To what, specifically, are you referring?
The bear stopped to assess the surroundings before setting off, but the trailer he was transported in shifted balance with his weight, tipping the trailer, causing big noises, the noise alarming him, causing him to run. If his rush was what you were referring to, then no, bears don't rush out of their hibernation dens. They calmly look around, assessing the surroundings, they sniff the air for scents, then they walk calmly.

I'm from the boonies in Brittish Columbia Canada and I see bears all the time. Really big boars once in a while too. Just from experience I'd say that one was around 7 ft 575 to 600 lbs. Maybe 7 or 8 yeqrs old. Thats big, but not huge, definitely average for an interior (mountain grizzly) grizzly boar. They can get bigger though, a 9 footer is not unusual. With all that said, just remember, its hard to bring a scale to the mountains. Its just my guess based on experience

Well it seems that the parks department learned from some of their bear release mistakes of the past. No ranger on top of the trap lifting the gate, bear pulling the trap off the truck, mauling the ranger before killing the bear. Good job guys.
They have it nearly worked out. All that's left is the trailer tipping because there's nothing holding the front end down and the door slamming shut and almost decapitating the bear.

so cool! I remember camping in Yellowstone in 1994 and they caught a bear in the campground cause some idiot camper brought food into the campground. they caught the bear and released him back into the wild.

Why the collar?
Sometimes bears can get too comfortable with humans because dumb humans feed them and they will end up having to kill the bear fearing the bear willl kill a human . So, they trap the bears and relocate them further into the woods for their own safety. The collar is to track the bear's movement
