Play Foden as a 10 and Bellingham as a 8 that's the only way you get to play Saka, Foden and Gordon. Yaya Toure scored over 20 Goals playing as a 8 it's all about the system and roles not the formation plus, Foden will assist and score more playing as a 10 than Bellingham who loves to come deep and get the ball.

Don't know how people can't realise that Rice, Bellingham, Foden is more of an attacking side than Rice, Trent (Gallagher), Bellingham. Playing Bellingham a little back, still allows him to get forward, but putting Foden in the mid allows you to play another attacker in Palmer/Gordon

Huuum I disagree with some of the analysis today. You can experiment during the tournament. You can also play players out of their regular position.
In 2018 Deschamps put Matuidi on the left wing in the middle of the tournament although he's never done that before and they ended up winning. That was the only time in his career Matuidi played left wing. He was also playing Pavard right back when he was never playing there with his club.
Trent can play in midfield, I don't see why not. He just had a bad game yesterday but that not the manager's fault
Trent can shift with Kyle a game or two... same goes with Palmer and Saka. That central midfield pairing should be Rice and Mainoo/Gallagher. Midfield Trent is a failed experiment

Bellingham can't be wasted for only doing dirty work in defensive midfield like Flex said because in England team the most effective player is Bellingham and he rarely missed any chances given in front of the goal. England have other aggressive midfielder, why don't use them rather than sacrificing England chances to score goal?
Or Flex perhaps want to give Foden more chances in next game that no matter England score the goal or not, win or lose as long as Foden get up from his nightmare. If that is the case then England should not play in the tournament at the 1st place because play in tournament is to win trophy and not player trial. If that player perform badly then bench him in next game, as simple as that.
Don't forget tournament football is not the same like league football. In tournament you are not allowed to make a mistake or even perform miserably. In league that is different when one game miserable does not count much and bad player can be try for many games until he wake up.
