Tuesday is going to be a very interesting day for England. I hope we get the army involved. Freedom is worth fighting for, England is worth fighting for.

@DrJReefer i don't think they actually wanted to 'get their hands on them' as they were just throwing stuff and yelling. it was more posturing to make them feel big. that's why they began to get bored quickly and the numbers thinned by the end. there was no charge against the cops or pitched battles like you might see in riots in, say, greece.
the violence is becoming a little much, but something like this NEEDS to happen. sadly, violence seems to be the best way to get a response.

I know. You've misunderstood, The rioters are attacking police and innocent people because they think there untouchable. If we call in the army that solves the dilemma and teaches the pricks a lesson.
I don't know about British law. In US or elsewhere, if you attack or assault the police like them, that is a felony charge. What happen to the guns? Do officers in London carry a hand gun? Those are not a civilized people, polices have the right to protect their own life also. I don't know about you but when I looked at the video like this one, I think polices have been downgraded and insulted. They are law enforcers they should have more authority, especially in situation like that.
If any of you think that these police officers are cowards then I would invite you to borrow their riot gear and stand their and take that abuse. I counted 8 officers in riot gear and at least 50 scumbags. The officers didnt turn and run they performed a practised retreat. They were in a no win situation there. Far too few officers to deal with that crowd

@lauls85 I seriously doubt having guns would have helped this situation. There was every chance the police would have been over run and diarmed and shot with their own guns. that was 50 or so rioters vs half a dozen cops.
@kokonolol A man was killed by police and a protest was held by the family. Tons of people were gathered and some decided they should riot. The riots are meaningless and arent assosciated with the death of the man though :/

@DrJReefer I don't mean that they should shoot randomly when they have a handguns but at the very least the rioters wouldn't dare to throw things at them. Officer's jobs are to protect people and their properties. To me, they are too "soft" & should take firmer action against those who are vandalizing & looting. Of course polices can't do everything and I believe they've done their best. Nevertheless, this is an insult and smack on their faces. They should have better equipments to control riot.
