Three Minutes to Nuclear Doomsday with FBI Agent Joe Navarro

  • Imagine tangling with a spy who eventually succeeded in making the US defenseless against a nuclear attack.
When former FBI agent Joe Navarro, an expert in analyzing body language, embarked on a routine assignment in August 1988 to interview “person of interest” Roderick James Ramsay regarding his association with a known traitor, he couldn’t know that it would be the beginning of an all-consuming battle of wits at the highest level.
In connection with his new book, Three Minutes to Doomsday, Navarro will share his personal memories of being pitted against Ramsay, an ex-soldier whose high IQ and photographic memory allowed him to soak up top-secret information and sell it to the Soviet Union without leaving a trace.

We Cuban refugees should be very proud of Mr Navarro’s accomplishments. It was that particular generation that came to this country penniless and with hard work and sacrifice reach for the stars and lived the American dream. Miami was a sleepy town that the Cubans turned into a thriving metropolis.

...the reason, however, is likely the version he was allowed to print had to fill large gaps that USIC redacted after reviewing his book transcript so he filled it with non-factual garbage....or his editor advised him to dramatize and simply the story for sales

If you listen, he's talking about customs. He's talking about someone at customs getting suspicious about the Disney films and trying to watch them. I really doubt that the customs people anywhere on the planet in those days had video tape players where they could spend time watching films people were carrying across borders, just in case they had something illegal on the film. A Disney film seems fairly innocuous when you're crossing borders and might have your luggage searched. Microfilm, on the other hand, might raise a little suspicion if you were stopped and searched.

Plan 10-1outlined the specific German towns to be sacrificed in the event an armored Soviet war game turned towards the German border: They would be tactically nuked as a first response and the Soviet KGB agents involved received The Order of Lenin from Kruschev who also received daily briefings.on the operation. The Bader Meinoff Gang was a result of the anti American sentiment that ensued from revealing it. This espionage occurred at a NATO bunker in Orly, France outside of Paris in the early1960’s. An entire American family was destroyed by the fallout from that case. It wasn’t fair to them and the price is still being paid.

@@ChrisMcDonough Do your homework dude. Read up on ADM's (SADM / MADM) and the US 'Green Light Teams' and Engineering Troops stationed in Germany who had Atomic Demolition Munitions as their speciality. I have personal knowledge about this equipment and can guarantee you this is no 'BS'. I actually know exactly what he's referring to when mentioning "Permissive Action Links" in this context. These ADM's were equipped with a very simple mechanical lock - with a numerical code, both on the device and the OPTIONAL remote detonation transmitter. (the primary fusing was done by a simple mechanical timer setable typically up to 12 or 24 hours depending on device type). Besides the numerical code there was an explosive PPG (Pulsed Power Generator) for the firing system, which could be removed from it's storage location under the 'front cover' to make the device 'safe'. This could relatively easily have been substituted with another power source or even a DYI PPG since the firing unit itself didn't need any precision to accomplish implosion. I'm a former Combat Diver - active 1986 - 1995 and I've had 'hands-on' training with these party poppers. To my knowledge, all these ADM's are now dismantled. When they were inventory, their existence were kept secret - at least by my unit, since they were HIGHLY attractive because of their size and (lack of) safings. Some sinister and crafty individual could "easily" have gotten hold of a number of these. It would have been on the same difficulty level as a decent vault robbery with hostage taking for access. Therefore their existence and storage locations were kept on a need to know basis.

During military exercises (e.g. after Able Archer 83 with preventive nuclear strike, Soviets were shitting bricks, and total war against Russians was a reality as World Wars showed) NATO played psycological operations, (let's push russinas one step further). To understand, if it is a actual preparation for attack, or again PSYOPS with codes changing, nuclear bombers flying, leaders hiding in bunkers,) etc it was necessary to know where are western leaders with authority to launch nuclear rockets (babequing, office working, or hiding in bunkers), how prepared are personell to launch rockets (drinking beer with schnapswurst, or ready to live post apocalysis). Sometimes, he is slurring his words, I cannot understand the word(s) he is saying and then immediately after that he is shouting the next words. They should have had someone else telling this story!
