MY PREDICTION IS THAT SHE BLAMES HAWKEYE FOR EVERYTHING AND GETTING NATASHA KILLED, BIG ARGUMENT, THEY DESTROY HIS MASCULINITY AND KILL EM THEN THE NEW GIRL (Hailee) WHATEVER, TAKES UP HIS MANTLE because that is what phase 4 is all about. Ruining established characters, passing down stupid mantles , genderbending, race-swapping, and subverting your expectations in worst imaginable.
i agree and im mad about it asw well. Phase four so far has legit just been replacing all male characters with "stronger" female versions. In loki, Sylvie completely overshadows Loki, In his OWN SERIES. In wandavision, They play the villain (Wanda) off as the good guy, and they make the "evil guy" out to be evil just because hes a white male, even though he did nothing actually wrong.Wanda also just flat out s**ts all over doctor strange and his established "most powerful user of the mystic arts" and then in the upcoming thor, love and thunder, it seems as if they are going to make thor a female. In other words, i am very angry

Red Guardian was an embarrassment in this movie and is NOTHING like his comic counterpart in the comics he is Natasha's Ex-husband and the Leader of The Winter Guard BUT in Movie he was a Complete Joke, I agree that both Natisha and Yelena killing those people at the prison was the most UNHEROIC & VILLAINOUS thing that both characters have ever done those guards were innocent and had families & friends
And now they are dead as a result of their own actions
To be fair, Yelena Belova was originally a super villain in the comics.

I mean she was subject to the super soldier serum which explains why she ages slower and is in top physical condition

This movie has way too much Shaky Cam, Quick Cuts, and the Comedy is unfunny and obnoxious (that helicopter scene is Cringeworthy), Nobody in this film acts like a Realistic human Being
Because IF they did this movie would have been over, Natasha Should've called out melina for literally mind controlling & kidnapping innocent girls to be turned into Widows, Natasha and Yelena should have snuck into the prison to rescue Red Guardian instead of Creating an Avalanche killing innocent guards, Red Guardian and Black Widow Should've Fought Taskmistress holding their own for a little while UNTIL Taskmistress gains the Upper hand and beats them, It would have been better if they had established that Fakemaster was the Daughter of the REAL Taskmaster (NOT Drakoff) who is somewhere in the MCU who was/is trainer of the Red Room who trained his own daughter in the Red Room to be a Widow BUT due to natasha destroying the Red Room he decided to train her to be the Taskmistress/fakemaster
Itâs depressing that MCU fans are willing to agree with everything Natasha did (including deliberately killing inmates and prison workers) while hating John Walker for killing one person (who is not innocent either).

The prisonÂŽs deaths are a very important point for everything that you say and more. Much more because Black Widow is supposed to be a great superheroine by that point so she should have known better.
Meanwhile, back in Man of Steel they made such a HUGE deal of the destruction Superman made when fighting General Zod. In this case, 2 extremely powerful beings with Zod having the advantage and Superman had barely become that character for such a short time. So itÂŽs not like he had training and experience to do better. Yet, that prison scene happened in Black Widow and NOBODY said anyhing.
I agreed with the end credits scene thoughts. It definitely would have been public knowledge how the avengers brought everyone back and stopped thanos a second time. Clint would have been dang sure to mention Natasha's sacrifice. I wouldn't think he'd be okay with allowing himself to be cast as evil in this way. what he stand to lose from being honest? So Yelena has to already know the circumstances of her death or the other lady is just trying to stir up drama.
The two of them talking about all that stuff in the petrol station was something i thought was really dumb writing.
As Clipped Coin said earlier he served in the army, I want him to know how much I enjoy listening to his breakdowns of fighting scenes and scenes with extras faithfully performing their duty while being killed :))

What people who say "this should have been made 5 to 10 years ago" don't seem to realise is that this exists PURELY for Scarlett Johansson to endorse her replacement. That's all. Marvel did a horrendous job of setting up Yelena belova as the New Black Widow, seriously she murders hundreds if not tens of thousands of people at that prison by causing an avalanche (gleefully laughing) and Natasha is an accomplice to said murder which really destroys her sacrifice in Endgame,

Her character was fine until she murders an entire prison full of prison guards and prisoners, yet the movie wants me to feel sorry for her because of what The Red Room did to her and yet she does crap like causing an avalanche and laughing, Natasha is even worse because she let's her kidnapping mom and dad (malina and Alexi) go even though both should be locked up for their actions/crimes of working for The Red Room.

Honestly I blame the unnecessary humor in Black Widow on Joss Whedon and James Gunn, both men have had their comedic influences on a lot of MCU movies and its really really gotten tiresome
Black Widow was supposed to be a dark and gritty Origin Story of Black Widow detailing her tragic past and the person she was before she met Clint, Fury, SHIELD, and the Avengers BUT instead we get a Post-Civil War that released years later in a Post-Infinity Saga era that was nothing more than setting up Natasha's own sister Yelena belova as the New Black Widow.
I'm going to take a wild guess that with that new Hawkeye show is coming out Yelena is going to murder him because of a misunderstanding and then some diverse character takes over. I just did a "directors" work

I don't excuse this movie's prejudice against men or father figures, but David Harbour (who plays Alexi/Red Guardian) is an absolute deplorable piece of shit in real life and he pretty much was okay with how his character was portrayed in this movie. So, frankly, I couldn't give a rat's ass about Alexi/Red Guardian. All your points still stand though

I Totally agree with you about David Harbour, he was totally miscast as Red Guardian/Alexi and has the worst fake Russian accent in the whole movie
I watched Shang Chi two days ago at home, and it was my first experience watching a 4K movie. I can't tell if it was because of the clarity or not, but the green screen stuff in that was REALLY bad at places. You could see the lighting was totally different from background to foreground actor. I wonder if that and BlackWidow had some different team working on them?
one major difference between the 2 films however is that the fights in shang-chi are actually really good

You forgot to say that the reason she broke her own nose is because she made the bad guy try to hit her a few times in the face but couldn't break her nose. She said something like "since you couldn't hit hard enough I have to do it on my own" or something. That's how I remember it, she could have said it in another way idk.

So if you know about the red room then you must know that Dreykov is the operator/leader and he has put something in the widows smelling/nerve system (idk what you call it so) that stops them from attacking him they can't attack him if the widows smell him so that's why Natasha hit her nose or like damaged her smelling system so that she can attack Dreykov

Black Widow was My favorite female characters in the MCU, what a way to ruin and wasted a good character, altough I didn't like the way they killed her off, I Hope that they let her stay dead and don't bring her back anymore, at least that way they won't be able to ruin her character anymore than they already had done.
Iâm not 100% but... Bucky kills Tonyâs parents-> Tony wants revenge even though Bucky was brainwashed. Itâs only bad when men do it!
I missed those times that the writing has such a complexity and it made sense. Both of them are in the wrong here. Bucky might be brainwashed but he still killed them. Tony is more wrong because he always knew what heâs doing and he knew that Bucky was brainwashed het he still went for the kill because heâs too blinded by rage.
What happens when you give buch of woke political hacks to write your characters. How the massacred task master in to TASK MA'AM. Whatâs also horrendous is the fact that they even made fun of the forced sterilization that black widows get in order to not have a distraction. What was used as a serious subject in age of ultron and an insight of black widowâs cruel world is being played for shits and giggles. Whatâs really dumb is that task wahman isnât mad at Natasha after the mind control was broken. But even if she hated her father, she would still be FURIOUS with Natasha for bombing her to get her father. She would stop at NOTHING to make Natasha pay for doing that to her, for disfiguring her. But no, apparently marvel just wants to hire mostly horrible writers and directors than competent writers and directorsâŠ. At this point Iâm close to boycotting marvel phase 4 and beyondâŠ.
She probably did hate Natasha at some point for a while but got over it because of her father making her go through worse over the next several years.

Would have made more sense if Yelena had been sent to take out Natasha and proves a threat during the movie. Natasha would try to get Yelena to recall the past and Yelena attacks her for it. She would not be freed from her programming until halfway through the movie or near the end so that she can recall her memories after the movie. Kinda like a proper passing of the torch to the new Black Widow. At least it would jive with the comics.

The hand to hand combat training in service proved what you're saying. At 205 lbs 5 /11 I was able to just lay on the female troops and they couldn't move. Other times I would stand up wearing them like a backpack and walk around. The strength differences in real life are there. That is why in MMA you have to be the same weight and men don't cross fight women.
Funny you said that, I was in my MMA training (post army) and a woman half my size was saying that size/strength didn't matter. She had been training for several years more than me but I said I could beat her with only brute strength and no technique at all.

1:11 That last one is why people say the movie coming out when it was set (between Civil War and Infinity War) would have made more sense and made it better, because while all the other problems would be there, Natasha would still be alive and we'd give a shit about what happens to her. Here we know she doesn't die until Endgame so they almost take it as an excuse to bounce her around like a pinball because we know she'll survive it.
Even with the whole genderswapping of taskmaster reveal thing, that's no excuse to romove the more intersting aspects of the character like the limited memory and physical capacity stuff. The lack of dialogue because reveal doesn't make sense either, just use some sorrt of voice modulator that they use to seem intimidating or protect their identity or whatever. CC has it right here, wasted character in a shambles of a movie.
Honestly, endgame would be a good ending for Marvel movies. Or at least to be the last one before a hiatus. There would be time to leave the MCU and for us to breathe a little after the movie and after a while start a phase with minimally decent movies for pure entertainment. Damn, nothing good is coming out lately.

Like with Shang Chi (two films I saw with a family member even though I didnt really want to), I didnt hate this movie. It was a 6 out of 10, but Marvel are capable of delivering 10 out of 10 movies so it is totally unacceptable as an MCU movie. I'm not willing to waste time on mediocre movies just because they have a "Marvel" logo on them. "YOU need to do better."

Freerunners, ultra-runners, mountaineers and freeclimbers, body artists and circus performers as well as olympic skateboarders - and I'm just a slacker. I'm sure L.A. wouldn't do worse, but maybe I'm wrong..

One thing Iâd like to point out(I havenât watched the whole video this may have been covered so apologies if it has) but making the female characters âas good as the menâ(thanks for telling women they arenât good enough as they are, btw) generally includes giving them the WORST characteristics you can get from men and women. so now a âstrong female characterâ acts like a sh*tty person while also supposed to beâŠ.superior to men somehow. Like you donât even give them GOOD qualities. Itâs hard even saying theyâre acting like a man or a woman because uh normal people generally tend to not act like complete garbage.
