  • ■ Nico Hulkenberg’s move to Sauber has started the domino effect of the 2024 silly season, and it seems like we are going to see a rookie in the sport from 2025 onwards! Bearman’s amazing debut with Ferrari has left quite an impact on the sport and his amazing talent is likely to be further exploited in Haas under the new leadership of Ayao Komatsu. However, with Haas’ recent bad history with rookies, is this the smartest move that the American squad can go for, and more importantly - how will this translate on the future of Magnussen, who has been under heavy scrutiny for his lack of performance compared to Hulkenberg?

    The last two HAAS rookies could barely complete a lap without crashing, Bearman finished a whole race first try. He's definitely worth the gamble.

      ...in the second best car, where he literally battled no one except Tsunoda in a POS VCARB for a few laps. Bearman also has all of 2 points in F2. The only thing going for Bearman is that Ferrari and Haas literally have no one else in the pipeline.
      Will he get the seat? Probably. Does he deserve it? Most definitely not. But F1 has never been about who deserves a seat.

      Your comparing apples to orangers those cars of the rookies in question were horendous to drive. Now that the car has improved by leaps you say this rookie is proving to be better of course he is the car is so so much better. We kéep thinking that drivers who are good all of a sudden stop knowing how to drive when they are given a bad car.

    Bottas should be Ollie's partner at Haas, KMag hasn't shown enough to warrant another go in the seat. Bottas' knowledge could be vital to helping Ollie grow on the fly in the midfield

    I think F1 needs to give drivers from other countries more chances imo, so next year we will have Lewis, Russell, Norris, Albon (yes I know he races under Thai flag but he’s born and breed in UK) and now Bearman!!!!! That’s a qtr of the grid made up of Brits.

    • @LeTon75
      @LeTon75 Před 19 dny +5

      @@greywind243 I think it's disgusting that in 2024 that one country especially the likes of the British can dominate a sport that's meant to be a World Championship. It's a bit like the NBL World Series in the States.
      Yes you are correct most of the top teams are based in the UK, but most stay purely for the tax breaks and benefits they get.
      The teams should be made to be based in the country of the owners or country of origin imo.
      So RedBull should be made to relocate to Austria or Malaysia, Alpine can sod off back to France, Aston I guess Canada, Mercedes march back to Germany, Williams can go sail across the pond to the US.
      The only British team is Mclaren now.

    • @verynormalman
      @verynormalman Před 19 dny +3

      It's a sign that British people are better drivers than anyone else in the world. It's probably because we drive on the correct side of the road, whereas most of the other countries, drive on the wrong side of the road.

    Sauber shouldn’t forget their own. They have a junior program and Pourchaire did well. So maybe Theo and Nico for 2025? I guess Nico could be a great mentor for Theo. Similarly I could see Bottas at Haas next to Bearman. For Zhou, well he wasn’t the worst, but I’m afraid his time is up.

    IF Toto had his head screwed on straight, he would hire Bottas asap, they know him and he knows the team, they could work hard on a true rebuilding year. Valteri was nipping at hamilton's heals for many years, scoring major points and wins in the best car on the grid and being next to the previous untouchable driver Hamilton. Get the big names out of your head Toto and smell the coffee. get Bottas back in Mercedes NOW!

    I'm an all time HAAS fan, better or worse, predominately bad of late. Also a big fan of Guenther! But, turn the page, move forward. I'm certain Guenther is much happier, Team HAAS should be happier and I've become a huge fan of Nico. I'm saddened by his departure, as I thought he would be the one to stay....damn. He's been an F1 whipping post and undeservedly so. I think he's proven beyond any doubt he can even make a piece of shit pretty fast and perform above the capabilities pf the car.

    The only good thing about Bearman signing with Haas is that Guenther won't be there to harass and berate him, so he has an actual chance (slim though it is) of developing.
    If he tries to be competitive with their craptacular car, he's likely to end up crashing, just as Mick did when Guenther was riding him like a rented mule.

    It was a solid drive, that's it. He wasn't quick. He brought the car home in one piece. Can we PLEASE raise the bar a bit for F1 drivers?
