Squaring both sides
x²=3+2×1.41
x²=5.8

First find the value of a+1/a by using the formula (a+1/a)^2 = a^2 + (1/a)^2 + 2(a)(1/a) .. you will get (a+1/a)^2=100 .. then (a+1/a) = plus minus 10 ... then use the formula (a+1/a)^3 = a^3 + (1/a)^3 + 3(a)(1/a)(a + 1/a) .. then you will get your answer .. if the problem still persists, then please do let me know..
