YourDyno Universal Tach Pickup. MSD 8918. Works for most engines and dynos!

Nice cheap option for adding a versatile tach input to any datalogger, dyno, tachometer.
I was happy to see that it worked on GM HEI, BMW COP, Commonrail Diesel(bosch), Old school VW. Anything with a coil driven injector or ignition coil!

So i can hook this to the Coil of my 69 Mustang to get signal for a digital tach? Normally i hook a tach to the negative but it doesnt work with my digital one

How do you have the RPM set up in the YOURDYNO? I can read the MSD on the RPM2 gauge, but I can't get that signal to show up on the ENGINE RPM gauge.

leave it to BMW for that kind of comfort emissions stuff. Though every manufacturer is guilty of nonsense similar to this.
