Just saw this band last night in Tucson. OMG!!! Not only do they sound fucking awesome, but I had the privilege of meeting the band after the show. Everyone is so chill. I can’t wait to see them again. Rock on, Sarah, Parker, Tony, Spencer, and Shaun!!!!!! 🎶🎶🎶
Their old stuff and new stuff are completely different and equally as epic. I honestly prefer the direction they’re going in now though. The old in your face thrash from the first two albums was great but the versatility that Sarah adds is mind blowing. I felt like every track off of Gravity was different from the one before

Not only are they talented there really sweet and kind people I met them after one of their concerts I believe dragonforce was there to I didn't meet them though but the lead singer of dragonforce did a stage dive and his boot landed on my head 😂

Same. New Infernal Rebirth is still the best Starkill song ever imo. But. This is pretty good. I wasn't initially a fan of Gravity, but it grew on me and this song has become one of my favorites. Parker's cleans are fantastic. That said, I'd fucking love to hear an album go back to their roots with some New Infernal Rebirth sounding shit.
And. I'll probably get shit for even making the comparison, but Starkill's current sound sounds exactly like Amaranthe if Amaranthe were actually metal and heavy (and good). Like. Amaranthe has a cool concept, but is way too fucking poppy. Starkill is leagues ahead.

To Starkill: I saw you guys when you toured Canada with Arch Enemy a few years back. Your first and second albums were phenomenal; the first was especially incredibly well received. Shadow Sleep and whatever this album is looking like, not so much. There are enough bands who do this sort of style, and you guys have absolutely mind blowing potential. I have never heard such perfect soloing, and completely controlled speed drumming. I beg you guys to fuse that old style with this new lineup. You will be much more successful than following the herd. That being said, I really hope the fundraising goes well and I will be participating in the fundraising campaign regardless. Cheers.
Make sure to check the album teaser for album 4. Hopefully that will be what you're looking for. To me it sounds like VOTM on steroids. More complex drumming and guitaring for sure.
To me, this is already their best album. I haven't stopped listening to it since it came out.
