#HenryMancini - Hudba
I'm 71 and really love this song. I haven't heard it in many years. Thank you
I'm sitting here in tears, heartbroken...always loved this. I was just barely 14 when the movie came out. Now, all these years later I ache for a time long ago.
This song will always remind me of my grandma, it played on her house radio often..she always had music on. Sweet memory 🥲
❤
I'm 72 years & a young boy when this came out. Mega-hit for Mancini, and an absolutely beautiful song! Thanks Henry Mancini for the score & Johnny Mercer for the lyrics!
Autumn Leaves too
You should search JACOB COLLIER doing this live - with the audience singing along - there are MANY videos/versions -- it's so beautiful i had to let you know.
Beatiful music.Only true hearts will understand..
Why only true heart understand......
one of the greatest songs and pieces of music ever written from a golden era that is long gone but not forgotten.... as a young child this was magical and full of hope, and now in my older years it sings a memory i so long for again.
Yeh, I have it on my playlist
And I just love it
I imagine dancing at my wedding with the man I wanted to marry, but he was never interested in me.
It truly is a Beautiful song
Blessings ❤🎉
@@hims12 i hope you still found happiness... i seen my mum and dad dancing to this at balls when i was little... they stayed together all their lives. kind of the fairytale story. both had the same birthday but 5 yrs apart. married for 64yrs till my dad passed last year at 90... this song reminds me of him and how we'll all be crossing Moon River in style one day... i hope my dad is that huckleberry friend, waitin' round the bend for me when i get there.
In an ad for downloading a Bible this song was playing in the background so I looked it up to listen to it . great music from yester-year
This was one of my mom and dad's favorite song. When I hear it I just want to cry
because I miss them so much.
They are still dancing to this song.
Just on the other side
Blessings and Love ❤🎉
Me too. Me too.
Henry Mancini was truly a genius.
There are just some songs that just whisks you away from reality...this is one. It somehow leaves you behind when it ends. Beautiful.
One of the most perfect comments that I’ve ever seen ❤ put the way I feel each time I hear it. Thank you!
I can't help but see her Beautiful Face whenever i hear this.
Rest in Peace Sweet Holly
One day I’m going to dance with my love with this lovely song .. 🌙 moon river💋🫂

I have been In love with someone who doesn't want me, for years.
And when I hear this song I always picture him and I at our wedding dancing

Timeless.
I first heard Moon River in 2022 because it was part of the Blue Devil’s show that year and I still view that as one of the best versions of this piece and one of the best ballads in DCI history
As I type this I was watching Dancing With The Stars Tribute to the Judge who passed away after his retirement from the talent dance show the emotions I viewed. Moon River is a beautiful song I heard on Easy listening station in New York City WPAT Easy 93. I will always treasure this gem of a song. 🎶🎼
same with me! it was breathtakingly beautiful! i couldn’t stop crying!
I’m here for this too
that tribute has been on my mind all week, it was captivating, Len would've loved it! ♥ I love that the OG pros came back!
Creo sinceramente que esta es una de las canciones más bonitas de todos los tiempos.

Surely lots of wonderful things about those years, but terrible and scary things too. The world only feels different 'cause we're older

@@JackAShepherd nah, locked doors came in the 90s, the hood had changed by then, I'd long left home, the serial killers, if we had any, operated in sparsely rural areas, we have a few unsolved murders here in NZ, but nothing like USA, Blighty, Europe

There is a lovely scene from an old "Sex and The CIty" episode where Mr. Big describes to Carrie how his parents played "Moon River" each time they prepared to go out on a date and as they did so, he watched them get ready. His memory seemed to transport him back to his childhood. I connected with that scene immediately.
I just watched this scene and came searching for the song...
I had already heard it, but by Frank Ocean. I love this song ❤
Ohhhh I love this song! Moon River is great for frazzled nerves.
Wonderful, for ever !❤ Henry Mancini
Moon River is another perennial fave the the world over. Back in 1961 it was on the top 10 of the Hit Parade and sung by Danny Williams. Later versions by Connie Francis, Andy Williams and Matt Munro were all greatly appreciated. This hit from Breakfast at Tiffanys will never die; even Audrey Hepburn's cute version in the film was very sweet.
This quiet, contemplative piece was Top 10 in 1961. Tells you everything that you need to know about the coarsening of culture in North America in the intervening 60 or so years.
My favourite composition! I love Macini!! Here, Brazil
I just wanted to hear the music that the pros will be paying tribute to Len Goodman. It's such a beautiful song and does make me think of Len. Love you, Len. From me and my family RIP Legend #FromLenThe10
明るさと哀しみの絶妙なバランス。
With “Moon River” playing in the background, I dove off a dock into the Moon River under the light of a full moon.
Amazing how many great songs were written quickly. I remember reading how Mel Torme tinkered together "The Christmas Song" melody in 20 minutes.
Came here after watching DWTS did a wonderful Tribute to the late legend Len Goodman #RIPLen In a kind way -Tana Ngakoti From New Zealand
It's such a beautiful track, thank you for the video adding context ❤❤❤
This is beautiful music for our army and marine Corp.
Hermoso tema. Me trae gratos recuerdos de mi infancia y adolescencia. Gracias. 💝💝💝💝💝
J'ai des frissons à chaque fois que j'écoute cette chanson !❤👍
I love Jerry Butler's virgin of this song, the first virgin after Audrey Hepburn's performance in BAT. Many felt at the time that the BATCAT, played by Orangey, deserved a special Oscar for enduring the ending scene in the pouring rain. Orangey DID win the 1962 Patsy for the role, his second. He had also won ten years earlier for his first role as Rhubarb. The only negative thing about the song is that the melody of Moon River reflects the extreme bigotry of Mancini, in that it was played entirely on the white keys of the piano.
Henry Mancini, a legend. Back when music was music. Its in an episode of All In The Family. Edith, talks about it being Mancini birthday. How Archie took her to see Breakfast At Tiffany's. TV that the Snowflakes would raise hell about all the great shows that Norman Lear has to his credit. Sad we have come to this. I grew up in the 70s and a great time to grow up. My first car was a 76 Pontiac Grand Le Man's. Thanks dad for believing in me. Paid the car note from my grocery store job after school. A beautiful car. Factory 8 track. Thanks for sharing this.
I was just thinking of that episode!! I too grew up in the 70's and love All in the Family and of course Henry Mancini. My mother introduced me to some wonderful music. I always feel her with me when I hear it. I loved Andy Williams from kindergarten, and when he sang this song I melted. I'm 55 now, and it still happens.
@dalemorris7014 I am 64 now. Love Andy Williams too. My dad loved music and could sing. My 28 year old son loved the music from that time. Andy Williams, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Elvis. He went ahead of me and his brother to be with Jesus. A brain bleed. His mom my wife 7 years ago breast cancer. She was nurse. God bless us all. Thanks for sharing.
I am so sorry for your losses. Bless all of you. My dad loved music too, but could not sing... ha ha ha--he was tone deaf, but he'd joke about it. My mother always had the record player going and all the great entertainers from that era. Some of the ones you'd mentioned and Jerry Vale. entertainers like this don't exist anymore.@@williamflack5767
My mom had an 8 track tape called Stardust Memories. This song was on it. 😊

With all its popularity I am surprised that there was never a release of the Audrey Hepburn rendition. Granted she was not a dynamic singer, but she made this one work.
Got the recognition it deserved and became immortal. 🙏🙏

My grandmother took me and my friends on my 12th birthday to see this movie.
My mates and I didn't understand the movie but the big city was a big day for us. 😊
Decades later thousands of miles from home I was standing in front of the Tiffany window.
Donald Trump was next-door and his 'bad movie' was starting.
Chalk and cheese.
People were arguing in the streets.
😂I'd love it ❤
Das Lied erinnert unter anderem auch,an die unvergessliche , liebenswürdige Schauspielerin Audrey Hepburn u viele andere mehr die uns in Erinnerung bleiben sollten , in den Film „Frühstück bei Tiffany“:)
" TWO DRIFTERS OFF TO SEE THE WORLD...." Does that take you back in time ??? Wish you could re-live parts of your life??? Change some things???? Those 7 words can romanticize our lives --what was AND WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN.
A version of this song played in a Little Golden Book audiobook narrated by the late Charity Campbell in the 80's, but I can't remember which one.

I don’t know how to say this right but America used to be so magical, unique and exciting. And this is coming from someone who isn’t American. The American dream was real. Like what happened to the Frank Sinatras that used to come out of there? Where did all the culture go?

Incredible. And BTW today is the 100-th anniversary of Mancini's death.
I know this song because of Gossip Girls ❤
It does not remind me of Russia, the hopeless land of jealousy.
The suffering country that takes it's suffering into its neighbours home.
It reminds me of the best of America, a big river nation.
Can somebody explain me what it means "My huckleberry friend"? I am Russian speaking exploring English. Is it a reference to Huckleberry Finn?
