I find it super helpful to have a specific kind of shoe for a specific kind of run. Training shoes are designed differently than racing shoes and it can make a difference when you switch.
One of my favorite body weight workouts is super simple. Look up "spell your name" or "alphabet" workouts. Its a fun way to get in a good body weight circuit without having to think up a workout and will get you in good shape for OCS/TBS.
If people are so focused on just going to and doing good at OCS they're bound to be terrible leaders and probably want into the Corps for the wrong reasons.. stop enabling them.
Definitely disagree with you there. OCS is the first step to officership. It’s a test and being prepared has nothing to do with the type of leader you are. Some people can push through with little prep, but in my opinion if you do this you show a lack of dedication and discipline. You have to show that you can do your research and come prepared to make it. That’s the point of OCS. Leadership is developed through experience. Through preparation for OCS or TBS you demonstrate that you have the ability to learn and have the dedication required of a platoon commander. If you can show self discipline, dedication, and preparation for OCS then you most likely will demonstrate those qualities with you Marines when you devote time and energy into them. I think where people mess up is forgetting to take lessons learned and apply them when they get out in the fleet. Or when they pin LT and think they know it all, forgetting the preparation they did to get there still applies as they go through their careers.
First bullet: Proper footwear
First picture: Platoon running in boots
Company Grade leadership: I don't see the problem...
This is pure gold
Amazing attention to detail definitely Earned a subscriber
Honest to god brooks ghost 14/15 are the best shoes I have ever bought. They aren’t pretty, but they work… they’re heavier as a tennis shoe though…
Never considered racing shoes for the PFT

coud you create a body weight training scheme cause all the rest have weights and not all have weights

Why get a pair before we go?
can you make more videos ??
If I had more time I would. Unfortunately training changes a lot. From the videos and posts I have seen OCS is a different place now.
