- Perspective is one of the fundamental skills you need to learn to make realistic edits in Affinity Photo. Live filters allow you to apply filter effects such as perspective distortion, sharpening, and noise non-destructively, meaning you can modify or remove the effects without having to use the History panel to undo other operations on your work.

Thanks!
Advanced technique for this: Create an empty document with 1:1 ratio. Place in image in there as placeholder. Save it as an .afphoto file. Now you take the image of your gallery and place that afphoto file, use the perspective filter on it as seen here. What you can do now is just doubleclick on that embedded file and replace the image. It will automatically be distorted. It's like using smart objects in Photoshop. If you use the same photo again and again and want different versions with different artwork in there, that's way faster cause you have the filter only once and can just easily replace the photo.
Indeed embedded documents(smart objects) will turn it into a template where you can easily change the artwork! thanks a lot for the explanation! btw I'm going to cover embedded documents in the upcoming mock-up tutorial ^_^
thanks a lot, that was exactly what I was looking for!!! 🙏🏻
This is such a quick but so useful tutorial! Maybe you do a tutorial on how to do mockups to sell on Affinity photo?
Great video, could you show how you would add the cast light in the bottom right hand corner please?
Hero!!

This isn’t available on the iOS version is it?
Thanks!
