    In this video I take you along with us as we Hydro-Frack a well for another Well Driller and perform a pump test afterwards to measure the GPM (production) of the well. Along with that we were hired to drill another Well roughly 1000ft away on the next lot. This Video is a comparison between a 400ft Well that was dry & Hydro Fracked & a 600ft well that made water naturally. If you ever hire a Well Driller, don't search for the cheapest price!

    That was interesting. I remember My dad and grandfather using dynamite but that was back in the 30s 40s 50s and 60s. I remember my dad telling a story that the main boss showed up on the site and took over. Back then we we had to pull the pipe back up to well so not to be destroyed, you left the drive clamps leave them on the drill stem and raise them a few feet above the top of the casing. Harlan lift the drive clamps right on the top of the casing. Dad said when he put the wire to the battery the drill stem, came, right out a the casing to the end of the cable and right across the roof at the new house dad said Harlan never said a word. Just got in his truck and left.

    A friend sent me this video on drilling down. Thought I would share my knowledge as a master of divining. Certain areas, if you drill down deeper you will hit salt water as in the state of CA. Each area has a limit for drilling before you hit an area which can contaminate your water source.
    This apparently is working for the areas which they are drilling. Wishing you best of luck on your endeavors.
    If the original well water is NOT on a live stream. There is a possibility that amount of water will not increase. Reason I became a dowser, our well was one not drilled on a live stream.

    I find it interesting about the numbers of water per day.
    I live on a spring, and my holding tank is 500g.
    Depending on the time of year, I can fill that tank in an hour, or it can go dry. I only use the water for household things, and when it gets dry outside, we watch our usage.
    After being dry and then getting a good rain, it takes about 10 days to fill the tank on our usage. I did find a low-pressure gas gauge, 0-50 PSI, that I use to monitor my tank. 22 psi is full, and 20 is almost empty.

Would it maybe have been better to drill the NEW 600' hole first, get the result then just going to the 1st OLD Hole and drilling That to a similar depth and save the money of the Hyro-Fracking and get an even better result ..... ????? ..... :-) :-) :-) From the Vidclip it looks like the NEW 600' well was a given irrespective .... If the customer has the money to spend, yes that would be the best solution. But without drilling the other Well, we didn't know what to expect. We could have drilled to 600ft & had a similar well as the one we Fracked, then the customer spent another 4k vs the other 400ft well. It's all hindsight, the video ls show what we know (after the fact) and I provide context to it all. But at the beginning, we don't know what we'll find under the ground

    • @PlanetaryDefense

    I came across your videos about a year ago, searching tracking, not exactly how I thought it was done.i sure would love to have you frank one of my wells in South Carolina. I own a community water system currently serving 38 homes here on Lake Murray. I recently drilled 2 new wells, 700' & 450', just about to get them online hopefully. My original 2 wells pumping around 25gpm ea had system approved for 70 taps, 1996, since then we'll 1(1982) began pumping less and less in 2012-13 or so to the point in 2015 it was sucking air after about 5min. There weren't but about 26 homes then running on one well for 8 years now. New construction new homes have taken their toll on this well. Of the 2 new, 700', test pump set at 300' 24hrs pumped 20,000 gal recovery after 3hrs was 50gal, 12hrs 700gaj 1gpm. I know I was there at 400 when drilling and dit quit hammering and pushed/fell about 15'-20' and blew a bunch of black water out. Maybe there is another 20k gal down there, I believe it will be worth dropping pump that far to see. Well 4 he left rig over weekend , said rock caved in so he put a 4" sleeve in that well I started 24hr test a little less aggressively than the othe and ended up at 16gpm. Sorry for tge sorry. Appreciate what you do, if in SC with your rig, I'll take to catch some striped bass. On another note if you've got a link to purchase a wireless pressure switch controller. I've found radio relievers that work with remote but I need automatic transmitter side. 500' through the woods. Thanks Wright

    8:50 actually, liquid definitely does compress... it just doesn't compress enough to make any difference in most (but not all) applications. Once you get into a few thousand PSI, compressed water starts storing a tremendous amount of energy. Needs to be a relatively large volume of water to pose a significant safety risk, because the ratio of the compression is relatively small. For example, in the case of the Titan submarine that imploded, the 'spring back' of the compressed water at that depth caused the water to rush into the sub at a speed faster than the speed of sound, much faster than it would have if water did not compress.

    • @h2omechanic
      @h2omechanic  Před 10 měsíci +3

      The air in the sub is what was under that load & popped the end caps off due to the CF deforming & the Titanum ends didn't flex. But I agree, water under pressure does Store energy, but you can't fit 101gal in a 100gal barrel without the barrel expanding. You may be right, im no hydroligist, but that would mean hydrolic systems would act spongy. Hell idk. It's just what I've always be told

    • @BobBob-nr1zt
      @BobBob-nr1zt Před 10 měsíci +2

      @@h2omechanic It's difficult to visualize because we never work with such high pressures in our daily life, and even when we do work with high pressures, we can't really 'see' what's going on inside the system. However if your 100 gallon barrel is strong enough to hold 6000 PSI, then you can actually stuff almost 102 gallons into it, without any expansion of the barrel... As you can imagine, if you open a large port hole on a 100 gallon barrel that is holding in 102 gallons... the sudden expansion of the water out of the port hole is gonna be very violent!
      From the Wikipedia article titled "Properties of water" it says: "The bulk modulus of water is about 2.2 GPa. The low compressibility of non-gasses, and of water in particular, leads to their often being assumed as incompressible. The low compressibility of water means that even in the deep oceans at 4 km depth, where pressures are 40 MPa (5800 PSI) there is only a 1.8% decrease in volume."

    • @BramBiesiekierski
      @BramBiesiekierski Před 10 měsíci

I have always been under the impression that a submersible pump lasts longer when pumping into a holding tank than into a pressurized booster tank with the constant on/off. Up front it costs more but in the long term with less well pump issues/replacement, it's cheaper. Your opinion? Thanks for posting these videos!

      @@h2omechanic SOgg "Granite Gneiss - Poorly foliated; interlayered with biotite augen gneiss" Some lots in the community hit water some don't. Seems maybe like dumb luck that some hit a fracture and some don't?, but wonder if hydrofracking can create or extend a fracture or if it only manages to blow out sediment in an existing flow path.

    Hello I need advice. I replaced the pressure pump. Now the Well pump is cycling on and off about every minute or so. I fixed the leaks. The pressure pump has no pressure.And the well pump is still cycling on/off.

      @misterdubity3073 Před 10 měsíci +1

      I believe the PVC casing only goes down 25 feet or so; the pressurized sleeve was at 50 feet. The pressure is high from the sleeve down. So the PVC casing was not under pressure. Cheers.

    I know absolutely nothing about wells and fracking, but my monkey brain tells me that the sediment you forced out of the cracks is still there and there's a chance it'll just clog up again over time. Wouldn't it be beneficial to not just force water down, but then reverse and force it up to actually remove the loosened stuff?
    I don't know, I'm just thinking out loud, but if you had a really strong pump at the bottom while fracking, and run it with the packer still inflated (after the fracking), it would create a negative pressure, increase the natural flow rate of the water and actually flush out any loose stuff?

    • @nicholastrawinski
      @nicholastrawinski Před 10 měsíci

      your talking about pulling a vacuum, and a perfect vacuum would only be a 14.7 psi effort AT BEST. Plus real vacuum pumps dont like dirty well water, and an over sized shop vac type system would only get you something like a 5psi differential at best.

    • @janosszabo98
      @janosszabo98 Před 10 měsíci

      @@nicholastrawinski Not at all. I said put a pump down the well, as you normally would, while the packer still in place inflated.
      The point is not to pull a vacuum, I never said that. What I'm saying is literally the same thing as fracking, but in reverse. You create a plug (with the packer), and force the water out of the well. This creates a suction in the veins, and the water wouldn't just trickle into the well as it normally would, but it would rush in and carry the sediments with it and removed from the well.

    • @nicholastrawinski
      @nicholastrawinski Před 10 měsíci +3

      @@janosszabo98 if you put a pump in the well, plug the well shaft above so air cant get in, and then start pumping the water out, that's a vacuum.
