Food Plot Screening Strategy Using Switchgrass

One of the most predominant hunting/habitat improvements I make on our farm is to add screening to our property. I screen everything from food plots to bedding areas to access. You can never add too much screening to your property. We want the deer to feel as secure as possible on our land. In this video, I discuss my strategy behind adding some switchgrass screening to a food plot. Switchgrass is one of my favorite perennial screening options.

Are you just seeding on top of the ground? Cultipack ?

Just seeding right on top. You can cultipack it as long as the ground isn't muddy/wet.

How deep do you have your edges on the food plots??

It really depends. My norm is 5 to 10 yards but sometimes I'll alter the edge some if I'm trying to guide movement by a stand
