I just bumped into a video on root shadow of yours and have since gone through other videos you have created. You are an incredible teacher with all things hair. You explain things so well that comprehension can take place. Yes there are many talented stylists that create videos for professionals as well as diy and they do a good job but in my opinion, yours exceeds any that I have watched ( and I’ve watched a lot over the past few years). Well done and I hope you continue to add more to your collection. Even making new content on topics you have previously made would be cool.
I’m late to this video but love it! I was looking for a very mild version of curtain bangs, I just made the smaller triangle and kept the overall length longer. Also I like your explanation of keeping it disconnected. While that was the look I was going for, it looked a bit too much like a stair step, so I tried to blend it the way you showed blending into fringe layers. My technique is not perfect by a long shot but overall it’s the look I was going for! I have never even been able to explain it to a stylist, so it was great that you explained it well enough to do myself! I also point cut into my curtain bangs since it looked more blunt on my thick hair than I wanted. Thanks so much, can’t wait to check out the rest of your videos! ❤❤❤
Watched a gillion times. Took all day trying. Ended up w longish bangs sorta. Not curtain bangs. Either my hair isn't compatible or more hair was required. It got nerve wracking. You seam a very nice person. Appreciate you n your content. Thx

This is the exact length I wanted. I play sports so I need to be able to put them behind my ears incase they are in the way too much. This was perfect. Not sure if I trust myself doing this but I’d rather do it than have someone else do it 😭😭

I finally did the cut and I love it. i started off with cutting less bc i did do a mistake at first but the second time I cut more and it came out how I have always wanted. ❣️ 💇🏻♀️

May I mention she did not section my hair or anything. What about if you don’t wear your hair in the middle but you still want a “curtain bang” type bang, so when you try to cut a long bang it ends up looking like you just have a shelf type bang?
I don’t trust myself doing this 😭 but if I were to go to a stylist, what would I tell them to achieve this exact cut?
I think every good Stylist should knew what Curtain Bangs are,so you can tell hin/her you want a Curtain bang. I always do a Screenshot or Download a photo when I want a Special Cut and don't know how to explain. So the Stylist really can see what you want even If you can't explain it. Maybe you can do a Screenshot from the result at the end and then you show this to the Stylist. ☺️

You're a licensed hair stylist so I thought I'd ask, I want to have flowly layers or at least some nice, face framing curtain bangs but my hair is extremely long and fine, it's not thick at all. It's also naturally STICK straight. So my question is, how will my face be framed with these bangs or layers if it doesn't curl under to frame my face? Will it just look stupid since my hair is so fine and straight?

So face framing layers and even the curtain bangs can look pretty on long straight hair. It can add movement and dimensions with color and highlights . You can always use a curling iron or even a flat iron to create a subtle flip towards the inside to create volume and body. I hope this helps
