I really appreciate this content. CSS is such a cool tool these days with all of the effects. I implemented this on one of my own sites using leaves for fall. It is awesome.
I tried changing the z-index as well as rotate some of the leaves but I couldn't get it to work. I think it has to do with WordPress though. Thanks for your video.
In my edit below my leaves fall but when I add z-index it fails to go behind content and the rotate has no effect also. Just curious.

for the animation delay, add negative seconds like -2s -1s -3s -4.5s -3s -6s -7s
so they are already start when you load the page.

change where it says .bubbles {bottom: change that to top} and at your @keyframes change 100% transform to 80vh instead of negative (-80vh),
