Thanks for a clear and informative video. You are a solid human
You're welcome, thanks for watching!
Great video we just bought the same rig and doing all fluids change 😊
You only went a few thousand miles between changes? For future changes poke a hole in the bottom of the filter to drain it before removal. When you refill pour pour oil in the outer holes so it is filtered vs center hole which is not. Same with fuel filters.
Yes, we only went a few thousand miles that year. Since it's required to change the oil annually or by mileage (whichever occurs first) it was time for this maintenance task. Thanks for the tips.
Hint: Centre punch bottom of oil filter prior to removing drain plug. It will drain slowly while engine is draining. No mess when you unspin the filter.
Thanks for the tip!
10W30 in a diesel?
Yes, the CAT manual specified 10w30 for the temperature and location at the time of filming. It was also heavy duty diesel specific 10W30, we always recommend you check your vehicles manual for your specific application. Thanks for watching!
Mike simple and in lemans term. I will be doing it shortly on my 2006 Fleetwood Excursion. Something I noticed was your cell holder. I have gone to so many models. Does The cell sit tight?
The cell phone sits tight. We bought it several years ago and still going strong. We can't remember where we got it, but its just a suction cup cell phone holder, with a base that we mounted with 3M tape.
Great work from your “partner in crime”
