- Two more thing that will make your Onan generator shut off.  Flywheel torque 60lbs belt tensioner 20lbs and coils 5lbs coil gap 3mm but smallest I had was a 4mm and it worked fine. I have pictures from start to finish. I really think this flywheel and coil rusting is everyone shut down problems from the start!

Try running with breakers off see how long it runs and if you hear missing. Because if you have breakers on the generator will shout it off at first miss because power lose.
@@jeffcastellawracing7259 Thanks, mine started by not giving me any power, but would run fine with breakers on or off. trying to trouble shoot it over a couple of weeks and it has just quit running now as well, won't even start and now giving me fuel back through the breather when trying to start it, without even priming it. Kind of at a loss, but going to pull it and if I can't get it sorted I will take it to someone, no local RV places near me work on them and generator places want it out of the RV anyway, so I guess that'll be my next move.
