Fun fact: Weedle actually CAN learn a Normal-type move, two of them in fact! However, they're exclusive to Pokémon Go. Shadow Weedle will know Frustration, and purified Weedle will know Return. Kind of interesting, at least to me.
That is super interesting!
obviousky
Also: Zarude can’t learn Sandstorm.. :/
That’s a damned shame
Togetic and Togekiss are NO LONGER the only fairy/flying types. Enamorus was introduced in Legends: Arceus
Damn you Bulbapedia! lol
I feel so stupid. I’m only just realizing that the names for Mesprit, Uxie, and Azelf are meant to derive from Sprite, Pixie and Elf🤦♀️.
I had a lot of those moments when making this video 😂
Oh Uxie is Pixie! I got the other two but Uxie always confused me.
Oh shit I never realised this
Interesting to know, considering at the time I didn't even think they would be referencing stuff in real life. But just seeing them reminds me a lot of guardian angels from catholic religion itself.
i never knew that!
For the wooper fact, it's actually the second case as in SWSH, you can trade an NPC a Galarian yamask to get a Unovan yamask
Yeah I missed that! I looked through all the trades in games but I just missed it straight up lol 😂
or Let’s go where you can trade Kantonian forms with Alolans forms
@@stevenhumenny816 y’all stink and I love you
Yeah I'm also pretty sure that in swsh the galarian meowth to the regular meowth was the only way to register Persian in the pokedex before it could connect to pokemon home
18:44 In Japanese folklore seahorses were considered to be baby dragons, which explains why the Horsea line are categorized as the Dragon Pokemon and why Kingdra is part dragon type
That does track! I actually knew that but thought I was sillier
46:58 guessing you meant "2002" rather than "2022" lmao. i love that band and always forget there's a pokemon called volbeat
LMAO yes! 2002 not 2022
Fun Fact: Comfey only has 2 unique cards in the Pokémon tcg, with one of those cards receiving 2 additional alt arts. 4 cards with 3 of them having the same effect.
I love that fact!
Bonus fact about Furret: it walks
Truec
To add the the Palkia roar the first part of the roar is also from a creature from a famous movie scene it’s the lizard that Obi-Wan Kenobi rides in revenge of the Sith
I wasn’t sure if that was true. I tried listening to them side by side and was sure it was the same.
"roaring moon is the only paradox pokemon based on a mega evolution"
iron valiant is too! A few examples are its arm blades are longer and pink similarly to mega gallade's (while regular gallade's are green instead of pink and white), and it has a more rounder dress, similarly to mega gardevoir.
That is interesting I never thought of it that way as it is a combination of Pokémon. Roaring Moons Pokédex entry also references it being based a mega evolution as well.
You misread the poliwag fact. It does say "did you know that the swirl on poliwag's stomach changes directions when it evolves INTO poliwhirl". Electrode and Voltorb do not explode when shiny.
The image I shared has the fixed version I believe.
I like Pokémon, video games, and learning about everything. Winner winner chicken dinner. I expect an update every few years!
I will for sure update it in a few years

Thanks for watching and commenting!
You pronounced so many names wrong, I had to make sure this wasn't AI. Lol Cool video. Didn't know some of these.
I am not AI bad at pronouncing names lol 😂
@@EverythingVideoGameChannel Well fortunately there is a pronunciation guide for all the Pokémon.
@@georgeray1906 link?
I love this video so far :)
Glad you liked it!
Love this video! You do accidentally show alolan Geodude being a ground/electric type instead of a rock/electric type btw
I messed up that line in editing I showed The geodude line as pure ground. I watched this like 3 times and missed it until release day
This vids is nice dude good job man
Thank you so much I’m glad you enjoyed it
@@EverythingVideoGameChannel your welcome
fixing the fact of Blastoise: in Pokemon Adventures Manga, Green's Blastoise can fly using Hydro Pump too.
That is also super cool!
Oh i can't wait for this, time machine go
Soon!!!
1:02:07
apparently glameow is honchkrow now
Shit 💩 lol 😂
THE SLOWPOKE SONG BRINGS BACK MEMORIES
It is a bop!
Fun fact: Flittle is a duck, when a wild flittle is caught or gets knocked out you will get flittle down and ducks have down
That’s no duck lol
Dewgong's interesting fact is that it can live in cold weather...
It is that and that flavor is reflected in its abilities.
Another thing on the topic of the Charizard family and spikes: Some old art of charmander has it depicted with spikes on its back, the same ones cubone has, or at least similar. One large at the top, one small below it. I like to think the two species are related! I think that’d make Alolan marowak make a lot of sense, maybe it’s the original!
I got look into this I haven’t seen that
@@EverythingVideoGameChannelI was surprised when I realized it! I’m pretty sure it’s prominent in the Adventures manga, in the RGB arc. I think it’s been shown in other early manga too

@@roymustang87 he was being supportive ☺️
I was under the impression that shiny Voltorb did not explode in the over world. From videos I've seen anyway
It won’t explode in Gen 9 but will explode in legends arceus
You are 1 of my favorite fact channels
Thank you so much!
This is genuinely insane. Can't wait for the mario boss video. Sad that i can leave just one like and sub one time.
Appreciate that a ton!
Shiny Voltorb won't explode in Scarlet and Violet. But Chaney will run away even if it's shiny.
Is this true? Where can I check this?
I think I read it on Google. It will still explode in battle but not the over world. Also, I found one in my game, the rest exploded, shiny didn't. But maybe it was a glitch, I've only found one.
@@redhoodprince5455 I’ll look into it thanks for the information
1:24:08 and 1:24:16 is wrong the type is now Bug steel instead of grass steel😅😅.
Thank you for letting me know. I watch this video 3 times before upload and still missed it.
explanation on why horsea is a dragon and why it evolves into the dragon type kingdra. in japanese mythos, seahorses are the infants of dragons. The word tatsu-no-otoshigo- their name for a seahorse- translates to "dragon's child". This is also why Hatori in Fruits Basket turns into a seahorse even though he has the dragon zodiac spirit
Yeah it does make sense in Japanese in English it seems so weird lol
This is so fun!
Thank you so much
Where my Wailmer fans at

The sunflora fact 😂😂😂😂😂
It’s too real lol
This channel is the best
Thank you so much slowly building it up!
Thank you for feeding my autism, mr sir.
Thank you for watching! 🥰
12:23 Actually, it only has a 2x weakness. Ground types aren't weak to themselves; it's Rock types that are weak to Ground moves.
I mistakenly listed Geodude’s types wrong. It is Rock, Ground ☺️
@@EverythingVideoGameChannel What about the Alolan Geodude? Is that Ground/Electric or Rock/Electric?
@@hotwax9376 rock electric and geodude is rock ground.
Ivysaur wasn't the first designed in the line--all the original kanto starters were reverse engineered from their final evos
There seems to contradictory things only. Some places say Ivy was 1st while others say Venasaurvwas.
I thought Wobbuffet was banned in gen 3 and 4 because of how its ability, lack of offensive attacks, and leftovers meant a mirror match was an inescapable stalemate, rather than it being normally too difficult to handle?
Yeah you are right it was a lot of things.
im sad the ONLY facts you thought about for Wimpod, and Golisopod where there abilities...Coulda mentioned how in the Manga Guzmas Golisopod broke the main characters arm or something :(
Some abilities are very interesting! I really like that they have the same ability but one sounds more badass and the other cowardly
@@EverythingVideoGameChannel True, they do have a neat theme of being cowardly Samurai
@@user-lp5vo6qb2i exactly! It’s so cool!!!
i bet all the wrestler entry has the sample size of 1 and its professor kukui
Lmao 🤣 that tracks
Cleflable
Yes
22:28 I raise you Lickitung's German name, which is "Schlurp"
Or Crammorant's Japanese name, which is "Uu". I like this one because "U" is apparently the word for a cormorant, but "Uu" is meant to sound like someone gagging, which Crammorant is known to do.
Schlurp is the second best name
nice job on this video my guy! let’s see more like this!
I no will be making lots more
I stayed up until 12 watching this
Hope you enjoyed it!
The wooper fact is not entirely correct. In the Let's Go games, you can trade kanto pokemon for their alolan forms.
Yeah that was a mistake by me. 😋
If you evolve an Ivysaur with sunglasses, does the Blastoise have sunglasses???
No other does not
cleflairy and cleflable is crazy
What about clefa though
Pokemon Legends Arceus is NOT up for debate on whether it’s a mainline game. It introduced new pokemon, was referenced in BDSP (yes those are mainline remakes) and was where you can get a legendary (Enamarous) and is the only way you can get it as of current date aside from Go.
I am not talking about from a canonical stand point. I mean from series stand point. Luigi's Mansion is canonical in the Mario universe but is not a main series game. That is all I mean.
@@EverythingVideoGameChannel it IS a mainline game. Any game that introduces a new pokemon is a mainline game (barring Pokemon Go & Meltan/Melmetal). PLA introduced a dozen variants & new mons plus a game specific legendary. From a lore prospective the events of Legends use the protagonist from the Diamond/Pearl/Plat/BDSP and lead into HOW spear pillar was destroyed & WHY it looked the way it did in Diamond Pearl & Platinum
@@EverythingVideoGameChannel from a meta prospective, you cannot catch Hisuian Goodra, you can breed a goomy but wouldn’t be able to evolve, same with Hisuian Petlil, Ursaluna in Scarlet & Violet without having a copy of PLA. Yes it is mainline. It is not a spin off series. It is part of the meta & part of the cannon.
For the most part, some of these facts are interesting. I did notice a handful of ones that are lazy like Houndour and Entei. Had to stop watching but im sure it wasnt easy putting this together. Keep making vids and continue to work on your channel. I see potential.
I liked the Houndour fact. I figured it was interesting to anyone who hadn’t played the gen 9 games and same with Entei. ☺️
I was thinking about it and think you think of these facts as "Lazy" because generation 9 is new and I am guessing you have played through it and its DLC recently.
Soooo can blastoise wear sunglasses if a sunglasses wearing wortutle evolves?
Damn good question… the answer at surprise cuz it is no
The actual answer is yes. Blastoise wearing sunglasses is available in Pokémon Go when you evolve a wartortle wearing sunglasses. And my source is my Pokémon Go account
@@benanderson7346 don’t tell people!
The Meganium SHADE 😂
You cant catch the other starter evolutions either
Island scan..... never used it really.
Time to replay BW, BW2 and USUM.
I missed a lot of extras like PokéStudios
It’s not shade just facts! lol also Typholsion can he caught in legends arceus
A more fun Psyduck fact: In the original Pokémon Ranger, Psyduck requires the most amount of loops to capture in the game-more than even Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza.
Ok I love that fact so much 😅
@@EverythingVideoGameChannel I found this one out myself firsthand. I love the Ranger games and realized there wasn't a list of the required capture loops for Pokemon in the first game anywhere online, so I manually went through the game and captured every single Pokemon and marked the loop number(s) down in a list. Some Pokemon have different loop numbers depending on which encounter.
@@evaboeglin5690 that is dedication did you post the results online?
@@EverythingVideoGameChannel Nah never did, not sure where to tbh. If I had a youtube channel I would, but I don't have a capture card and the ranger games are impossible on emulator without a stylus lol
@@evaboeglin5690 if the information isn’t on Bulbapedia you could share it with them to put it up ☺️
Mokuroh is Rowlett's Japanese name, not Litten. Litten is Nyabii
Damn it! I blame bulbapedia for that one lol
Nice
Noice
29:50 not true
lets go and swsh have ingame trades for regional variants
Yeah I messed that up. Not sure how I missed that.
The fact about scyther is wrong as eevee has several evolutions from different regions
The fact is it is the only split evolution where all the evolution were introduced in future generation. I may have stated wrong.
2:07:31 but applin did the same in swsh with flapple/appletun
It is possible but when I looked I couldn't find anything about it. None the Less I appreciate the comment! :)
the amount of names pronounced wrong is getting to me
Name 20 😝
This is a great video! CZcamsrs really need to start learning how to pronounce Pokémon names though
I will never learn lol 😆
This thought doesnt have to do with the video but.... Why does nuzleaf look like a red pikmin if it was a pokemon😂
Ummm… pass
listen to this counter of the unown fact: spinda
I do talk about that as well
30:47 this fact isn't true. The rarest shiny is getting a specific pattern on Spinda.
That is sort of true but different spots aren't really a different form plus I mention it later in the video!
This channel has huge potential
2:55 omfg, same it confused the hell out of me because I just 5hough that if it was the same name but with more words it was the final evo
Exactly that’s how most Pokémon work lol! Also thanks for the kind words
The fact for Litten, that's Rowlet's japanese name
Yeah the link I used took me to that. Thank you for letting keep know though. ☺️
@@EverythingVideoGameChannel I figured it was a typo or something. It's hard to keep so many facts straight. Good video though!
@@kelseyselkie8494 I even rewatched like 5 times lol 😂
Lol hey we're all human! We all make mistakes
The venusaur one is just wrong, no? Your rival has venusaur in red and blue if you pick charmander.. for multiple fights, so you can at least see it
Not if you start with Charmander then he will have the Squirtle line :)
@@EverythingVideoGameChannel im a fool. Gen 7 onward rivals have rotted my brain😭
@@Spizzles well I appreciate your view and comment nonetheless
Damn i just watched you're every mario enemies video. Didn't watch it all tho.
Hope you enjoys what you watched
Scott!
Love Scott!
(To be clear, it's perfectly understandable to make mistakes in a video like this, given its length, this isn't supposed to be like, some sort of strange childish one-upping thing)
The Gengar fact is specifcally true of Mega Gengar, not base form Gengar.
Edit: basically just going through the video now, you referred to Marowak's signature item as a signature ability and forgot to bring up Shadow Bone as Alolan Marowak's signature move
The Mega Medicham one isn't correct. Huge Power and Pure Power don't double the base attack, they double the attack after other calculations. So Azumarill, whose base atk stat is 50, can, with max atk and an atk boosting nature, have an almost equivalent attack stat to Hoopa-Unbound, who has a base 170 atk stat. I'm not sure what equivalent base attack stat Mega Medicham (and Mega Mawile, who is stronger than Mega Medicham with base 105 and Huge Power) would have, since there's no other Pokemon that's as strong as them. A max attack adamant Mega Mawile has 339 atk at lvl 100, meaning a theoretical Pokemon would need 678 atk at lvl 100 (with max atk EV's and an attack boosting nature) to be this strong. (For reference, Mega Mewtwo X, which has the highest raw attack stat in the game at base 190, only hits 526).
Mareanie actually can't learn Baneful Bunker, it's just Toxapex
Cotton Down doesn't lower everything's speed when the Pokemon's sent out, it's every time they get hit by an attack
Milcery doesn't evolve by spinning the console, just by spinning the joystick, which makes your character do a spinning animation.
Also not a correction, since the fact itself is right, but due to Swablu losing its normal type on evolution and Altaria losing its flying type when mega evolving, Swablu and Mega Altaria don't share any types with each other
In a similar vein, Rufflet's fact was that it's 100% male, but a more interesting fact is that of the Pokemon that lose their normal type on evolution (Azurill, Swablu, Eevee, Fletchling, and Rufflet), it's the only one who gained this property in a later game, with Hisuian Braviary.
For Lechonk, Gamefreak's 2023 April Fools Day prank involved changing all the Pokemon on their site to Lechonk
Thanks for the comment! I appreciate the correction!!!
you got the goedude lines typings wrong in the editing
also thick club is marowaks exclusive item not its ability
also also pseudo legendaries arent all 3 pokemon evolution lines, kommo-o is 2
I appreciate all the corrections. I watch it like 5 times and still missed stuff

No, you didn’t just say “MA NOON” for Minun. 😭💔💀💀💀 I literally never do this, but It’s pronounced “my nun” brother. That really hurt my ears. I may sue you 😂
Please don’t sue me lol 😂
A lot of the pronunciations were... off to say the least
Some of them were off but a lot of them. There are a lot of Pokémon and they have weird ass names lol
@EverythingVideoGameChannel hey man, at least you know lol. Me personally it bugs me because some of them feel like they should be said one way but not the other, or because it's based off of multiple different languages there's many ways to say the same name
Like with Raikou. It's Japanese, which have no vowels, and "ou" is always said as "oh", so, it should be "Rye-Koh", but everyone I know says "Rye-Koo" and I don't get it xD
Also, side note, with Celesteela, it's "Princess Kaguya", or "Kaguya-Hime", not "Kagaya". If I remember correctly the UB is based off the myth, as well as a Japanese satellite by the same name.
@@HerotonAlmighty2011 i learned raikou right after I put the video up. I have never been one of different languages. I really love games especially Pokémon and Mario
