed with, Gabi. He was also in complete desperation here. He was willing to threaten to take away what he knew was highly important to Gabi, just to stay with her, and for her not to give up on him. Or so he says.. In the next episode..
He's just manipulating Gabi yet again because he knows she cares about Bella. He's wants to stay there and will use fear to control Gabi.
I like this show but I can never stay up to watch it in real time -- do I read the recaps with my morning coffee.🧡❤️💯
I watched it all on Peacock...It's worth the Binge, the way the flash backs and interactions with Sir are woven into each case is well crafted and makes the basement scenes more meaningful that just watching the clips.
I don't think he has a father's love for Gabby it's so much more. When he said he would kill Lacey, you could see it. The way he made her say I love you. Thats not parental love.
I agree. It's a completely different type of affection. It's not parental but not quite romantic. Maybe just manic obsessive, but also he seemed to really care when she had her mental breakdown. I love the complexities
I think he was testing her to see how far she would go to protect Lacey, and when he realized that she was Gabi's weakness he used it.
I think it has evolved to romantic. If you are jealous of an adult woman sleeping with man. I don't see how that's fatherly. Now maybe it started as parental him teaching her and choosing what books to read. But somewhere down the line it changed. Perhaps when he was stalking her for all those years
Yep -- I think Sir has developed romantic feelings for Gabi -- but in a dark, unhealthy and twisted way. Also Sir is a malignant narcissist -- basically he is phucked up -- and clearly some of that stems from his childhood. I would not be surprised if he caused harm to his mother.😳🤔

In an upcoming episode, Sir mentions to Gabi how the day they are at, marks their one year anniversary of being together in Gabi's house, like how they also had hit a one year anniversary mark when he had held her captive in the home he had them staying at, when she was younger.
I also think he let himself get captured by her, just so they could be close to each other once again.
Sir kept Gabi for 373 Days (1 year and 8 days) she escaped the day Bella arrived. I think we may get our answer to how she captured Sir in Episode 12.
I really love this dynamic between sir and gabi I really hope we have more seasons to continue to see it continue to switch and I really hope that gabi sceret of keeping sir doesn't come out for a while because I love the dynamic between ok yes it's twisted but still I love it hopefully it doesn't get canceled and we have alot seasons because I really love these the hate and love there.

I don’t watch this show, and haven’t because of the premise that I’ve read. I watched this clip because I like both actors. However it just reiterated to me that I probably won’t watch the show. Not trying to be shady, or hate anything. It’s just one of those things that makes my skin crawl, which I guess is maybe the point.
It's a really good show, that's mostly about the missing people Gabi and her team searches for. The scenes with Gabi and Sir gives Gabbi's character depth and shows here motivation for what she does. The whole team has interesting back stories, I hope they elaborate on in season 2.
