Welcome to Alberta. I'm glad you are taking your time finding a place to move into. There are lots of places up for sale in the area as I live south of Edmonton.

Santisha! Wishing you the best in your new endeavor. For a major metropolitan area in Canada, Edmonton is in the top five for affordability.

Avoid North or Central Edmonton. Best option if you want to buy is the South side...depending on your budget. Capilano, Forest Heights. Or...move to Sherwood Park. Very low crime, and it's a closer commute to downtown Edmonton than places in Edmonton

Stuff like: Apply for a new driver's license, Apply for a new health card, change your mailing address to your new address, important personal papers/government docs to have (and any other important tips you can think!)

Can you do a video that is considered safer for families? I have 3 kids and would like to see more inspiring videos with some safer options .
Me and my husband is planning on moving next summer to alberta i am so excited and nervous at the same time , we have 3 children and our dream of buying a home is being crushed more and more each day . I have a sister there and can't wait to reconnect, but i have been so worried that we are going to struggle to get on our feet .
Yeah I hear you! It’s a very scary feeling at first. You’re moving with the unknown of what’s going to happen or what is it going to be like. Maybe rent first for a bit before buying a home, this way you understand the cost of living and compare it to your savings. If you’re doing well in Ontario then you will def be fine financially in Alberta. My rent for a 2 bedroom condo is $1400. I was paying $2000 for a one bedroom in Ontario, trust you will be alright. I pray for strength and many blessings for you and your family 🙏🏾 you got this!!
what's the safe, inexpensive rental areas? how did you decide on the area?
I went on tik tok and typed “safe places in Edmonton” looked In The comments, msgd a few people to see what areas are safe. Then I started looking for places to rent based off that.
