It is unlikely that a gap between 10th and 12th grade will impact your chances of being admitted to a US university. However, during the VISA interview, the university may request a written explanation for the gap and the VISA officer may inquire about it as well. Other than that, there should be no issues related to the gap.
I am planning to give my IELTS computer based test on Nov 1 and my deadline for ED1 is Nov 15. Will I be able to complete the application process in time?
Yes, you can. IELTS computer based doesn't take that much time. You will get your scores within a week.

This is an average TOEFL score, and very few universities accept it. If you want to apply to a better university, aim for a higher score.

Since you have just graduated, there will be no GAP period for you. The best time to apply would be for the Fall 2024 session, which takes place in August. It is recommended that you complete all necessary tasks, such as obtaining a passport and achieving a desired IELTS test score, within the next 2-3 months to ensure a smooth application process for the Fall 2024 session.

Don't believe these rumours, try scheduling an interview in your own country first. Only consider other countries if you cannot secure an interview locally.

Both IELTS and Duolingo have pros and cons. While IELTS is accepted by every university, some universities don't accept Duolingo. IELTS is more expensive than Duolingo.
