It’s very empowering when you realize that you actually can be away from each other. In fact, you even begin to enjoy it! And then you remember that you lived an entire lifetime without that person before you met and you find yourself again! The lady who is courageous and strong-when he’s there and even when he’s NOT! Goodmorning Akiny! I pray you are doing well! You have been on my mind and heart and praying for you! I know how it is when our husband has to go away to work. As for me, 1 day away from my hubby seems an eternity, but as the saying goes,” when we’re apart, our ❤ grows fonder!” Very true! My hubby is a Military contractor so there are some times when I dont see him for several days and it’s hard, but I know we will be back in each others arms soon. I just keep busy and we do communicate throughout the day and express our love for one another. Just hearing his voice each day when he is gone makes me feel happy. I take the time to listen to Christian worship music and to have one on one time talking to God too. Akinyi, you definitely have some type of childhood trauma. I know because this is how I used to feel and sometimes I do get triggers. It is a difficult and sad experience but know that you will be okay. The things I did to help me was to focus on my kids, went to work and spend some time with others. Are you able to see your stepson while Benjamin is gone? Will his mom let him come over for a visit? Do you drive? I know your immediate family is not there and this makes it even harder. Do you have friends or perhaps the ladies from your church can visit or go to lunch?

I’m so sorry to see you so distraught. Before you know it he will return. Thanks for turning it around for God’s glory. Think of things to do for yourself. Go for a couple spa visits while you await your loves return. Go treat yourself to. Couple nice outfits take nice walks in the evening. Go and serve/volunteer and a nearby shelter or food pantry. Etc…. Aaahhh the love of a wife, it’s beautiful. I am sure he feels warm inside knowing that he is missed greatly. Stay connected to God, never stop loving each other, your example could be uplifting someone else.
