  • If you have visited a tea shop or thattukada in Kerala, you might have seen this snack stacked neatly in the glass shelf. Savala Vada is also known as Mulaku Vada in some places. Few people call it as 'Ulli Vada' but, there is another snack (watch now: • Ulli Vada (Onion Fritt... ) with the same name.
    How is Savala Vada prepared? Sliced onions are mixed with maida, asafoetida, green chillies, ginger, salt to make a thick dough. This dough is then shaped into vadas (doughnut like shape) and fried in oil till golden brown.
