I can’t believe how hard Nintendo dropped this game.
and why.
Yes!! I just really hope it's bc they are working on a new one to release with the Switch 2.0. Having a bigger map and more buildings, maybe even more terraforming options would be awesome. In highly decorated areas you can notice they are somewhere close to the Switchs capacity atm.
Buut it's really more dreaming than actual hope.
Please new new animal crossing game with release of Nintendo new console in 2025. I would love it
Splatoon 3 was why they dropped it.
i blame all the ppl posting deviant crap thru the dream suite and on twitter with their fan accounts- it's a game for kids, not a medium for divulging sicko fantasy.
I honestly will never forgive Nintendo for not putting the Zelda, Splatoon, and Monster Hunter-themed villagers in New Horizons. What I wouldn't give to have them on my Island. Bob's Gang.

I'll never understand the lack of love Nintendo have for this game, given some of the crap they back hard.

I think it's the relaxing game I have autism and when I think of the game I get so exited for some reason like I relly love it so much my favrit game ever

@@ShinySonic no literally they have no reason not too, and it's a slap in the face when they collaborate with companies...they just as bad as ea and they've made pocket camp into a big cash grab too and it sucks because they coulda added those items to acnh using Nintendo online or something 😒
I loved working in the Roost in NL. I had everyone's coffee written down so I got every coffee right. The next AC better have Gracie. Label just doesn't cut it. Bob's Gang
Especially since there's going to be a mall reportedly. Gotta have a Gracie Grace shop in it. ooh, if theu bring back jobs, we could work at Gracie Grace.
Gracie's shop is fine, but if she came back they better tone her attitude down. She angered me enough I avoided going near her whenever possible.
City Folk made me wish there were Nook's Cranny variants with unique options for each store in New Horizons where after you get Nookingtons, after awhile, Tom Nook would ask if he wanted to remodel his store down to previous upgrades based on your preference with each store having its own pros and cons like Nook'n'Go being open extremely late at night but having less items for sale, up to Nookingtons which had the most variety, but the hours of operation were very strict.
Hopefully these abandoned updates get moved to their new Animal Crossing for the Switch 2
There were lots of things from past AC games that could have been added. ZElda, Splatoon, and Monster Hunter villagers, perfect fruit and CT fruit (with DIYs), Museum gift shop (which would be run by Celeste), silver tools (which could have been sold in Celeste's shop) , making the golden tools unbreakable (why was this even changed?), working part-time at the roost, Gracie brand clothing, Flea Market...
The museum symmetry never bothered me until this moment - and now I can’t unsee it!

I’ve been playing for four solid years and I only just finally got the love ❤ reaction. I was actually surprised!
It'd be interesting if some of this stuff was added as like some weird late final update before they move on to the new system. It's a shame rugs don't work cause that should have existed in the game already or at least by now.
I remember saying this in someone's comments section back when people were guessing what would be in New Horizons but there should be an island you can fly to that's a city you can explore. I know there's Harvey's island caravan flea market but it's not as fun after a while. We could have had more islands to explore besides resource island tours like Resetti having a mine you could get stuff from(I know it's a resource but it'd help & give him something to do past a barely used rescue app) but most importantly a city like in City Folk or a bigger main street from New Leaf to explore. More shops & maybe a place to see old faces at, they were able to add Happy Island Designer so why not a city?
This hurts 😔 I would have been especially happy to get the rest of the reactions 😢😢😢
I hope @animalcrossing can add this feature in some next update:
- Change the representative between player profiles
- Change hemisphere by location/GPS: If you are in Argentina, south hemisphere. If you are travelling to Europe, north hemisphere.
- Change the island name without restarting the save file
I still really hope that NH was just an experiment for these new features and thus a precursor to a future mainline AC game where they combine more of the previous titles’ mechanics. Hopefully Nintendo has always been planning to make the next game their flagship, where they can really dig their heels in and implement a schedule for steady updates and features that appeal to not only new but old AC fans.
I'm so mad about the rugs OMG, imagine all the design slots we could have saved 😭

Long story short we got scammed into buying an incomplete game 😢
They didn’t update the game for two years…20 months for 30 million players is criminal. Luckily we have channels like this to keep the game alive!
I feel like COVID is the reason why we weren't able to get everything they wanted to give us. They do have deadlines and the pandemic definitely put a strain on them meeting the deadlines they had set.
What i would have done for the 7/11 items
I really just…feel personally offended they dropped the ball so hard with updates. I hope they stopped to pursue these great things in the next game but I’m still burnt from their lack of interest in this game.
I also assumed something would be put into the right side of the museum, it looks uncompleted as it is. An exhibit for gyroids that you could collect for the museum would be one idea, complete with some music they could jam to.
I'm glad there were no third update to Nook's Cranny. A huge building like in NL would be a poor fit to country side islands like mine! I really like the look of Nook's Cranny in NH, it's smaller and cozy looking. The Emporium fit in well enough on the main street in NL, but I wouldn't want it around the customizable part of any town or island, it's just too huge and flashy.
I wish there had been far more crossover items and characters. They are fun!
Honestly, Animal Crossing New Horizons feels more like a reboot.
A reboot? 😂 A better version of AC with the same boring personalities and dialogue? Honestly, I can see how it is a reboot, but all the villagers have become figurines for our dollhouse island. 😊
My disappointment with Nintendo is immeasurable.

Wouldnt be surprised if they are keeping back content to go towards the new game. Perhaps saw its success and realised they need to boost content and the need to have an Animal Crossing game earlier on in the lifespan of the Switch 2
Though I could just be overly hopeful for the next game
It wasn't mentioned, but only because I think Nintendo didn't seem to care, was the serious lack of online multiplayer content. New Leaf slayed in that department when it came to Tortimer's Island. Being able to meet up with friends or just random people to play some rather fun mini games, smack each other with a toy hammer (still more fun than the net) was so enjoyable. What do we have now? Pretty much the same thing you can find in Wild World.
I've been a day one buyer of animal crossing since New Leaf. If and when a new game is released, I'm going to wait a little while.

With the rugs, to be fair, You can't edit the outside the way you can inside your villager's house, and you can't push the rugs around like other pieces of furniture. So that leaves the only possible way to move them would to be to pick them up and then lay them back out again, which can be a pain.

It's law of attraction, look it up, it's real. If you think of a butterfly without doubting it will come, or just letting things happen naturally just by thinking about it, it will appear. It's the same thing as when you follow your goals and it becomes a reality. It only doesn't work when you doubt yourself. That's why I just go with the flow and let good things happen to me and only think good things nowadays. I used to be so negative and complain so much and now I don't cuz I understand how unhealthy that is. Anyway I'm sorry I went so off topic xD
I just have seen comments like yours so many times that I finally wanted to just say it's law of attraction which is the reason why that phenomenon that you're talking about happens

It is rlly sad that Nintendo didn’t plan on providing any other major updates after 2021. I love New Horizons, but man… I feel like the pandemic was the main factor in why updates were lacking so much. I try to balance playing this game and New Leaf since both games are good in different ways, but I often feel some type of way in doing so knowing what kind of potential New Horizons could’ve had and how overwhelming New Leaf can be
I know it's not happening but id still love a few updates like the introduction of berry bushes with actual harvestable berries. An update that makes it possible for us to assign sound files to our custom paths like puddle sounds when running on puddle codes, metal sound, dirt, snow, concrete, wood.... I no longer have a tropical island but it would have been cool to have the players choose the general climate of their island, i never understood why they made an (island game) with no options to choose if it's temperate or *tropical*, or even arctic. Gettig to swim in our rivers like we do in the ocean would have been cool, and new river critter types (i would have loved to have salamanders and newts). More fruits, tropical varieties in particular to balance out all the temperate ones like the apples, peaches, and pears, why not also introduce bananas, lemons and whatnot like they did with the other games? 50 more custom slots would have been cool, i know we have 100 but still more is always sweet, at least for the regular custom slots that aren't the advanced clothing ones. And since they're going to have different cliff color options like they do in Happy Home, then why not throw that in for our main islands?
Tbh I appreciate new horizons for being new horizons and not Animal Crossing: Ultimate
Its a shame that a lot of common upgrades in Animal Crossing never came to New Horizons. I do hope that New Horizons gets one more update before a new game, just like New Leaf did
The only thing i would want from AC is to move objects in 45° not 90°...it would give so much dimension to decorations. It's something that really bothers me.
Yeah I was wondering why the gyroids were a thing like if Brewster loves them we should be able to give them to him and get prizes for it.
I would like an update on mobility to the outside view to turn Around 👍 just like the inside of the house.

Probably because of the current year? Villagers have fixed dialog anyways, and claimed they wouldn't make any major updates anymore
The game can have dialogue that references the year that you have your Switch set to. The rest of the sentence will be the same no matter what year it is, but the space in the sentence where it would say the year just uses the date set in the system.

I wish Nintendo put the 3rd version of Nooks Cranny into New Horizons, and I really wish they ported over the old Reactions from Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

I won't play acnh until they update it. Sad to say, but nintendo is just being greedy with their other games being updated, and those games IDC, but this game STILL MAKING MONEY.

i truly don't understand why people think there's not enough in this game, but i have 1.6k hours on a single save file and i played daily from launch for 400 days straight so maybe its just me
You’ve never played all the old animal crossing games completely, + you have a low bar for what makes a good/in depth game. Hope that helps :)

There's a good amount of story to do, but after around 60 hours total of main story all you have is decorating, I've had multiple islands in different styles but I know how to take advantage of the game and complete things quicker so another challenge or something new to complete would be good
@@bigman6940 my island's been decorated pretty much the same since 2022, the most recent change i made was probably the crop farm - i do a happy home design maybe every couple of days but i really am just doing my dailies and collecting villager photos at this point tbh

Compared to the old games, new horizons is really underwhelming and missing a lot of content, and in general seems like a bare bones game. Compared to the old animal crossing games, nh feels very sad and surface level, while the older games had depth. Especially for how much they hyped up new horizons, I don’t understand how you can play the old ac games and still think that new horizons is on that same level??

It’s not confirmed but 99% likely as new horizons was so successful and ac is one of nintendos most popular franchises and the developers of acnh still work at Nintendo but we will most likely have to wait until a new console for a new game as Nintendo usually only releases one mainline game per console
