2021 SUMMER SPECTACULAR GRASSTRACK

The Summer Spectacular incorporated the Best Pairs, and following a spectacular previous day of the British Youth Championships, everyone was looking forward with great anticipation to the Summer Spectacular, which had an absolutely fantastic entry in all classes. Sadly, the weather changed all of that. Practice went perfectly, on a track that was dry and like a snooker table, but then the rain hit. The rain was so heavy, it was decided to leave the track 1 hour after it stopped raining to allow for track preparation. Even after this, some riders decided the wet track was not for them, but racing got underway for those who were prepared to race in wet conditions, and to be fair, they did a pretty good job. I wouldn't say the racing was fast, but more tricky, as only a few knew how to handle the conditions. One of those was Paul Hurry, who made it look so simple, and not difficult at all. Then a thunderstorm hit the track again, and that was that.
