The thing about razor upgrading the M3, supposedly he went all the way up thanks to the protagonist's M3 but the engine dying due to lack of oil would completely ruin it. So basically razor had to rebuild the entire engine himself
Starter M3 isnt slow because Razor upgraded it later, but to let new players get a grip of the game. Its same with all other prologue cars. Integra in UG1 and even Rachel's 350z have modest performance. In Carbon its also slower for the same reason and thats the same M3 still we got back at end of Most Wanted. Its literarily just to be more friendly to newbies nothing else.

Also let's not forget that this has a 4l V8 racing engine that is probably the most unicorn BMW engine out there. So Razor rebuilding that engine after it probably completely seized is very improbable.

TIL racing games have developer cars. You know, I'm kinda disappointed they didn't add them via cheat codes or something. This looks so fun to drive
in some stages of development, the devs will made a specific cars for testing purposes. In games like Most Wanted, the car is by default hidden and can be unlocked via third-party cheat tools.
Why the devs didn't put cheat code by themself? I guess it might broke the balance of the gameplay as demonstrated by Kuru here, and not because the devs were too lazy to put a cheat code as NFSMW has several cheat codes that unlocks bonus cars.

There's an option called ShowAllCarsInFE which unlocks that m3, along with traffic cars, cop cars, the prologue m3, the endgame m3, a unmodifiable Mustang (maybe a developer version), etc.

The Car Is Underrated Ngl, I Prefered Using The Street Version Than The Actual M3 Gtr Since It Look Cooler To Me.
Kuru should also be able to do the prologue part of the game with the street M3 if he disables skip prologue and enables the freeze car hack in Extra Options. It is on one of the function keys by default. (F6 I think.) Just unlock all cars, go to quick race, select the car, activate freeze car hack and back out to menu. If it keeps the car you picked when you get all the way back to the main menu, it worked. I think the game can be a bit buggy if Freeze Car is left on all the time, but if it is activated again right before the final pursuit, you keep the car you were driving in that as well.
Some info about the prologue M3. It is actually slower than the end game M3. There is a mod that removes the script that has the car break down so you can beat Razor at the beginning. Just look up "What if you beat Razor at the start of the game" on CZcams. There are links to installation videos to get the mod. Unlike what Kuru did, you still play prologue. Do not switch cars when using this mod or you'll lose the M3. If you try to select it in the menu the game will crash. You can make it a little better by giving yourself a bonus 500,000 cash in Extra Options and unlocking all cars so you can buy the prologue M3. That will allow you to switch cars like normal. The game only crashes because it doesn't count the original prologue M3 as a car in your garage until it is bought from the shop.
You can also just use the Freeze Car hack from Extra Options instead of installing the other mod I mentioned to keep the car or give the extra 500,000, unlock all cars, and just buy it from the shop at the beginning of the game, but you won't beat Razor at the start of the game without the other mod.

@@AntonMonster well the thing is with NFS remakes is, you don't need them. If I want to play Underground, Underground 2 or MW05 I can just do it. It doesn't feel bad or weird to play it because these are still good games, with good handling and gameplay etc, even the graphics are not that bad actually.
The classic RE games on the other hand have controls and gameplay that feel kinda clunky for today's standards. I remember trying to play RE1 on an emulator and the tank controls with fixed camera angles are really hard for me to adapt to.
In my opinion, remakes of older NFS titles would be a waste of time and just would add to the laziness of EA. I mean I don't want a game that I can play already, maybe this way is even worse than what I already have (soundtrack probably wouldn't be the same, and look at the GTA Trilogy "Definitive Edition"). I just want a new experience LIKE the older games, with the same atmosphere and the same gameplay principles, but in a way that expands on that principles and makes things better and not about the same

Unlike FO2's Flatmobile (Which is also same kinda insane level to this), this Developer M3 is fun to drive and... Since it's NFS MW, first crashing at 400 KM/H won't turn your car into fireball.
I’ve just downloaded a modded save game file onto my RGH 360 for most wanted and the dev m3 is stupidly quick and makes the game feel easy

I think I bugged my elise to get those kid of speeds that the developer m3 is getting. I am unsure how I did it, as it was on the PS2 and I only have PC version now. now the handling, I didn't have that kind of grip without speedbreaker.

M3 E46 Engine is Vastly different than the M3 GTR, different beasts. S54 I6 on the Regular M3 and then for the M3 GTR a V8 designated P60B40, both very capable engines and for this video really shows why the M3 GTR is King lol.

This somehow lead me down the rabbit hole of finding out that Drift Stage, the game that was basically abandoned for 8 years, somehow released out of nowhere a week ago. And it's more or less unfinished because the original team took the money and left.

I honestly always liked COD 4 over MW2. It didn't have that annoying red dots over the whole screen when you were low on health, and the campaign was way more fun. Multiplayer wasn't as fun in MW2 either, feels like people prefer it over COD 4 just because they played MW2 first.
