I remember a while ago reading online either Word Of South or O Zone magazine, that Bun B was the one that shown B.G. how to structure a 16 Bar verse. Before that he pretty much had runon verses.

Remember B.G. got Cash Money their initial Universal deal. Baby and Slim always messed with UGK. Bun B was the only non Cash Money artist to be on all of CMR's albums pre 2000 (Second wave of Cash Money Records). I have wondered why Baby and Slim never signed any non New Orleans artists to CMR pre 2000.

I think it goes back to what Bun said to where Cash Money had a plan and since they had money they didn’t need to deviate from it. Also Baby probably realized it would be a lot harder to control and manipulate an out of town Artist. It’s a big part of his MO, and they may not have been in a position to do that at the time. Obviously history shows that they did get big enough and coupled with his gained knowledge he was able to eventually get in a position to control and manipulate out of town artist.

The mid 1980's is when Dancehall started popping in NYC, & it ended around 1995 for Black Americans in the city
Dancehall got big in the states in that time cause that's when Black Immigrants started coming to the states in large numbers, & Jamaicans were the first to come here in big numbers(around 200,000) in the mid-late 1970's from the political war that was happening in JA. Houston had the Shower posse go there in the late 1980's
