Yes dude! Thanks a ton for the tour. Also, re-watching the footage, that ridge line you and Tommy rode at the summit looked wild. I'll have to send you the clip.
I remember there used to be a really cool part of Memphis that ducked into a sort of valley and you could carve up and down both sides, using them like massive berms. Does that still exist? I also recall a big (for me) rock drop to pretty much flat. This is all going back to 2005ish, so it may have been re-routed. Good work Matt!
Hey man! So I don't remember a valley section on Memphis (or maybe I was still in shock from the upper steep section that I forgot) but we did see the huck-to-flat which still exists, but the crew I was with said it's not even worth it to attempt since the landing is so rough lol.
@@MountainBikeMatt buck to flat definitely not worth it! They rarely are. It’s been so long I may be thinking of the wrong trail, but back then there wasn’t very many trails to begin with. Memphis was the main one. It’s a shame the camera doesn’t capture how steep it really is.
quality mtb content as always! also, love to see how versatile the Trance truly is sending those gnar. that also means awesome riding from you of course 😁🤙
Haha, thank mate! I did get a few people double checking that I actually wanna ride my trail bike and I'm like "unless you're giving me something else, than yes!" I will say it's been through a lot, and even though its been breaking down a bit recently, its lasted a lot longer than I ever expected it to 😅
Very cool Matt; I've been meaning to get out here. So the shuttling, I understand you drive up obviously. How does it work tho? Of the 3 of you did one guy drive you guys up. The driver returns to the bottom, you guys decend, then the driver switches and you carry on? or did you guys have a 4th person who volunteered to drive up n down for the day? How hard would it be to peddal up?
@@South_Van_Ilse_MTB the community at prevost is so good usually you can just show up with gas money and join a crew! Everyone is super friendly there!

@@therealridedmc Memphis got rerouted around that section - "the snakepit"
Yeah, I was blown away how steep it was, and then I watch the footage and was like "wait what..."
That rock drop hurts my ankles 😅 but it's still there, still no landing.

Typically, but with just the 3 of us we did retrievals with another truck. The pedal up is pretty brutal haha!
