  • This is a in-depth analysis on which currently sold dart is the best in the major criteria below...
    -Range (this is how far the dart will travel)
    -Accuracy/consistency (can you hit what you aim at)
    -Durability (will the dart last so you can reuse it over and over)
    -Cost (pretty simple there, lol)

    Going to add this here in a pinned comment
    I've tested these darts in a range of more than 50 different blasters, ranging from stock to modded blasters hitting at up to 200 FPS velocities. 90% of what I use is spring powered blasters, so if you're a flywheel blaster fan your experience may vary. I have tested these in a few flywheel blasters, but predominantly in springers.

    Before dismissing the Adventure Force waffle darts you need to do some testing with flywheelers. They are by far the best darts in my high-crush modded blasters. The foam is extremely durable and I have yet to decapitate a dart from firing. They are extremely consistent and I can nail targets 100+ feet away with a Stryfe.

    • @RealBenAnderson
      @RealBenAnderson Před 5 lety +1

      And they are vastly better than Accustrike or Accufake darts.

      I've tested them in a few flywheelers, and they do have fine consistency. I gave them higher marks in my stand alone review of them, but for me the durability is a issue that I can't ignore. I take my channel seriously for what I recommend and when my stash of DZ waffles has a 20-25% failure rate, I just can't recommend them.
      Again, I'm more of a springer guy, so that does have a bearing on my testing.

  • @harbor1214
    @harbor1214 Před 5 lety +3

    Disagree on DZ/AF waffles - in my experience they are extremely precise and durable. I've only had dart destruction from the crossbolt which will eat any dart and never had a head tear off like ekind or accufakes.

    • @MongooseJakeNerf
      @MongooseJakeNerf  Před 5 lety

      I've been testing the waffles for months at this point, and unless my batch I purchased is specifically made from a worse foam, I have a 20-25% failure rate. That's just far too high for me to be able to recommend them. If you're getting good results, awesome! I've heard they work well for flywheel blasters, but I'm far more of a springer guy.

      You're more of a flywheeler guy aren't you? They'd likely do better in them, but decently powered springers are likely to burst those fairly often.

    Good video! I agree with the precise pro being the best but buzzbee has been sitting on this fact for awhile now without doing much about it. That’s where dart zone has outshined them. You don’t have to have the best product to be successful but you need to get that product to the consumer. I hope buzzbee has plans to really push the PPs forward because they are a very high quality product that’s worth more.

    The DZ/AF waffles have been good for most blasters and great in modded flywheelers. They are terrible in sealed breeches or tight barrels. What blasters are you using when getting those tears in the foam?

    • @MongooseJakeNerf
      @MongooseJakeNerf  Před 5 lety +1

      I've tested them in a range of about 50 blasters, going from stock to 200 FPS. 90% of what I run is springers.
      However, as I mentioned in the video, I had a failure just out of the 10 brand new darts I did my firing demonstrations on the video with. The two blasters used in the video were a pure stock Mediator, and a OMW equipped Recon Mk II firing at about 110-115 FPS. To me, that's just not acceptable.

    I haven't seen many precise pros, so once dart zone stops making them, all you will have is the new waffles. I think the dz waffles are good. A few torn darts isn't a big deal. I already assume it to happen. Also, flywheel and springer differs. Precise pros suck in certain flywheel guns and they really suck bc the head is so small compared to the dart. I love them but for that reason, I can't use them in my favorite blaster type or at least one of them, so the dz waffles is currently my top dart. Especially since the only others I have are hard tipped suction darts which is bad for the high crush Brute I'm building.

  • @wyomingindian263
    @wyomingindian263 Před 5 lety +1

    So I figured I would check your claims with springers and the adventure force darts to see if I could replicate the dart tears. I shot 10 darts ten times each out of a tuned down caliburn into my chrono (real one not the crappy Nerf one) hitting a wall 4 feet away. The shots varied from 140-165 (printed ram, no o-ring, older skirt seal ram base, and k25). I did not have any darts get holes in them like the ones you showed. All the darts had their heads in tact as well after the stress test. I am guessing the holes were from the crappy jam fest mediator breech.

    • @MongooseJakeNerf
      @MongooseJakeNerf  Před 5 lety

      I'm glad you had better results, but my testing was pretty conclusive across about 50 blasters, not just the Mediator. I stated in my video, and personally believe that there may have been poor batches shipped out in regards to foam quality, and better batches as well.
      I'm simply reporting my first hand experience with them based on those I've used for testing. I may revisit them again in the future, but for now they remain a product I personally can't recommend.

      @@MongooseJakeNerf you may want to check out this new thread on Nerf Haven. It has a similar issue to yours. I am not sure what 50 blasters you tested your darts on and if they are modified but the part about high peak pressures is interesting. nerfhaven.com/forums/topic/28396-dart-foam-is-cracking-but-the-heads-are-not-blowing-off-help-please/

    Cool video.
    Did you know you can buy the Adventure Force variant of the Dart Zone Quatroblast on the Walmart website for just over $14?
    I think it would make for a pretty cool video to do a comparison on all front pump action blasters from all companies. Comparing stuff like the Alpha Trooper, Turbo Advance, Quatroblast, and Thermal Hunter for example. While also comparing the benefits of magazines and drums.

    I dont know what the f*ck is wrong with the waffles you bought. have tons of waffles and they have never broke once and they had good foam quality. CZcamsrs infact love these darts
    This video was published 4 years ago, so maybe the production quality of the waffles has changed since then.

      These were horrible foam wise, and despite being a CZcamsr myself (had to) I didn't love them.
      Since this video was published, the foam has indeed improved quite a bit. I've had a few hundred more since this recording with better luck. Still, most of the love for these comes from stock blaster users, or flywheel users, so results can vary vs me as a springer fan.
