No worries 😁 Once they're knee high it's like they just grow twice as big one day to the next.. Great varieties you got growing 🙏 The ants are running rampant all over my yard 😭 I can't even water without them crawling all over me.. isn't it interesting that they farm aphids? @@Godisincontrol325 growing sweet corn, I can’t remember the variety. Not off to a good start because over half of it didn’t germinate so I had to plant seeds again over the weekend.
@@Howwerelivingfishing I noticed that if you soak the seeds overnight it awakens them to germinate faster.. Hopefully they start sprouting for you soon 🙏

Well the tassels come out of the top of the plant and the silks come from where the leaves meet the stalk and looks like silk coming out of the top of the forming husk
Hi..I'm growing early golden bantam corn for the first time they have tassels on them but I don't see no silks..how long does it take for silks to appear..thx..I'm in zone 6b and was wondering if you ever prune the suckers on the bottom of the corn as it's growing
Hello.. This is my second time growing this variety and I like the flavor of the corn. Once the tassels start to form I noticed the silks started coming in a week and a half later.. Last year I did prune the suckers and this growing season I didn't prune; I noticed when you prune you get less corn but bigger ears, when not pruned you get more ears but smaller.. my corn isn't even knee height yet. I am growing Asian waxy/glutinous corn this year as well as sweet corn. The ants might be farming aphids.

I’m trying my second attempt at corn this season. Last season we put it in way late and it didn’t get to full size because it was lost to weather.
