eine interessante Feedpoint konstrucktion. ich teste es für 402 MHZ.

Look for a pair of mitre shears. I use them in double glazing. Uses a Stanley knife blade that can be replaced. Perfect for cutting coax.

I made one of these for 70CM and it was really good at TX but terrible at RX,I did check for DC short & there wasn't. Most of my HAM buddies are confused how I achieved this inballence of TX & RX gain.

I wonder what plans you used Rob? I must admit it is strange. Maybe your front end is being overloaded?

@@FB-np7cg Im not 100% sure what site it was, Some time ago when i built it. But the plans look very much like those found here www.rason.org/Projects/collant/collant.htm

Ok just interested. I've seen this in several plans. Some are terminated with a resistor. Some have quarter wave end whips, some open ended. I'm not saying any are better than others, but I have tried most plans and I have my favourite.

I am curious about this. Having poor RX but good TX makes me initially believe it is a "decoupling" issue. Did you include the balun tube and the three ferrite chokes at the base of your antenna? Also, is the reception bad due to noise or are the signals "clear" but weak?

@@joboring8397 I'd put my money on the front end being overloaded. The op didn't state what transceiver he's using, but I'd guess it's a Chinese SDR based. The higher gain antenna coupled with its height may be the factors.
